Went there recently Feb 10th. Norwich Big YI told lady that works there, in the flower shop. How my flowers bouquet lasted about a good three weeks. She was helpful and nice. Man at the seafood. Was also so helpful and nice. They both smiled and were nice as can be. Thanks. Lady in bakery is the worst. Very nasty to customers. I think she is a manager in Bakery.

Been going to Big Y’s often for their freshly made subs and this location’s sandwich shop made a delicious steak and cheese for me on Friday. The person making my sandwich was so friendly and made a great sub. $10 or less on the sub always good

Always a great place for produce and fresh cut meat. A very pleasant young lady (Jamie) is always smiling and happy to help. You should feel lucky to have a younger employee with great work ethics

Love the fried fish but hate the fact that if i want 2 ealt it at the store i have to go to the front and pay for it and then walk back to get my food and sit down. We should pay for the fish at the fish market. Best meat, freshest produce and excellent bakery. Added 1 more star for the self check out and the vibe at My Big Y!!

Clean and very organize... everything you would need in one store..This is the 2nd time I have visited this store..can't say enough about it..took a few picture...I noticed that all the employees are hard workers and very friendly and seem to know everything about their store...

Moved south last year and haven't had Big Y pizza in a year. Up for a visit in middle of snowstorm, of course Big Y run for pizza. Best pizza I've had since Oct 2022!

Would give 5 stars because we do love the fish fry but were very unlucky when buying extra fries. Edit.We usually like the fish fry but the fish keep getting smaller and then they gave us charred sweet potato fries. Smelled awful.

So a while ago there was a guy playing violin in the parking lot trying to raise money for an insulin monitor for his diabetes and one of the managers here kicked him out of the parking lot. He died because he never got the monitor he needed. I just wanted to leave this review so that manager knows she helped kill this man. You're a horrible person and you don't deserve your job.

I ordered a 30in sandwich for a birthday party and it tasted really bad. Also, I ordered a balloon from the floral department. When they filled it with Helio y turned into a different color than was on the actual package. I also ordered a cake from the bakery and it was not baked well. It was uncooked. In general, expensive products and poor quality. Not happy with none of the items I ordered.

The store is awesome! But.... The website is a pain in the rear!! You pick a store then try to look up something, and it keeps coming up 'pick a store' and if u don't you can't search what u want to search . Very annoying!!

I bought some beers at this location and was charged the deposit for the cans. When I tried to return these cans at the same location, the machine did not accept the cans I had paid deposit on. The beers were Fugu and Tricerhops. I don't understand why they can charge you for deposit but not refund the deposit.

Great selection of groceries and fresh produce. However, unless it is an item on sale, it is probably less expensive elsewhere.

Occasionally has a good sale on something useful, but in general everything is more expensive than any other grocery store. Fish market is nice. Pizza used to be great but now you have to order 2-5 hours in advance just for a large cheese. They notoriously mess up the pizza also, either toppings or forgetting to pull out of the oven. Then you're stuck another 20 minutes waiting for a new pizza.*Okay, this past year I have seen improvement on the pizza accuracy and call ahead wait times. I'll bump you up a star for now.

Very clean and a place to go shopping at? They are however do not have any hand soap but plenty of hand sanitizer lol! I have gone a few more times since my last review and stand by this store as I have always enjoyed going here. I do believe they are a World Class Market!!

Way to expensive. Very poor store brand availability. ie, Market Basket store brand mini pretzels 99 cents. Big Y least expensive minis are Bachman at $4.59. Like that in every department. Terrible... Their pricing cannot be blamed entirely on inflation. It appears to be greedy gouging.

More affordable than Stop & Shop! They have multiple lanes with real humans ringing you up and bagging!! Amazing!! They do have self checkout lines if that's what you like.

Rude bakery staff ever! last week I’m pick up frozen croissants from Big Y in Groton no problem, since I’m like my bread bake fresh. Today I go pick up the same thing after we told the staff what we want, He go check on item and come back with answers that he can not sell that to me and not spend a second explaining to me why and just ignore me to a different customer after I stand there 5 minute waiting for the answer. I’m not even being rude or upset he don’t want to sell it just want to know the reason but after the way he act it’s just unexceptable!!!

I asked 2 female employees for the time as I was walking past soup area toward clearance section. Walked back same direction to see a friend and slipped on spilled soup in the same exact spot I just saw the two women chatting! Smh Usually I like this store, prepared food is great and meats are fresh as well as bakery items and produce, but this particular visit was so so....Young male cashier was very blah too...needs a customer service training session.

I had the opportunity to have my grinder made by Xavier at the grinder station. He was professional, nice to talk to, and very sanitary which is very important to me. Everything looked clean and organized. If I want a grinder I’ll definitely be going to Big Y in Norwich. Great job Xavier and thank you!!!

Says they serve hot food until 9 pm on website went at 7:30 pm on the dot on August 15th 2023 they shut down everything . Lame as hell. Why even post hours if you’re not going to follow them. Even tried to call a head of time before I went to the store and nobody answered the phones . Guess their deli employees don’t want to work

All Big Y markets are nice. The sausage or meatball stromboli is great. But I dropped my rating 2 stars because of the price of the price which I got often. The board head doesn't warrant the price for my tastes.

The lady in the deli use to be nice. Twice this week she snapped at me. I was nice,asked a question and that's all it took. She was never like that and I understand her day may have been bad but please,I have enough in my life to. Once,ok but twice? Oh well hope she finds her kindness and smile again...☃️

Dont buy meat from deli already packaged bc it's not good idk if dates are wrong but meat was bad n even though I got a refund just don't buy unless u get it sliced urself
