I purchased Club Cadet XT1. Around Thanksgiving time I had an issue where myMower wasn’t starting. I contacted this facility and told them my issue. Being the holiday season the rep stated it may be a few weeks before it would be completed. Less than a week later they contacted me and told me the mower was fully functional and ready to be picked up. To make it even better it was all covered under warranty. I would 100% come back to this facility for service!

Sales department might be good but service is trash. Couldn’t explain the repairs they did when they were done and just found out they put silicone on my leaking drain plug that never really stopped leaking instead of replace it when the machine was new and under warranty. Probably didn’t care because I didn’t buy it from them. 2 trips and both disappointing.

We have always found "the guys" to be very helpful and have taken the time to answer questions, give honest opinions about things, and explain about the equipment & options. They respect the investment made and do their best to make sure lawn equipment is running properly. We have been customers for MANY years, like the friendly service and will continue with maintenance of our equipment with them.

Above and beyond customer service. Everything including attachments were delivered to my house fully assembled. I was shown how to operate everything, how to take the plow off easily and more. Very happy with this purchase.

Awful! Absolutely not trust worthy. They did work on my lawn tractor ( replaced belt, and sharpened blades). I used it 4 times, and the belt came off, and one of the blades as well came completely off. When I called them about this, they had the nerve to act like maybe it's a coincidence that what they worked on broke again. Wanted to charge me to come pick it up, and diagnose it( I would be stuck at minimum paying for pickup and delivery again). Then off course they could have made anything up to get me paying more. Also, the person I spoke to was very sarcastic and rude. DO NOT use them! Plenty of good services out there, not them though. I would have given no stars if I wasn't forced to give at least one.

Twice I was in the shop in the past few months. Both times fantastic experience. This morning I went with a chainsaw that was flat out broken and needed repair. The gentleman at the counter asked if I could wait ten minutes and would take care of it for me immediately. Done and done, ten minutes. My plan was to drop off and accept waiting a while for repair. This was the second such experience here, and not with the same person.In addition, I had a lesson on what I was doing wrong that I had no clue about. Took notes and everything.

I purchased an Ariens snow blower from Newtown Power Equipt. in 2015. I have had no problems , I do my own maintenance and have had no need to contact the store. Today a cable broke and I am so happy that I purchased from this local small business. I went into the store with my broken cable hopeing to match it up. The gentleman at the desk asked my name, he pulled me up in the computer ( yes, I am still there 15 years later) and he just went into the back and got me my part. We had a lovely conversation, I went home and my snow blower is fixed. If I'd purchased my snow blower at a big box store I would still be walking around looking for replacment parts. The folks at Newtown Power Equiptment know how to do business!

Joe, who really a nice guy, understood the urgency despite their backlog and got the snow blower back to us in time. I have to say this is one of the best run local power equipment companies I've done business with. I've purchased a lot of equipment from them over the years both personally and for my business in town and they always take the time to go over everything thoroughly whether you are a homeowner or a professional. I'm willing to pay for high quality service like this and not go online since it's not inexpensive to operate a business in Newtown or CT in general.

I always feel comfortable and at home, walking through their doors.You get the best customer service and attention to detail, with each and every single one of their staff. They inform you of their specials, before buying something more expensive. They help you with every detail of a new purchase and full explanation of your repair.They're always swamped though, due to their enormous customer base that trusts them completely... Which means they're almost perpetually on a 2 weeks backlog of work to service your machine. But they tell you this up front, each and every time.They're ALWAYS busy, because they're ALWAYS the best!

If you need any type of power equipment, or your equipment serviced, or need to ask a question about your equipment this is the place! I've been a customer for years and most of the faces there haven't changed which means they've seen it all. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, honest and they have very fair pricing. You can buy anything from a weed trimmer to a backhoe here!

Excellent turn-around time on warranty service. My expectations were exceeded. I have been disappointed at three other local dealers in the past over the years, but never at Newtown Power.Every time I have been there I have seen professional landscapers/tree service folks picking up or buying equipment. The professionals know with whom to do business. There is a reason why their service department is so busy. Obviously, they do things right.

I tried really hard to give these guys business. I am buying a $2000 snowblower. I called three local authorized dealers. The other two offered free shipping with the purchase of a new machine. I called Newtown Power Equipment and the service manager told me it was a $70 delivery fee but was not sure, then sent me to Joe in sales, and he told me $95 to deliver. He could care less that there are competitors very close doing free delivery. I guess ill take my new purchases, and all my servicing needs elsewhere.

Always helpful people here. Reasonable prices and expertise to back it up. Is it as cheap as Home Depot? No. But you get the expertise and help buying it you dont get at the box store. They answered all my questions and gave me a how to when biying the chainsaw. John also made sure my leaf blower I purchased was the right one for the job and not more than needed.. Always treated like a "regular' even if you come in once a year.

Nothing like tracking down a snowblower at 5pm during a snow storm. These guys were super accommodating. They pointed me in the right direction to chose the best machine for my application and my budget, prepped it for use on the spot, showed me how to use/maintain it, and loaded it into my truck for me, right before close during a white out snow storm. It's nice that so many had positive experiences here, but not me. Can only say these guys are too greedy for my taste. I ordered a husky saw online and it came with a defective devomp valve. Husky warranty involves using their licensed service station to have defective products serviced. When I talked to these guys, since they are a Husky servicer, they told me I have to pay a $10 admin fee, and when I spoke to another guy it became a $50 admin fee. No one there seems to know what this fee should be, and the idea of a manufacturer warranty is foreign to them. I was told that they have to put in an hour or labor just filling out warranty paperwork for Husky, and they need to be compensated. Husky customer service told me there should be no fees of any kind for this warranty issue. I don't know how much paperwork one decompression valve requires, but I've been to car dealerships because of warrantied defects and it was a much simpler and straightforward process, without any costs for me. Instead of gaining my trust and future business, they showed their true colors. All of that for a $10 decomp valve that I am now ordering and replacing myself.I do have to add that I had bought PPE from them that didn't fit me, and was promised a call by one of their managers back in the spring. I am still to recieve that call.

Bought a Stihl chainsaw on the advice of an arborist friend. He said, "Don't waste your time or money elsewhere, just go to Newtown Power and they'll get you squared away. They know what they're talking about and stand behind their work. I've been using them for years."What he said was true. I appreciate quality, value and dealing with folks that aren't just pushing the latest deal. I got that and more. They wouldn't let me go without running through basic operating procedures and safe practices for the saw. Was also able to purchase two sets of safety chaps, helmet with face shield and hearing protection, plus stabilized premixed fuel, bar oil extra cutting chain and other accessories that are hard to find at the big box stores or hardware stores. I just found this quote on their website: "We are experts in everything we sell... because we have experience in everything we sell."
