They're open in March hooray! Wife and have enjoyed David's Place over the years with her Dad who's now gone but never tried their seafood. Excellent fried cod and clam strips, we took half home and enjoyed it again tonight. They have a good technique with fried seafood - light breading and not greasy. Good fries and coleslaw too. Friendly service, clean indoor dining. We've been coming here for years but this time merited a review. Thanks!

I was on the road at lunch time and stopped in. I love local independent places and David's was great. A lot of reasonably priced choices so I hope I have a chance to go back. I had the steak bomb sandwich which was really good. I didn't have to wait but I bet it gets busy.

Have been a couple times each season with mixed results. Tonight was the worst of them. The clam strips were visibly overcooked and the taste reflected it. Since they were dark, you'd think they wouldn't let it leave the kitchen like that. They weren't busy and we had phoned in our order since They were close to closing and I didn't feel I could ask them for a new order. They got part of our phone in order wrong and she wasn't paying attention and tried to charge me again for something. She was a little indignant about it which is why I also didn't want to complain about the strips. The onion rings were soggy and the shakes thin. For over $40, we could have had a nice meal out elsewhere. Maybe fried seafood isn't what we should get. Maybe a sandwich would be a safer bet. Too much inconsistenty to count on this place.

Awesome spot to kick back outside and share a picnic with your two legged friends or four legged! My dog and I split a burger that was delicious and got 4 paws up from my pooch!It’s fried food at its best and the milk shake was perfect.

Love David's!! Perfect roadside clam shack, a great entry point to the Connecticut and Rhode Island shore. Once we see the big dinosaur and David's, it's like a sign that vacation is on. Great fried clams and overall good food and ice cream. Nothing exceptional about the food but it's a big menu with all the classic clam shack fare plus more variety than many places like this. An American classic! Plenty of seating inside and out.

Small, local, always great. It is what it is- a fried seafood place but it does it so well. Portions are great. Quality is top notch. Service is on point. There's plenty of outdoor seating and a few tables inside. Pet friendly as long as the pet is friendly.

3 stars based off other. Visits as well. Today I ordered a steak bomb with no peppers. The girl did say without peppers the serving may be slightly smaller, understandable but based on what you see pictured it must generally be a pepper onion and mushroom bomb with a steam as a garnish. Will go back, wont order this.

I was excited when I heard good icecream and good food I had to check it out. It was at a glance a nice layout from the outside with nice signs out together for the menu. But when I ordered my food and icecream it soon went down hill. Icecream sundae was made with different toppings that I asked, the icecream was so so as not many options. Boasts homemade but it’s not from them as this can’t be made on premises. A total let down, food was a ripoff, and the inside accommodations was weirdly put together. I wish I got my money back for all the bad food and icecream. Never going back, and I want curse off the person that mentioned this for me to go to.

Decent place to stop if you’re passing through the area, average food. Whatever you do DONT use the diced onions on your burger… there was no utensils for the SLICED onions so I used the diced onions instead. When we were finished putting the diced onions on our burgers, an employee came over and says “we don’t use diced onions for the burgers, they’re for hotdogs only”. Maybe they should make sure there’s utensils for the sliced onions or label the diced onions “HOTDOG ONLY”. Very rude to be telling customers how to use the toppings that are out for everyone to use. Definitely tainted our experience.

Stopped on a whim for the first time ever while waiting for my daughter and ordered the spinach pie with coleslaw. Wow! It was delicious! The coleslaw was probably the best I've tasted (other than the one I make 😉). What a great place! Looking forward to trying other items!
