Probably one of my favorite places to shop if I need something I personally think it's better than home Depot prices r great they have great work clothes wide variety oof boots hats gloves. They also have live chics babies like 6 did kinds they have a huge selection of heaters and all the adapters um axes .huge animal food and assortments of any thing a good hardware store would have they also do drive up propane u can drive ur RV right up. Also have trailers u can rent flat pull behinds. Just an awesome awesome store. One of my favorite places to shop great for getting presents to those men who have everything I guarantee u will find the coolest and best presents and Thier staff is always willing to help and answers any questions u may have most r very knowledgeable so take it from me and support Thier stores 5****,

I have always enjoyed shopping at my local Tractor Supply store. They are typically well staffed with attentive and courteous employees. I’ve always found their inventory is as deep as it is varied. This past Friday I visited the Old Saybrook location for a needed part and I was utterly disappointed. Upon entering, two of the associates were literally laying their heads on the checkout counter and simply ignored me. I ask the location of the part I needed and was offered a wave in the general direction where I could find it. Their “directions” were wrong and I located what I needed, on my own, in the exact opposite area where the associates originally sent me. Upon checkout, the clerk made no apology for the inconvenience, nor did she even thank me for shopping there. She was simply cold, rude and inattentive: I made mention of the situation and received a blank stare in return. I did not and would not make a purchase from someone so disinterested and disassociated from proper customer service. I’ll be happy to continue patrolling my local Tractor Supply, but will never visit that location again. It is so, so easy to provide a positive customer experience and interaction and this location failed miserably. I’m hopeful some coaching or remedial training will come from this .Thank you.

Staff was extremely helpful when my car failed to start. A nice lady named Amanda supplied me with Allen wrench and socket wrench, and a nice gentlemen gave me a jump start. So happy with my experience here!

I've have mixed feelings on this tractor supply. Honestly it depends on what time of day you go I terms of good service. I'm all for casual conversation with anyone providing me a service, but some of the employees here are downright rude, rather condescending. If you're looking for quality tools, you're probably better off elsewhere. In the 3 years I've been using this store, not one of the landscaping tools I've purchased has lasted more than two weeks. That's not because I'm rough on my tools either! Far from it! On another end of the spectrum, they can have some pretty good deals on work clothing, and quality animal feed. If you're going in to fill a propane tank, CALL AHEAD. There's usually only one or two people certified to fill it, and they aren't always there.

First time in store. Sent here on errand by partner in need of wheelbarrow tire repair/replacement. Customer service top notch. "Cowboy Mike" came to my car, got out the old wheel, brought it into the store, helped decide if it was a repair or replace, then found correct new wheel. As I was checking out, he reappeared and carried both tires back out to car for me. Dreaded errand rendered painless. Great job! Keep up that old school service. How refreshing.

This place never has what I need and the people here know nothing about what they are selling. I ask for a feeder and they hand me a watering can, I ask for pigeon feed and they hand me rabbit pellets. The agricultural items here are all the same low quality brand - there is no variety or options. Half of the time the shelves are bare.The chicks they sell are all either male or unsexed; They don't seem to realize that most people want chickens who can lay eggs - hens, and that some people cannot legally own a rooster in many areas. If you can find a small chain or family owned feed store I guarantee they'll have better variety, more options, sexed female chicks and staff who know something about what they're selling.

We went to pick up bird food but as usual we wound up getting a few other things it's that type of store you can't go in and just get one thing. The people are nice and it's a pleasure to shop there

What I like about Tractor Supply is that they are a nice mix of big box and Hometown. They have what you need for yard maintenance and gardening. If you are doing the "homesteading" thing, even better. Gardening supply, livestock supply, fencing and you can even better your chicks and baby ducks in the spring!

Waste of time. Ordered 25 packages of bio bricks that were in stock at the store online in Ct. Waited till the next day to pick up and then drove from Charlestown, RI to Old Saybrook, CT. Get there and hear that the company doesn’t even carry that line of bio bricks anymore and that the guy that picked the order didn’t even look at the pick ticket for the order, forget about calling us to say they didn’t have them. Everything else we had grabbed to by at the store went back on the shelves, not spending a penny their again. All we get is sorry. Joke of a company to keep the item online for each store.

Easy in, easy out on the out skirt of town. Located close to route 9 in Old Saybrook CT, 06475. This farm directed store has everything from feed to tractors, hardware, pellet and wood stove. They also carry pellets and bio style blocks for wood burning stoves including piping and all your wood burning accessories, even a variety of log splitters. Good selection of small pet needs from food for your dog or cat to guinea pigs and hamsters. Pets ars welcome as i have seen dogs in store picking out there own toys. Great place that if they dont carry it im sure they will do their best to get it for you and without a long wait.

11/11 /2018 still two high prices . Also no indavial parts for one thing or another . Can not stand 6 % sails tax for ct. You can find things hear but expensive $$$$$$$$. If you can find it at road island store get it there. Less taxes.
