THE WORST. Petco seems to have a bad stigma throughout the US. NY is horrible now Newington. They claim my dog was behaving aggressively & was unable to complete the grooming - handed me a semi-wet dog, partially cut & tells me “no charge”. I was pissed! What’s the ORDER of grooming? Isn’t it a bath, blow out then whatever else? I WILL NEVERRRRR RECOMMEND ANY PETCO grooming to anyone neither will I return for service! They need to LEARN HOW TO handle every dog’s temperament & not easily give up! LEARN TO HAVE LOTS OF PATIENCE!! You don’t want to see any photos 😡

Sarah was fantastic. While our six month old puppy was a little difficult to deal with (wouldn't allow Sarah to trim/buff her nails), Sarah was brilliant with her! We were so happy with the service provided and our puppy, Brandy, seemed so happy with the staff as we were leaving. She almost didn't want to leave-- although that may be because of all of the treats she was given! Sarah said and did everything right. We really appreciated that she didn't force Brandy to cut her nails so that she can still trust future groomers. We'll definitely be coming back!

Brie did a great job with my Collie Max. He looks great and is very comfortable with her tableside manner! Brie is a perfectionist and makes a constant effort to have Max look his best. You are fortunate to have her at your Newington location. You can tell that she really loves her work!

The grooming department is very rude. I showed up 5 minutes late to my appointment and the groomer rolled her eyes and wouldn’t take my dog for his appointment. The manager there is amazing. He is super nice and he took the time out of his day to apologize to me for his rude staff and gave me a discount off my grooming

Our 6 month puppy is very friendly but hates getting nails trimmed. Another Petco store could only cut couple of his nails. We took him to Newington ct. Petco for the second time. Both times we had Bree take care of him. She honestly is so good and patient with our dog we will always come back here. Having pet groomers here is smart. We often end up buying items we weren't planning on. We're happy because of Bree and store makes out with unplanned purchases.

This was my first visit and from start to finish it was a great experience! Brianna was amazing with Zoey! She explained everything that she would be doing and Zoey was beautiful when I picked her up! I made a return appointment with Brianna (which I usually don't do!) as I am so happy with the results of Zoey's spa Day! Thank you Brianna!!

Extremely bad service, rude employees and the service took way too much time. The groomer cut the nails way too much when I got my puppy he was bleeding alot. Will never go and get my dog a grooming service on this location.
