Always go here to snacks and stuff but thinking i might not go back at all!, the older women there I'm sure she's the manager is really rude! I thought she was just in the bad mood until the 3rd time i come in and I just realize that she doesn't have that good of customer service. Please, treat nice customers with the same treatment they give you, I understand u have a long day dealing with other customers but it's not an excuse!!!

Excellent customer service I think the managers n assistant manager are awesome they always are very helpful and very good at customer service!!! Love this store. Absolutely no complaints from me and I go there multiple times a week my only issue was my phone was dead n their was no outlet for me to call a ride but still not an issue. 5 stars

Not too much to tell except that they have a phone number on their receipt but you will never talk to anyone as a matter of fact you won't even get a ringing. Prices are good. New workers are friendly. Sometimes it isn't stocked well but they had just opened.

Here's the major issue, each time I enter this store to buy some baking soda (that is all I ever get at the Dollar General) the same weird male in a black shirt will come to the register (even if someone else is actively on the register, that person will be removed) and the same strange male will insist on checking out my items. SUPER WEIRD. The last time I was in the store about 1.5 weeks ago in January of 2022, there was only one person on the register. A white girl, who scoffed and scowled at me as I walked into the store and made my way to the isle I needed. Upon checking out, the girl turned off her register lights (as I placed my items at the register) the creepy male in the black shirt rushed over to a different register and she claimed that I "had" to go over to the creepy guy to get checked out, again (while laughing and smirking, as though redirecting me to the same creepy checkout guy, every time I shop at this location, is some sort of joke). Obviously, I won't be back to this store EVER but if someone else out there notices this same creepy, PREDATORY behavior while trying to quietly shop, 1.) NO, YOU'RE NOT IMAGINING IT. I notice this happening every single time I go to this location and it's most likely happening to other women and girl shoppers, too + 2.) YES, it is CREEPY, WRONG AND PREDATORY. Do take your buisness somewhere where you can peacefully shop without being preyed upon by some CREEP! I was going to properly withdraw my support by returning the items I purchased that day (I should have left them at the register the MOMENT the rude cashier tried to redirect me to that creep again; I know 🙄) but then I realized, the creep might try to be alone with me at the register again. So I won't even dare go back to this store to make the return. I will just use their baking soda for the last time. Everything's cheaper online, anyway. Sick creeps.(By the way, this same creepy behavior took place at the dollar tree in Norwich back in 2019 + into 2020. I was continuously being directed or re-directed to an older, overweight, white, balding male who wore glasses, EVERY single time I went into that dollar store. Ladies, take notice. Something is not right inside these stores).

I've visited this Dollar General two different times, once the week they first opened and another time just last week. When they first opened everything was brand new and well stocked, as expected. They have a lot of items and a wide variety of products and supplies. I was pretty surprised at how much they fit in that building, but the isles are pretty cramped to make that happen. Still, the prices weren't half bad and that brand new feeling of everything really changed my outlook for the better on how well another budget store would do in Norwich.However, since my most recent visit, I'm thinking I was wrong. The place was not well stocked, which either means they are lazy about stocking the shelves or the traffic just doesn't warrant the place to be full with goods with expiration dates. I do hope I'm wrong about this place, because it would be sad to see the building vacant again, but time will tell.That aside, this place is definitely the nicest "dollar" store on West Main St, considering how many other budget stores there are, and they have name brand items for a decent price, so it's worth checking out either way!

Despite the usual ruckus, and population, they manage to keep things well stocked, clean, and professional. First time I walked in, I thought it was like a mini grocery store minus the produce and meats departments.Side note: This is an ultimate snack store.

I have never been into a Dollar General or I Dollar Tree or a Family Dollar that had lines as long as this Dollar General in Greenville it's unbelievable all the talkin the cashiers do when there's a line all the way down the aisle. They don't even call for someone to come in the front and help them on the register. All the other places call for help take them off the floor where they're stalking put him on the register until they're done and go back to work it's not hard to understand. But this manager doesn't get it she's usually outside smoking most of the time. I tried to avoid the store whenever possible. Thanks

This is a good store to get some basic food s and get out in decent time.They have a variety of each of the following: milks,butter, margarine,cheese by slices or shredded or bars,yogurts,other dairy items,bread, desserts and snacks, cereals,coffee and tea,water by single bottles and cases as well as gallons, distilled water,canned vegetables and soups, canned and packaged fruits,frozen vegetables,quick dinners,prepared foods,HBA, affordable makeup,household cleaners and laundry items,basics cleaning tools,discount toys, plastic storage items , kitchen supplies,seasonal items,candy variety,baby needs,basic clothing,towels and wash cloths,bath mats,freezer section,paper products, etc.Prices are good,staff is nice,place is clean.lf you need to get something quick or get some things for basic food and household at a good cost,you will be able to get them without being in a big store longer than you want.

Dollar General makes it so easy to run in and pick up what you need. The prices are good . With the variety of products they offer you don't need to go into a grocery store and waste time.
