Typical grocery store. I can usually get what I'm looking for. When it's open the hot bar is pretty decent. Staff is friendly. The produce and meat sections are fresh and the bakery is pretty good.

This morning I went to use the self check out, for 1 carton of milk. The lane said open. The women working the area came up cleared the screen and said " this is only for employees, we don't open till 7, JESUS!" she is the type of person that would deter me from ever going to the store again. It's so surprising to me to treat people so awful while being in the customer service field. Hopefully she doesn't work there long.

We shop here very early on Saturday- at 6am when they open. All employees I've encountered were exceptionally helpful, kind and friendly. There is a dark haired woman who usually does our checkout. She remembers who we are and she's always very personable - while checking our groceries out in an very efficient & accurate manner.I was also surprised to learn that they have quite a few foods from other countries. I've had to look ALL over to find chocolate bars from the UK in the past. I was stunned to see the one I wanted in a grocery store in our local area!I would definitely recommend this store.

BIG Y FROM NOW ON DELI ALWAYS CLOSED! Store closes at 10 PM. Three Deli workers at 8:02 pm 2/26/24 "Deli is closed she says, due to staffing issue!" But 3 people standing around talking.... Meat cutters working as 1 was cutting something .....AS IF IT WOULD BE TOO PAINFUL TO TAKE 1 MORE CUSTOMER.... THEY SHOULD BE FIRED! This is about 3rd or 4th time they close EARLY. I'll be heading to Big Y

I've noticed quite often when double checking receipt after shopping that sales don't always ring up properly and it's annoying to have an associate fox during checkout if noticing beforehand. If I realize after when overlooking receipt usually after getting home, it ia then very frustrating.

Good selection but a little confusing. Items aren't always in the most obvious place or where the aisle labels suggest. But basics are easy to find and the produce selection is fantastic.

Parking lot was crowded with anticipation. Once in the store, produce was stocked and available, meats were rarely available to non existence, cheese was limited to name brands at higher cost, dairy creamers were limited to brand names also at a higher cost, juice shelves were barely stocked, frozen items were sporadic throughout the coolers. Cashiers were available though numbers were limited creating lines extending into area inform of registers. Non perishable stock was being placed on shelves. For the first day opening early for individuals 60 and over, most would have expected the shelves to be stocked and ready for the day. However, deliveries will be made throughout the day.

I recently has a tall order for the flower department. Needed a same day bouquet, for an event I was hosting. The florist was filling in from another store with no manager on duty. I wish I had cought her name because she was outstanding! She made my arrangement in record time right there on the spot. It couldn't have come out more beautiful. So, hopefully she reads this and knows how grateful I am that she was the one who was working that day.

Store is clean and large variety of products. I noticed in the last few years the changes haven't been executed to benefit the customer, example is the self check out. Three hours before closing self check out is closed and one register open. If staffing is the issue then instead of the one open register far from self check out; open the closest register to self check out and open 3 self check out register so that cashier can assist both customers.update. the self check out are open and working great thanks

Colchester S&S is convenient to me, but since Covid I find they are low in stock. still running out of things that I buy every week. And the sell-by date is often very short, like for eggs, cream, bread. The bakery puts half-baked apple turnovers on the shelf even though the price has gone up quite a bit. And now we are expected to cash and bag ourselves. Shopper satisfaction is not a priority anymore.

So happy with my everything bagel!!! The employee WASHED her hands in front of me -put on clean gloves and gave me my fresh made bagel in a little bag !!! So happy for your CLEAN employee !!! Thank you God bless !! And it only cost $1.39 !!! Good priceI wish they had cream cheese single to buy near the bagels

Hasn't changed since my last visit. Out of sale items and associates with piss poor attitudes. If you don't.like your job find another. Same as always never have the sale goods advertised.

The bakery, especially Pies and cupcakes, are not good. I tried several and they are often stale and Pies have little filling that tastes terrible.Never ever again.

I have been going to this stop & shop for quite sometime and never had a problem until today when the girl that was bagging my groceries not only her overall behavior was rude, acted like she didn’t want to be there and her bagging was sloppy. Furthermore while she was bagging, she and the cashier were making comments that were less than professional.

Prices are average but coupons can have some success here. Using the app and getting in store discounts a must as well as the gas points.The produce section is very good in quantity and quality.

This is my regular shopping for food place and I have to say the self check out guy, Max, is an amazing employee and deserves recognition for his hard work. He truly does need some kind of reward or raise haha. Been frequenting this particular store for 3 years and yes, you do come across some days when they're wiped out of stuff but all the staff I've had interactions with are always helpful and friendly. Especially Max. Please give this man a raise or employee of the year. He really goes above and beyond for customer service..

Was visiting a relative in the hospital and stopped by to get dinner. Clean store, shelves were stocked, and the employees knew their stuff. Thank you to Chris and the staff in the produce department for taking time to help us find some odd items on our shopping list.

Stop and shop is well stocked all the time. The produce people will go in the back and look if its not on the shelf. Most cashiers are nice except this one guy with black rimmed glasses that always has an attitude. But ignore him and enjoy the store cleanliness and other awesome cashiers.

One of my most favorite supermarkets ever! Everything is so clean, and the food is extremely fresh! Prices are decent, sale prices are ridiculously low. The associates are always so kind and helpful. It's always a wonderful experience every time I walk through the door.

The store is finally upgrading after many years of broken freezers. But I still hate shopping here. Even in this time of social distancing they seem to have shrunk the space between aisles. If employees are stocking you can barely make your way through. Not their fault, it's the layout. Although most staff is friendly, as usual, I had to navigate the people in produce who seem to believe they are paid to socialize with each other in the way of customers who are just trying to do their shopping. While I recognize they are in the middle of a rearrange it took me twice the time to find things because of poor signage. Exactly what I don't need when I am trying to limit my contact with the outside world. Once again I found myself wondering why I didn't go to a different grocery store today. If it wasn't so close to home I know I would never shop here.

I only go there once in a while. Prices on some things a little high. But its clean people are nice. Well stocked. Looks like their hiring for a number of positions. The last time. I used the restroom there was a few years ago. This time i say100 percent improvement. There was a person there even cleaning. Bathroom clearly up dated. Best thing about the place is if u need something u know they have it.

Completely rediculous! Went in today with digital coupons loaded and they were sold out of everything we went for, and per staff had been for days. If you don't have the quantity don't advertise! One register open and one guy at the self checkout running between ten people whose machines were jamming every three items. Overpriced on everything. Second star only for friendly helpful employees.

Store locks the bottle return room at 8 pm every night despite my showing them the law requiring them to accept returns when they are open for business multiple times. Managers and most staff treat customers like an inconvenience and are rude and dismissive. Rarely are they fully stocked and no one can or will help you. And good luck using their curbside service. The pickers are lazy and say things are out of stock and if you go into the store there they are sitting on the shelf. Laziness and incompetence are the way of life at this store. Go literally anywhere else if you want a good experience.

Having gone to Walmart and realizing I can pay half of what I pay at stop n shop I switched and don't regret the savings.. also this store in particular has a terrible selection of items.. the one in Norwich is better
