This is one of the best pet stores in North Haven. The attendant was very helpful and polite. As I was leaving, I was politely asked to grab a sample. It’s a one stop shop for pets and I highly recommend it. This store is pretty close to the road and be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. There’s also wheelchair accessible entrance and parking for the differently able.

The new manager their Crystal was so amazing and helpful! WonderfulPersonality- great with customers- she helped me find a new topper and food for my picky picky dog, who loves it! Will shop here as long as they keep having great employees

This is a small pet store with a local feel and its good for the basic cat, dog, and bunny needs. They have food, leashes, carriers and clothing. I try to support/shop local when I could vs the big online stores.It would really make my kids happy if they were able to bring back some of the live fish or small animals they used to carry in the past.

Best pet food/pet product store around. Their prices are great, and all the people who work there are extremely knowledgeable about their products. Plus, they are all super nice. They know the various ingredients in all the lines they carry, and they helped my pom a lot by recommending a different (and actually, less expensive!) brand of pet food for my dog that helped with his chronic coughing/allergy issues. Plus, they donate returns, etc. to a local shelter. Can't ask for anything more!

Great store that has lots of stuff that the larger chains don't have. We got a collar for our shepherd for $2 and walked out with 4 different samples of kibble mixers! The girl working was friendly and knowledgeable, also. Definitely would recommend.

Great, friendly neighborhood place to buy any pet item at a decent cost. Not only are they helpful every time I am there, but they remember my last name for my reward points and they always ask for my dog, Henry, by name! One of the male workers helped me switch his food to a healthier brand, by educating me on certain ingredients and a few of the staff alway ask how he is doing with it when I come in- amazes me that they remember so many details about my dog! So happy they are right down the road!

Amazing, AMAZING staff. The store is clean and organized, and the prices are very fair. I was on a search for a harness for my pup and one of the girls helped us find the perfect fit. Even gave my pup a treat! So sweet.

This place is amazing the staff is super friendly, and knowlegable, and they have a little play area for the dogs. The options of items and prices are really optimal as well. Will definitely be coming back to this store even though its 30 minutes away from where I live its woth it for the customer service they provide.

I have been going to this Choice Pet for over 7 years, and I can say for certain that they have the BEST Team in place with Jen, Chris, and Ally.In fact, I stopped going to All Pets Club and only go to Choice Pet in North Haven because of these employees and the high quality of the products they sell. They always make me feel welcome and are happy to see me when I walk in. They have great customer service skills, remembering my name, making it personal and caring. I didn't get anything but stuff are very nice!! Cost seems good for good items as outlet.I got a kitty recently and the woman who helped me were super happy about that and said Congratulations!!! for me. I'd love to visit again :)

Beautiful store (previously Pet Value 😥). I went specifically to bathe one of my dogs but also to pick up cat food. I was begrudgingly allowed to bathe my dog as we just made the cutoff but the "you need an appt to bathe your dog" and "you can't bathe them less than 2 hours before closing" rules are ridiculous. Especially since you have now started charging for baths. Give the option for reservations and then give priority to those folks if its busy. A 30 min cutoff before closing is reasonable but at least drop it to 1 hr before”. Not everyone that's bringing their dog in to bathe is planning their day around that activity. Some of us want to stop in after we have taken our dog to the beach or hiking, in which case having to schedule an appointment makes absolutely no sense.

Love this store! The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable about all their products. Their manager, Jennifer took time out of her day to help me find the exact food for my dog since he has special dietetics needs. Will only shop here from now on!

I love going here (first of all, there's hardly ever anyone else there which makes me feel safe during covid). Also, it feels good to support someone other than Petco. We get a dog food that's made in New York. A little pricey but signs with our values, so worth it. They have lots of fun extras too!

The employee Rob V is absolutely wonderful to deal with. I appreciated his ability to answer questions and show patience! Very hard to find in stores these days. His employer should be thankful to have someone like him working there!

We bought a baby, male guinea pig there on march 26th, 2017. He was not as active that we had liked but was eating, drinking and drfecating as normal. I noticed on Saturday morning, April 1st, 2017, he was unable to breathe. We tried to give him a bath to open up his airways and it only made it worse. His mouth was tinged yellow (because infection) and he was in a great deal of pain. We brought him to the vet and had to put his asleep because he had pneumonia. The store, will not reimburse us or give us store credit for losing our pet who we didn't even OWN FOR A WEEK. I am very disappointed in this store and will not be returning. After waiting for three days to talk to the manager, she explained "we can't do anything for the live animals we sell" and "I'm sorry for your loss" I am at a loss for words. We had him from 6 days and he was most likely sick at the store. People beware, they only want your money! We loved our little man greatly and miss him a ton! She also offered a discount off he one they have in store now, it is a long haired baby and didn't look very healthy. I spent over $120 dollars on him in 6 days. Please, don't buy animals there!! Go to Petco or a breeder!

I went there to look around for supplies for my animals, the store was decently clean. The girl who was working there was rude and acted like she didn't want to help us. She was very short speaking to us, wasn't friendly or happy to be there. Will not come here again.
