DRS was a lifesaver! Never had an issue with water in our basement but a recent storm changed that for us. We were hard pressed to get it dried out as quickly as possible, and every company we reached out to couldn’t get to us until at least the next day and that was just to assess. A friend recommended DRS, and within 2-hours of contacting them, they were at our house setting up air movers and dehumidifiers. We were assigned Trevor Reid as our Project Manager and he was amazing - friendly, professional, upfront, great communication. If he didn’t answer the phone on the first ring, he called me back within a half hour. We felt like we were in the best of hands for a really bad situation and each step Trevor walked us through and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend this company and if you can request a PM, ask for Trevor! After getting the recommendation from a competitor ( that says a lot right there!) as that company was too busy I knew we had made the right choice! As you can imagine in the first hours of discovering a major basement flood in your home of 27 years panic sets in! Trevor Reid , our project manager , was able to ease my fears and concerns on that initial phone call , even before arriving at my house!Trevor and his amazing crew, Ariel, Mathias, Brett, Dan and Matt were on "the scene" so quickly to begin the mitigation process. Trevor went above and beyond throughout the entire process, explaining every aspect of the mitigation and cleanup. Trevor made himself available any time, day or night, weekend to answer any concerns I had!He and the entire crew were beyond professional, timely, polite, hardworking, tidy and overall just great people!! The DRS office staff was extremely responsive and courteous to our needs.We needed to have a hefty freeze chest containing spoiled food and water removed from the basement up through a hatch way. The crew that was sent to do the job was excellent. The assignment required four guys to haul the freezer away and although labor intensive and time-consuming they were able to accomplish the task without any problems. DRS is a great company. They’re professional and responsive. I needed them at a time where it seemed like half the state needed flood restoration for the same event. They were happy to give me a quote despite the high demand for service. I also contacted a local competitor and a big name competitor, but DRS customer service far surpassed others and the cost was in-line with their local competitor. Trevor is great. My mom had a house fire in Dec 2019. We contracted with DRS to do the mitigation. In June 2020 my 85 year old mother signed a contract to have her house repaired. It was to be complete by Xmas 2020. By November the job hadn't even been started. My mom had to give DRS over $100,000 deposit and to date it has not been returned. At this point we are going to do what DCP instructs us to do with the help of our attorney. We have also contacted a local TV station to run a story on this company. My advice would be to run, not walk away from this company. My mother's belongings which were stored by DRS were returned with water damage and full of mildew. Many of her belongings were never returned. Many of her collectibles were returned damaged. I have never experienced anything in my life like this and I have worked with dozens of contractors. We had never before had to call a disaster company but I can tell you which one I will never call again should the need arise.

Like many Texans, I experienced water damage as a result of a broken pipe during the worst winter storm of my Texas life. DRS came into my life and home and performed water mitigation services over a 3-day period. Brett B. and Victor were the techs dispatched to my home. They worked to evaluate the situation, came up with a plan and started the drying out on day 1. Both gentlemen were professional, friendly and explained all aspects of their work. On day 2, Brett returned to check the progress of the fans, again, being kind and courteous. On day 3, both Brett and Victor returned, to do a moisture check and confirmed that the attic and garage were dry. They picked up their equipment, and shared a few stories of the work they were doing in the Austin area. Again, Brett and Victor are great techs and if DRS was based in Auston, I would use them again for any water disaster. Their project managers, Trevor was very responsive to a couple of phone calls and did a great job of explaining the mitigation process to me. And their project coordinator, Christine, was also helpful and responsive to emails. All in all, DRS sent me a great team and my comfort level with my home getting back to normal has increased 10 fold with their good work.Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair

Outstanding company to work with. Danny and Tammy have always taken outstanding care of my projects. They are the only company I use when it comes to home repairs. They take a personal interest in making sure my projects are completed to my satisfaction. I have used DRS several times and have never been disappointed. My last project involved fixing water damaged ceilings, floors and walls. I also had added some other projects such fixing some walls and painting. My project came out better than I expected. The freshly painted walls and trim look great. My floors came out great too. Best of all they cleaned up every day before leaving and did a final cleaning at the end and moved everything back into the rooms. I trust DRS so much that when my Mom needed a new roof and had water damage I recommended she call Danny and Tammy at DRS. She was very satisfied and they did a great job. I highly recommend DRS to anyone that needs repairs or other work on their house. Another outstanding feature of DRS is that they are quick to respond when you have an emergency repair. Each time I have called for an emergency repair because of a storm or water damage they were quick to respond and prevent further damage on the spot. Flooded basement? Call DRS without hesitation! Great service, responsive, and deliver on their promises.We contacted DRS to deal with 10"+ of water in our basement. They had a technician out within hours to assess the damage, extract the water, and begin the drying process. In the middle of a state-wide flood, they were somehow able to provide all of the blowers and de-humidifiers we needed to get the basement back to normal w/in days!Big thanks to Alyssa for helping manage the effort and Ariel for his professionalism and punctuality in getting things back to normal.As I told Alyssa, you never want to be in a situation where you have to call DRS but when you have an issue, these are the guys to ring!

After seeing this company on a project for work I had no problem hiring them for my own home. I hired them as movers to move all my families belongings in from a POD, a trailer, and a car. They were very responsive to all my communications and showed up when they said they would. They went as far as stacking the boxes in each room in rows so we could see what was there and access it easily. Who thinks of that!! I would highly recommend them for any of their services. I have already recommended them to a friend before getting the chance to even write this!!

From the minute Trevor came to meet us I knew I would choose him. He was polite, wore a mask and booties when he traipsed through our house. he was professiona,l yet friendly, explained everything ( ManyTimes!!) He used a less toxic mold spray when we discussed it and in general was easy to work with. He did everything needed with my Insurance Co. and the timing was quite fast (unusual he said). Failed sump pump... Flooded basement... 11pm... Husband working the overnight shift..Home alone with two small children. .Called DRS and they took care of everything! Came out around midnight, they brought a crew and an electrician to take care of electrical issues. Drained water, set up heaters, fans, dehumidifiers, etc. And also helped with my home insurance claim days later. They were extremely professional and did a great job. I hope you don't need them, but if you do I highly recommend DRS when disaster strikes!

A piece of faulty water softener equipment caused my basement to suddenly flood. I am a healthcare worker and this happened in Oct. 2020 when we were in the thick of the second surge of Covid. The water company recommended Disaster Restoration Services. I was literally in tears, when I met Trevor from DRS. He calmed me down and said he would handle everything. And literally, he did. From tearing up the old carpet to bringing in large fans and de-humidifiers so there would be no mold. He and his capable and very respectful staff really saved the day. My basement is recarpeted and there is no sign of the flood. I can't say enough about this company and I would use them for any other cleanups. Honestly, at first this company was my saving grace. They were working in TX due to the power outage and I had been on 10+ waiting lists since the demand had been so high. I'm really disappointed to state it feels like the company is taking advantage of the surge of work here for people that are already dealing with a stressful time. My damage in comparison was really intermediate. Water was already cleaned up, I have had fans running inside my home until a company was able to come out, but mostly the water was in places those fans couldn't access. They came out, did the water measurements, etc all that jazz and I had fans and dehumidifiers for a few days in my kitchen and laundry room. After everything was set up then it felt like pulling teeth to get them to come back and check on the status. When I did get a hold of the worker to come back out, it would never be in the time range they came. I waited at home when he called me at 2pm saying he would be to me within the next two hours and he did not call me until 730 PM asking if he could still come out. These machines are expensive, having them run at my place for an extra day without being needed costs money. The next time he came out again, I was expected to sit and wait at home because I had no idea when the worker would come. I received the invoice and was a bit shocked at the rates. 50 bucks for a box of gloves. 50 bucks for rags when by the time they got there the water was all picked up. If they even use one of these items they have to charge you the entire box. I have other contractors coming onsite and work still needing to be done at my place for the damage, so I was being proactive and asked if there was someone I could work with in case my insurance didn't provide me payment prior to the due date on the invoice. The Project Coordinator on the account replied simple with saying other Texas accounts have provided payment within 3- 7 days, I would talk to your insurance.
