I cannot say enough good things about this emergency vet place. The staff is incredibly empathetic and friendly, making what is already a stressful situation much more bearable. From the moment you walk in, you feel comfortable and safe.The vet team is top-notch, displaying a wealth of knowledge and consistently recommending the best options for our furry baby. In a recent emergency, they sprang into action and saved my tiny dog's life with a full double jaw fracture reconstruction. In moments like these, having a team you can trust and rely on is absolutely crucial for both your dog's well-being and your own peace of mind.I am beyond grateful for the care and attention they provide, and I would highly recommend this emergency vet place to anyone in need of quality care for their beloved pets. My experience with MedVet was amazing, staff showed amazing care and was very quick. The front desk clerk, Denise, was very kind on the phone and she even remembered what I called for hours prior to me showing up. She was kind and professional when meeting her too. The nurse who helped my dog, Denixza, had a kind approach and helped my dog within the same hour of us getting there. It is really convenient that they are 24hrs being that it was late in the night. With no hesitation whatsoever, I will recommended this place literally to anyone who has a pet & is in need of help. 10/10 visit, experience, hospitality & 10/10 staff.

Wow where do I start.On 2/25/24 I noticed that my pup wasn’t doing so good after being on some antibiotics given by his vet for stomach issues, he still wasn’t himself. After having some trust issues with other emergency vets, I decided to do some research and check reviews to see where the place was to bring my fur baby. After reading a lot of the reviews here I decided to grab Lucas and pack him up to head to MedVet in Norwalk. From the moment me and my partner walked in with Lucas we were greeted and immediately assisted. After running a few test, we were greeted by the vet. She was amazing . She explained everything to us to a degree that we understood. Unfortunately, there was a 98% chance that Lucas had cancer in his stomach. My heart broke but we were optimistic. The vet tech that day gave us so much compassion and love. Explained all our options and prepared us for the worst. She immediately set us up for an ultrasound the next day to confirm that the diagnosis and was generous enough to help us the best way she could with cost that day for the appointment. We took Lucas home that night to give him all the love we could. We left MedVet with everything we needed for the night and all the information we needed in preparation for the next day.The next day came and again as soon as we walked through the door it was nothing but love and support. They treated my dog like the king he was treated as such at home. Sadly the news was confirmed. My baby Lucas, only 6 years old, only had about two month to live. He unfortunately had cancer and it was aggressive. That day after going through all our options we as a family decided it was time to say goodbye. I could not bare to see him suffer for a little bit more time. THE ENTIRE STAFF made us so comfortable in the last moments we had with him. From checking in on us constantly to giving us as much time we needed to even making Lucas as comfortable as possible. It was like in a day they became apart of our family.They cried with us, they showed love and compassion and they even generously did everything they could possible do to help us from financials to support.Today I received a card from the staff sending condolences and love. This is a week after I’ve already picked up Luca’s urn and yet these people found time out of their day to still make sure we felt the support.To the entire staff at MedVet in Norwalk thank you so much from the bottom of our heartsLucas to me was everything. He was my reason for many years to get up everyday. Loosing my best friend was the hardest thing I have ever done and these people just made it that much easier for me and my family l🙏God bless your heartsThe Rivera Family

MedVet in Norwalk it is our absolute first choice for all emergency and specialty care for our menagerie, which, until recently, included 3 dogs and 5 cats. The staff there has helped us with a number of issues over the past few years. Two weeks ago, we were faced with the difficult decision to euthanize one of our rescue dogs, who had a degenerative disease that we could no longer manage to keep him comfortable. From the moment I called MedVet to tell them we were on our way, we were taken care of in the most respectful and empathetic way. It made an absolutely heartbreaking task manageable and meaningful. The front desk staff was efficient and extremely helpful, the emergency nurse was smart, caring and accommodating. And the doctor was masterful with an amazing bedside manner. She was lovely and clearly cared about our dog and us ensuring the most peaceful end possible to his suffering. I had a very different experience at a local emergency vet two years ago with a beloved dog diagnosed with pancreatitis, and I wish I had known about MedVet then because it was the worst, most upsetting and chaotic vet interaction I’ve had in decades of having pets. Obviously, MedVet is dealing with constant emergencies, but somehow they are able to manage these stressful situations with purpose and calm that gives me complete confidence they are doing everything possible for their patients. This was another example of the excellent caliber of their staff, their expertise and quality of work and my spouse and I are incredibly grateful. At these critical moments, I would never take my beloved fur family members anywhere else.

Absolutely amazing staff and experience here. Dr. Tyler Clough was incredible. He basically performed a miracle surgery on our dog, Remington and bought us so much more time with him on our cancer journey. We are forever thankful. We were told the tumor on his heart was inoperable by multiple other doctors, but he managed to remove it with zero complications. Medvet is almost 2 hours from us, but we would drive here in a heartbeat over all the other emergency vets in CT. The care and compassion of every doctor, nurse and staff member is incredible and they went above and beyond any other ER vet we've been to. If and when we need an emergency vet, we will be back. Thank you for everything.

I've been twice and received excellent professional service both times. Staff behind the desk were comforting and considerate. The doctors and nurses spent ample time with me discussing treatment options and at home care. I felt that both my cat and I were well taken care of, and hope that I don't have to return, but would be comfortable knowing that I'm well taken care of should the need arise.Thank you MedVet!

From calling to make appointment the reception staff were very kind We saw Dr. Pinchbeck dermatologist. Our records from our regular vet were sent to med vet health care. With these records Dr could understand what had been done. She could create new care plan. Everything was explained to us. I knew our dog was in well educated hands. We are very pleased with med vet hospital. It is open 24-7 for emergency care and specialty doctors. Changes in our dogs care were sent to my regular vet which is very helpful. Your pet will be well cared for.

Dr Daniel Bryant came to the rescue yesterday to help my sick Golden Retriever, Winston. Dr Bryant was very thorough and fully explained the best way to treat my beloved dog symptoms.I was referred by Norwalk Veterinary Hospital and was greeted at MedVet by the friendly and knowledgeable Marcasia at the front desk. The facility is modern, clean (coffee and soda provided while you wait) and conveniently located by the Norwalk DMV. It’s open 24/7 and brings me comfort to know the caring staff are there in case of emergency.

They take care of the actual issue and not try to run up a bill for unnecessary treatment and charges, unlike other 24hr. Emergency Facilities in Norwalk. I have spent a lot of time at this hospital the past few weeks. First with my dog, Charlie who suddenly collapsed in my car. MedVet was fast to get him on the schedule to be seen. Luckily, he is okay! Then tonight I had to stop in with my other dog Dixie, who accidentally ingested a ton of dark chocolate and needed to be hospitalized. I have spoken to many compassionate staff members throughout both visits. Denise, Dr. Rucinski, Erin, Cindy, Dr Miller, and all of the other staff were fantastic! Thank you for taking such good care of my babies!!

I have a regular local vet, I am not to far from the world-class AMC, and MedVet is almost an hour away for us, but I am SO glad we found them for my girl’s surgery. I would use them again in any urgent situation.We needed to do a mass removal, and the delay at my usual locations was ridiculous. We did little research and found MedVet. A friend on Facebook confirmed a positive experience with their dog, so we went ahead.I was a wreck, as my dog is a senior and surgery is always risky, but Dr. Barron took the time to go over everything with me. Staff was kind and patient about my hand-wringing with making decisions and my intermittent weeping. I really appreciate their kindness at a stressful time.The surgery went well, and my dog is doing well. They are very responsive if you call for advice or information about post-surgery care. I will go to my local vet for maintenance, but anything mysterious will bring us to MedVet. I would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve taken my dog here twice. Once for kennel cough and most recently for a corneal ulcer. The staff is great. The most recent visit was the weekend of Christmas and we were told it would be a two hour wait. We could not go in with our dog but when he went with the vet tech he was wagging his tail which made us feel better about leaving him for two hours, knowing he wasn’t scared. If something happens to your pet I recommend Medvet for emergency because of their thoughtful care.

Had to take a friend's dog (who happens to work in another veterinary hospital but was away) here, and they saw him right away. They were very nice people and were very understanding of my situation (I was like a deer in the headlights). I was there for a few hours but that's to be expected.They kept me informed, and the owner informed and gave the dog his medications after treating him there. I can't speak for overnight or kenneling, but they were very helpful with the emergency and same day turn-around.

I had my very first experience at MedVet when we brought my cat Odin in from being severely injured after going missing for 6 days.The whole staff was welcoming, caring, and thoughtful towards our situation. Right away they took Odin in as one of their own pets. In no time Dr. Bryant checked his vitals quickly ruling out infection. In their care they completed xrays that gave way to his condition and promptly offered their best professional advise.What I love about this place in general is their staff, the vet techsstadoctors, including the front desk ppl, they all work as a team. My 14-year-old Pekingese was experiencing problems of literally falling over at times and became just out of it. I took him to my local vet who misdiagnosed him with a vertebrae issue. I searched out for a specialty hospital with decent reviews. There are only about three in a 1 hour radius from where I live in New York and Connecticut. One of the specialty hospitals in Brewster never diagnosed my sister's dog with pneumonia and literally killed him so that place was out of the question. I took him to MedVet in Norwalk. Well I can't tell you how grateful I am to have made this decision. I had never met a vet like Dr Phillip Cohen. I dropped Sammy off in the morning and Dr Cohen evaluated him and explained in great detail what he thought was the problem and what was necessary to do to get a definitive diagnosis for Sammy. He actually thought it was heart related and asked cardiologist Dana to evaluate him which she did. We all know how expensive a travel to the vet can be and Dr Cohen was very considerate of my circumstance. He called me three times during the day Sammy was there and explained in detail what was going on. I have never encountered a doctor who explained in such great detail and analyzed the situation such as Dr Cohen not even with my own doctors. If you have a problem with your animal I would definitely bring them to MedVet. They are specialized in a few different things. Sammy has a torn Cordae and we understand now how to manage him and he is doing wonderfully.

I am currently at MedVet in Norwalk Connecticut. I had an issue with my one year-old cat, who got into a serious fight, left him with a opened wound on his face, I ended up posting our social media, trying to get some feedback and one of my friends shyana💓 who actually works here at this location referred me. I came, and that’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I had a pleasure of speaking with Miss Denise in the front desk, who was an absolute pleasure, and made me feel comfortable and make sure I was OK. She made me feel so comfortable you would’ve thought she was my aunt or something Lol but The vet tech also the sweetest down to earth and easy to talk to the staff. Here is wonderful. It was very quick Their facility is very clean and must take pride and who they hire because everyone’s a pleasure I’ll be back thank you

Excellent, efficient, and compassionate service. Denise at the front desk was very helpful, getting our cat help right away. Dr. Bryant explained everything efficiently and thoroughly before and after treating our cat. He took great time and care updating us on our cat's condition and even called the next morning to follow up. When leaving, another tech came out to explain at-home procedures, etc. We left with our cat feeling 100% better after bringing her in after suddenly collapsing. All testing and results were done that same night within hours. Can't say enough good things about this MedVet service!

I first brought my dog to Medvet Norwalk at the beginning of this year after being turned away by numerous others because of staff shortages due to COVID. Brandi was diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma and was a good candidate for radiation, which is of course what we opted for. Dr. Ware was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a detailed rundown of what to expect during treatment, side effects and what the future outcomes might be. Some treatment days I had to leave Brandi overnight. I was initially nervous about leaving her, but that feeling quickly faded once it became obvious that Brandi was recognized by so many. Every time we came in for an appointment, it seemed that everyone knew and loved Brandi and always mentioned how much of a sweetheart she was. Unfortunately Brandi was rushed to the ER in RI again and two masses were found on both sides of her spleen, another type of cancer, most likely. Norwalk is two hours from us, but we took the drive because we trusted their opinion and hoped that it could have been a mistake. Sadly it wasn’t.Not only did Medvet console us after confirming the news, but I have never felt as though an office truly cared about the well-being of the owners. Lynn at the front desk made me feel so cared for and genuinely consoled each and every visit. Some of those visits were very difficult and very emotional but with everyones kind words and support I felt so much more connected and comfortable with getting Brandi the care she needed. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. For some reason, Brandi’s cards just weren’t stacked in her favor, I’ll never understand why, but I know that if they were laid out a little better we would have gotten many more years out of her.Thank you Dr. Ware and his team, the front desk and anyone else we dealt with during our journey, for everything you did to help our Brandi ❤️
