Absolutely love this store! Great staff, amazing food, have all the best jarred goods of many kinds. I can go on and on about how wonderful this hidden gem is. Highly recommend the steak and cheese grinder or panini. Their selection of dinners to go are also great. This is a must see! They have candied bugs and all different kinds of jerky! Theres also an entire ice cream and candy shop. Love this place and will forever be a customer!

I love Cleveland's market. I've tried several of their sandwiches/grinders and they're all delicious. They have an enormous selection of candy. And, of course, the ice cream. It's so good. I try to get a different flavor every time we go. The staff, in general are all very friendly and helpful. I just saw the other day that Cleveland's Market has a new location in Torrington now. It's on Oak St. where Carbone's used to be. Which happens to be minutes from my house ☺️. Can't wait to go check it out.

If I could give a lower star I would. 10 minutes after they opened we ordered breakfast sandwiches and hash browns for best results clean the damn grill top and change the oil. The hash browns were burnt and tasted like old oil my sandwiches tasted nasty from old grease my husbands wraps had broken shell and tasted like old grease as well. The ice cream has ice balls in it from it melting and refreezeing. This chef has ruined the nostalgia of this place. If your looking for gifts they have wonderfully overpriced gifts. You drive by the place its never busy anymore it's sad to see this place has deteriorated this badly. Been going here for years and have given it too many chances. Never again

Most amazing Philly cheese steaks and the Lindsay’s peach salsa but on SATURDAY let me tell you the BEST Spanish food in the AREA, yellow rice and beans fried plantains and pernil (pork) and beef and cheese empanadas to die for! Fresh and authentic! Please don’t pass up the opportunity to try the best sandwiches and ice cream and Spanish food they have to offer and SO MUCH MORE

Literal rocks in the chicken sandwich we purchased on Sunday.Edit: this is not a fake review. I've never been here prior to this visit we have no connection with this restaurant in any way. You can check your transaction log we purchased two chicken sandwiches around 5 pm. We were debating calling, but assumed we would get the response similar to what you see below.

What a fantastic Country Store with an attached Ice Cream shop! This is a fun pit stop, where you are also able to sit outside and enjoy your lunch. The staff were friendly, kind, and attentive.The only drawback (which is why I deducted one star) is that the building itself is pretty old -- I really do love the building but it seems that it is not at all handicap accessible. I watched a few elderly customers try and walk up the dangerous stairs.The right side seating area is very dangerous for older folks. Please be careful to not twist your ankle!This place is absolutely fantastic, just be mindful and be careful and safe regarding where you step.

This has got to be the 5th time I’ve ordered sandwiches from this place. If you plan on spending the afternoon listening to the ladies fight behind the counter and waiting on your sandwich you ordered ahead for, by all means, go here. We called ahead over 20 minutes before lunch and once again the sandwiches were NOT READY. They took 2 other orders and fulfilled them before we got the order. It was only 2 simple sandwiches. The service here is absolutely a disaster in the deli. It happens every single I have ordered from here. Quite frustrating. I’ll only go here for ice cream.

Very cute awesome little store. All kinds of candy and a lot a lot of candy from back in the day. I love all the nostalgic candy and little treats and what not. Really good ice cream and I've heard the food is good too however I haven't been able to try it yet but I will. The lady scooping the ice cream was very nice and friendly and had a great sense of humor and was very sweet with my daughter and my friend. I also love that they have seating outside.

The guy working the ice cream counter - reddish hair, thin build - was amazing and totally made the experience. He was making jokes with the customers, having fun, and all around seemed to really enjoy his job. How refreshing!!

2nd time here. I love this place. The food is good. Had the philly steak and cheese both times and well worth the price. If you get it on Friday's is the daily special and includes chips and a soda. Definitely can't beat that price. The workers are all nice. Make sure to step into the other side, it takes you back in time. The local jams and jelly they sell is tasty as well. Side note, if paying by card...there isn't an option to leave a tip so don't forget to have some cash on had to leave the crew a tip. :-)

Try them on a Friday & get the cheese steak, you will not regret it! I'm a mushrooms onions peppers & pickles guy, but they'll put anything on it you want. Chowder is one of our regular buys as well, my wife loves it. Very friendly & accommodating staff. We usually wind up in the Ice cream/candy side after my son's soccer games, salted caramel is my favorite, my son's is cookie dough, my wife's is chocolate brownie.

The place is adorable. The candy and ice cream section is definitely a place to visit if you like old school candy and some great ice cream and chocolates. The food though isn't the greatest. I've ordered from there about 5 times. The first experience was lovely. Food was delicious. The second was takeout. I didn't sit on the deck. Order was wrong. They said they will replace the sandwich they did but got it wrong again and put gravy on instead of on the side. The next time was burnt chicken cutlet and I didn't say anything because who doesn't make mistakes .. then today I ordered a chicken cutlet wrap and the chicken was extremely fatty. I wish it was different. I like it there. I just don't think the food is of best quality for the price.

We love Cleavlands! Recently there has been a new cook that doesn't necessarily have the best personality and his sandwiches come out very "sloppy" but still, we enjoy making the occasional trip for a sandwich and ice cream. Super sweet young man in the ice cream section yesterday! Loving the new renovations to the deck as well.

I Come to this store once a week because because they are best known for their sandwiches. Can’t go wrong with a steak and cheese. I am always greeted with the upmost respect. I’ve been coming to the store for 10 years and I am glad to be able to see how much growth this establishment has obtain. I would recommend this place to all because it’s not just the sandwiches it’s also has ice cream and candy. Most importantly it’s a family community base business.
