Had to have my VW towed they fit me in to their schedule. I can’t say enough about how well I was treated. Dave in service was especially busy the day I picked up my car but he took his time explaining what was done and what I should do. Over all I had a great experience! I would highly recommend. Also they send you a video to show you what the problem is which was really impressive.

Update on my review.After my less than stellar review a few weeks ago, Danny McDuffie, the sales manager reached out to me regarding my remarks.At that point, I wasn’t ready to speak, however, Danny kept contact. He was polite and not pushy. He just wanted to see if he could make things right.After several conversations via phone, I felt comfortable enough to go in and I was impressed with Danny’s empathy and willingness to spend time with me to explain what he could do to make things right.Danny has been there for many years. When my wife and I bought the car, he was the finance manager and he’s since been promoted.They made the right choice. He took responsibility for someone else’s mess and when it’s time for us to lease another car this summer, we will give Valenti the first shot at a purchase.

Bought a used 2 year old Subaru here. You would think that the cars a new car dealer sells would be thoroughly inspected and any issues would be resolved before placing used cars for sale in their lot. Especially considering their sister dealership is a Subaru dealer.I full take responsibility for not requiring an inspection from a third party, but I never expected to find so many problems with the car I purchased from these guys. The day I took delivery, it was pouring rain, so conditions for inspecting the car were tough.The windshield had two small cracks/chips. There was hidden front end damage - no accidents on Carfax. Two rear tires had very little life left.I might expect this from a independent used car dealer, but not a new car dealer.Really poor job Old Saybrook VW. You can do much better that that!

I was 300+ miles from home and my car was vibrating after hitting a pothole. The service department rotated 2 damaged front wheels/rims to the rear of the car and said it was OK to drive home, but that I needed to replace the bad wheels/rims. I am very grateful for their practical approach which got me home safely.

Gina and Maddie were so helpful in my experience. I bought a car out of state that I found out had many issues after bringing it in for diagnosis. They were able to fix all the issues and my car is working beautifully now! I greatly appreciate their efforts in helping me and taking care of this issue. He provided me with a courtesy vehicle for the time my car was being repaired and the man working in the service department was very kind. I gave you four stars because we waited an hour and a half or more when we were told be there for 12:30 on the day we would pick up the car. So it was more like 1:45 when we finally got into the finance department to finish the paperwork.

The folks in the service department were professional and polite. The warranty work performed on my vehicle resulted in not only my car being returned dirty, but more importantly with damage to an exterior body part. The service manager looked at it and has ordered a replacement part. This is going to cause me to spend yet more of my time that is valuable to us all. This is time I will never get back....

On 12-23 I got chased out from Kia of old saybrook, those people miss treated me, I went to VW at 6:15pm, keep in mind that they close at 6:30, once I got there I was greeted by a financial manager, he said… let me hook you up with a sales rep, than he introduced me to Timothy, very nice man, he ask me… how can I help you today, I said I need a car around $******** he said ok, let me find the right cars, he find a new Jeta for the amount that I want to spend, the sales rep was an amazing person, than I started talking to the financial manager, his name is Bob, he was super respectful and kind, They stayed later only for me, they probably missed dinner with their families, I walked out of there by 7:30pm with a brand new Jeta, I totally recommend this dealer 💯, please ask for Bob financial manager or Timothy sales rep! Well done VW

Worst internet purchase experience thus far. Would not recommend distance purchase with them unless you have a way to inspect. FINAL UPDATE IS AT T BOTTOM OF THIS POST.Below is a list of things that went wrong. All of which have been documented by the shipper and myself.1), having over 80 emails and a handful of phone calls with the general manager I have received 4 additional pictures and I can't confirm they were even the pictures from the actual car sold.2) We have agreed on a down payment using my credit card. But they over charged me in the process. They did refund the charge, but if it would have went over my balance, would they pay for the fee?3) The sale of the vehicle included a Portfolio Protection service for either 5 years at $199. This is a optional anti-thief service, as stated on the contract. When I called to deny this service, one of their head managers said I have to have it otherwise they can't sell me the car. Fortunately, their general manager apologize and agree to refund me with a check, but I have yet to receive it.4) Shipping of the vehicle was relatively quick but their lack of preparation and details really shows. First of the car, the car shows up dirty, which you would not expect if you were buying in person.5) There are scratches, dings and chips all over the vehicle. interior and exterior panel gaps. It is clear that the vehicle was not thoroughly inspected, and it was not disclosed during the sale at all.6) This is a CPO vehicle, that means everything should be working on it, but instead I have a broken tail light housing, and a non-functing brake light.7) The car is missing all of the rubber mats, one of the keys and owner manuals, updated GPS map which I have asked for previously.8) One of the most irrigating thing was that they have sold me the wrong car. In previous over 80 some emails, I have specified this has the features I want. The car delivered didn't have everything I have asked for. The sale person admitted making a mistake based on incorrect personal experience, instead of going to check the car for customer.9) After contacting the dealership in regard to all these problems, the dealership offers to either take back the car or repairs all of the issues, retro fit the missing features, send me anything that was missing and send me a small compensation and provide a loaner car if needed.10) After having driven the car for barely over 40 miles in 3 days, the check engine light came on. They are informed again and I am still waiting to hear how and where do I take the car to for the repair.11) At no point I feel like they had me as a priority, especially after knowing all of these issues, my displease and the urgency to have my car ready to go due to my house hold move. I will continue to update this as it develop, I do hope I didn't buy a lemon and Volkswagen of Old Saybrook will do the right thing and fix all of this.Update after 2 weeks receiving the car:One week after we have received the car, the dealership had deceived to take the car back, because on one in my area want to deal with the retro fit of a OEM camera. The car was picked up in a few days and I was told I would have my refund by mid following week and I will have a receipt in the email. I have not seen the refund or the receipt.LAST UPDATE: After having returned the car to the dealership. We have received a check from them after waiting for about 3 weeks. In short, they did not ensure the car was ready for sale, didn’t pay attention to what they are actually selling, more concern with making profile by charging me made up fees, not following thought with what they said they would do, tried to wash their hands with after missed promised. Over all the business practice was really bad.

Best car shopping experience I've ever had! The staff are patient, honest, and willing to bend backwards to satisfy their customers. I travelled over 3 hours to buy a certified pre-owned VW Passat from them and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Shop at Valenti VW - you won't be dissapointed. A special shout out to Lauri - my salesperson. She was kind, caring, and thorough. Thank you 😃

This is by far the worst dealership I have ever purchased a car from and would advise anyone to spend their money elsewhere. I purchased a 2022 Passat R-Line and traded it in to another dealership losing over $5000 less than a week and a half after purchase because this dealership was so unwilling to communicate with and help me with my issue and are still unwilling to this day even after filing a complaint with Volkswagen stating their general manager would reach out to try to resolve the issue. Tim Emrich the sales rep took zero initiative to try helping when emailing him repeatedly after telling him the car was improperly downshifting down hill to the point I was being bucked forward in my seat. He advised to set up a service appointment. Mind you this car is certified pre owned and this car shouldn’t have been sold this way in the first place and when I test drove it the took me down a flat road so this was completely unnoticeable at the time. After telling him that he wouldn’t respond and then asked him to get me into contact with the general manager and in return days later he responds and gives me the service managers info instead. The service manager John Rinaldi is even more of a scam and a complete liar. At the time of purchase he mentioned a simple breather valve the car needed and how it’s no big deal at all and that I’d be owed the part and have it in writing in the contract yet to this day I still don’t have that part. The dealership got their money regardless of me not having the car or not and I am owed that part but that’s besides the point. I called the service manager to get that part and he didn’t know I didn’t have the car and was unhappy yet so when I advised him to mail the part to me instead he starts saying how I’d need to bring the car in because the breather valve isn’t just this simple fix after all and the intake has to come off and this and that. If that was told to me when I purchased the car I NEVER would have purchased it. That’s literal fraud and deceiving the buyer. He then said he’d ship the part. A week later with no part arriving I call back and he tells me he will no longer ship it to me even with it in writing and that “it’s not their problem”. Tim Emrich and Jon Rinaldi are both complete jokes along with the general manager at this establishment. I don’t know how they are even in business. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Everything about purchasing this car was easy from the beginning. I contacted the dealership through your website to see if the car was available and a few additional questions. Nick was great at responding and answering my questions. Other dealerships were not willing to answer such things without me coming in to talk to them in person. I finally made it to the dealership and spoke with Tim. He sent us on our way with a test drive. When we came back he asked "what would you like to do next?". He completely left the ball in our court and was not pushy at all. He understood all my needs and questions without me having to say it twice. He came back with a price that I thought was fair and willing to pay. He took care of getting the car ready and in a few days we picked it up.

Came in on a Tuesday, a few visits later and after answering several questions we had; we walked out Friday the same week with a car to our satisfaction.
