Newtown Hardware has an impressive and wide variety of what a hometown hardware store should have. Big box stores serve a purpose, but local neighborhood stores like Newtown Hardware have an ingredient that the big stores don't. From the first step in the door to receiving the receipt from the cashier the store has helpful nice employees/staff to assist with the search, the decision and the purchase. They are a Do-it store and they do it right. Thank you Newtown Hardware.

This store has saved me multiple times from driving out farther to the big hardware stores, they carry so many items. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. I wish prices were lower across the board but there are good sales too.

Great hardware store. Local business with helpful friendly staff on the ready. Can order items through the store if not in stock. Can get propane refilled here, and get a FULL tank for less than a swap. Reminds you of what a business should be.

Couldn't find stainless lag screws anywhere and drove 40 min to get them here. Called ahead and the gentleman was kind enough to grab the 4 they had left in stock along with washers and set them aside for me. Great customer service.

Great news for Newtown as we now a great alternative for small engine repair. As a big believer in supporting local business once I found out that "young Dan" is doing small engine repair I had to try them out. I could not be happier with the outcome. Not only is he knowledgeable and friendly the result on getting my pressure washer working was fantastic. Strongly urge anyone who needs repairs to check out this new offering, you will not be disappointed

Well-stocked hardware store with helpful, attentive staff. Always willing to walk me through the store and advise me on their products, proper usage, home repair pitfalls, and generally give me the information I need to make the right purchase. They've even talked me out of some products which wouldn't meet my needs. I always go here instead of the big box stores whenever possible.

I stopped by Newtown Hardware looking for dowels. I explained to the gentleman that I am a teacher and I need the dowels cut into 6 inch pieces so each child could have their own rolling pin for play dough. The gentleman said that he is a school custodian and he understood that every student needs their own tools. He took the time to cut the dowels for me. I just want him to know, because I'm sorry I don't know his name, that he made my students very happy!! Thank you for your kindness.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but has plenty of space and a variety of merchandise. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and pricing is well worth the inconvenience of traveling to a big box store. I have been back many times and never been disappointed with their store stock.

Newtown hardware was here before the big box hardware stores and they've survive beautifully as a small town alternative for everything you need. I can go there and get everything from mason jars to house paint. Dale, special order anything if they don't have it in stock. Dan Jim and Don are great

I just wanted to say thank you to the folks at Newtown Hardware. Yesterday at 4:53 I walked in the door asking if they could cut a piece of glass for me. I'd been replacing a windowpane at home, and accidentally broken the piece of replacement glass. Joe looked at me, looked at the clock - seven minutes until closing, and said, "What size was that?" Most places would have said, "Come back tomorrow." But our hometown hardware store came thru for me again. Every employee is helpful, and friendly. We are lucky that they haven't been shut down by the big box stores nearby. Whenever possible shop at Newtown Hardware, you'll be glad you did.

Great hardware store. Has everything and then some! Prices are good... you may save a dollar or two by going to home depot but you will not get the excellent customer service and you will not be supporting local business , which is so very important!!!
