I stopped in to pick up something nice for my family as we were having to put our beloved family dog to sleep the following morning. The owner was very kind and offered him a special treat which he loved and was the last thing that he actually ate. The quality of everything was great. I will be back for sure.

Made a nice care package for my mother in law with their various salads. The cucumber dill salad has a nice unexpected crunch. Added a lobster note card and presented it in their own fridge bag. Worked like a charm. I am def new fav son in law. Haha.

I have always gotten first class seafood and service at Atlantic. One year, when I used to live close by, I stopped in late on December 31st. I must have been the last customer of the day before they closed for the New Years holiday. I bought a few items for my celebration, including a container of lobster bisque. When I heated it up later, I found that they gave me a huge portion of the lobster that they probably had for sale that day. In this case, it really paid to be the last customer of the day. But even on a regular day, the portions are decent, the seafood fresh and everything tastes great.

I have been going to this local fish market for years; I've never had a bad piece of fish, nor have experienced bad customer service here. I especially like the smoked salmon and the rainbow trout--both of which are excellent. Also, they have a nice variety of perhaps half a dozen seafood-themed soups, which are in a frozen case. My favorites of these are the 'Maryland Vegetable Crab' and the 'Rhode Island Clam Chowder'; simply delicious. The only drawback is that they haven't added to nor have changed any of their soup selection of late, so essentially, it's the same old, same old for the past five years at least.While this shop does have great quality fish and seafood, their prices are often close to exorbitant; I don't want to feel like I have to take out a mortgage just to purchase tonight's dinner.There's kind of an elitist vibe to the place, it must be said. Yet I was very disappointed (although not totally surprised) to find out that they don't accept EBT here. They must want to keep 'riff-raff' out, I guess.

We spend much of the summer on the shoreline and frequent Atlantic Seafood - at least when I get skunked while on the water. This past winter we tried one of those online, deliver to your house companies. I won't say which company but Atlantic's fish is fresher and tastier. I don't mind the drive of 40 miles from Wethersfield and keep the business local. Most recently, the Norwegian salmon was fantastic!

Ordered the Valentines lobster dinner for two. Cost $75.Came with jumbo shrimp cocktail and sauce, two lobsters, and two desserts. The food was absolutely delicious. Shrimp was fresh and the lobsters were a good size. They have great seafood here.I wanted the lobster cooked and cracked. Thought it was odd there was an extra charge for cracking the lobsters. Heck its just a couple of cuts. Also, there was no lemon included. We think for the money that should have been included as well. Would definitely order from here again but they shouldnt nickel and dime you for things given their prices.

My husband stopped in Saturday and came home with cooked shrimp with cocktail sauce, lobster bisque, baked stuffed shrimp and Nantucket Bay scallops. I am very picky to shrimp because of a chlorine taste I get from alot of places. These had NONE of that. So good. The next day we tried the bisque and the baked stuffed. Nice flavor with lots of chunks in it and the shrimp stuffing was very tasty. 2 days later we had the scallops. Broiled in butter, lemon and white wine with just a touch of ritz cracker crumbs. Even 2 days after the market, these were the tastiest little sea treasures. So sweet and fresh. Wish they weren't so far away for us but will spread the word to family down that way of the great seafood this place offers.

I tried to give Atlantic seafood the benefit of the doubt initially but now I’m going down the road to Saybrook fish. I have gotten shrimp several times from you guys and it’s tasted (for lack of a better word) funky. I thought okay, maybe it’s just a fluke thing. Stopped in the other day for a pound of shrimp. It tasted bland and fishy, and the texture was just off. Add the rude customer service on top of it and I’m done.

Atlantic Seafood is top notch. The staff is kind and friendly. We order some peeled and deveined, cooked shrimp that was some of the best shrimp that we have ever tasted. The staff offered us a taste when we were in the shop and it was so good that we had to buy several pounds.

I pre-ordered 2lbs of salmon to be sliced in 4 nice pieces. When I got home, I had 4 very uneven pieces, two of which yielded very little salmon and were quite thin. I also noticed they were packaged and had a sell by date of the day prior. Obviously not fresh the day I picked them up. Very disappointed as I drove 30 minutes because the best seafood market in Colchester (where the owner gets his seafood off the docks of Boson each morning) was closed on Mondays. This coupled with being greeted by a not so friendly employee means I won’t be back.

We live an hour away and have shop here as our doctor is nearby and we just spent $90.00 on Lobster and they couldn't give us ice!!!???? The last two purchases we made here were also $80 to $100 dollars!! This is NOT the way to treat customers!! The woman behind the counter is always friendly and polite but the man behind the counter seemed aggravated that he had to work!! Looking for other seafood places on the shoreline as we love the lobster bisque soup here but I like to patronize establishments that can serve the customers with ice and friendly, courtesies service! By the way, the kid behind the counter- probably college age did bring us a mini ice pack that one would put on a hand - a tiny ice pack!!!!

We get seafood here EVERY new years for over 15 years and have been going here for over 20 years. Seafood is always fresh and service has always been friendly. Ice is not an issue for us as we only live about 20 min away. Ice is sold at gas stations, if you live far planning ahead would be key. Wish you'd bring back the king crab broken pcs. Bisque is delicious, shrimp are huge. Wide variety of seafood options. Keep up the good work. See you tomorrow for our annual new years dinner.

I would always buy my seafood at Atlantic Seafood until the pandemic. For their own reason, the few times I've been there, they will not allow me inside the shop to chose what I would like to buy. I, for one, when paying top dollars for good seafood has to see what I'm buying. and to top it all, the women working there are short, to the point of being condescending and rude when asked if I can go in the store, WITH my mask!

This is a must-visit for all seafood lovers. The staff is extremely nice and knowledgeable all while creating a socially distance safe space. We were so impressed with the quality and freshness of the food we will def be coming back!

OK fresh is fresh. Just dropped by on way to Cape Cod. Bought a lb of steamers. Each one was absolutely fresh and delicious that night . Everyone was very helpful . Gave me time to look at the wonderful selection and choose.
