We needed to get a house on the market fast and to do so, we needed a couple small carpeting jobs done quickly and affordably. Herny in Newington made this happen. He was friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient. He was a straight shooter and made no attempts to try to upsell.The job was planned within 24 hours and completed within days. We went with a cheaper carpet for affordability purposes but the selection at Galaxy was huge. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this place and Herny especially.

Great experience overall! My husband and I had wonderful customer service in store with a very easy process. Our sales rep was not pushy at all and gave us plenty of time on our own to discuss and browse. Our install was today and again very polite, quick, and easy. Love our stair runner!

Eric was very professional ..,,and schedule an appointment was very easy , they gave a reasonable arrival time, they called before arriving, and once they were here, they did a great job on our carpet installed....The team they send to my house to install the carpet were thorough and clearly took the job efficiently ... they are very hard working guys. I will definitely be using them again next time we need a new carpet installed

Eric is the best. He's consulted on a two bedroom carpet project for us in November. Galaxy was able to complete this project within 24 hours of consultation, and the second project was flexible with our schedules. We just finished our second project, a three bedrooms in our new house. Eric was transparent and consultative about color, carpet type, and timing of installation. The installer did a fantastic job and did three large rooms (second project) in 6 hours.Unlike the big box stores, Galaxy's installers are in house and can get the job done quickly.

I went to the store and picked out what I thought was the right carpet. On the morning of the installation, staff called me from store to inform me that my choice was not good for the job. I asked him to choose one for me, he gladly sent me some pics and suggestions. Words cannot express my gratitude for such act of kindness. I choose one, the installer came out that morning and did a beautiful job installing the carpenter on my stairs.Very professional and loving people at that store.

Went to look for a new stair runner carpet. No pressure sales. I was helped immediately both times I went in. I was shown what I was looking for and then left alone to think! Second time I got all my questions answered and they were even able to order the carpet I wanted in a longer size. I was so glad I asked! Ordered carpet on a Wednesday and I stalled midday by Friday! The guys that came out worked so fast and it looked so good! So glad we went to Galaxy! Dog approved!

I cannot say enough about the great experience we had at Galaxy. Jose was a huge help and very patient as a touched everything! We selected a few remnants of amazing quality. One was a beautiful wool and we had them all bound! From start to finish it took 3 days!!! Amazing!!They are starting to do renovations and we will certainly go back when we are ready to do our bathroom!!

My wife and I recently finished our basement and Galaxy was recommended by our contractor. We stopped in and met Omar, he was awesome! Had us in and out in less than 15 minutes! Carpet was selected and priced out the next day with measurements from our contractor. I shopped the pricing and couldn’t come close so 3 days later we scheduled the install. When my wife and I got home and saw the quality of work, especially the skill it took to do the stairs with the spindles already installed, we were absolutely blown away! Amazing work. Don’t waste your time with bs carpet companies or even Home Depot or Loews....go talk to Omar and he will take care of you!Look at the views here!!! Can I get a break on the rest of the house?? LolThank you guys!!!!

Galaxy Carpet has a huge selection of different size rugs. We looked and looked finally in the last section we found exactly what we were looking for. We brought it home and it looked awesome in the room. We liked the 3 day return policy or call to see if they could get more abstract bold colors.

Absolutely 💯 this place is the best! They were recommended by two separate people when I was inquiring about a carpet store. I am so glad that I used them. The process was seemless on all levels from start to end. The representative that assisted me with my selection was very knowledgeable, personally and guided me to selecting a beautiful color. Love it! I had Harris B for my representative to complete the process and he was wonderful also. His business card was provided to ensure a smooth transition which I used a few times. Harris was always pleasant when answering my questions even when I called on a Sunday after store hours. The installation was perfect! All the small details were attended to. Omar and his staff went above and beyond for me. I called them last minute because another company in which I originally ordered from kept delaying my shipment with zero communication. I was on a very tight time frame between closing on my home and needing to complete renovations. I called Galaxy Discount Carpet on a Friday in a panic needing 1,000 sq. feet. I sent over a picture of the flooring in which I was looking for and by the grace of God they had the exact style and amount that I needed. I sent my contractors to the store the following week to pick up my order. When I got home to check it was the wrong color. I called and Omar was extremely apologetic about the over sight. Within an hour he sent his guys to swap out the material no questions asked! Great service, very responsive and professional! I will absolutely be doing more business with them in the future!

This is my second time using Galaxy for carpet installation. I worked with Harris and he took care of me both times. He is very professional and I was able to get their next day installation (after measurement). The work men who installed the carpets did an amazing job. Go see Harris, he made me feel very welcomed and answered every question that I had. Was given a call the day before to give time window for arrival. I will be back again when I am ready to do my basement. Thank you all for the wonderful experience and great customer service.

We recently installed 1800 sf of new carpet on two levels of our home prior to listing for sale. I found galaxy on google; we live 50 minutes away. I dealt with Harry on the install and he was fantastic, absolutely no pressure, worked with me on carpet choices, and made two trips out to measure and do the contract. He came up with 200 or so less sf in his bid than a competitor as to waste. The install was timely and the two installers, polite, hard working, and great craftsmanship. I highly recommend Harry and this company!

Had a great experience with this place. Charlie knew so much about all of the special order options for a super soft and elegant carpet and was very professional. He came out to measure and determine the best way to install and the two installers were also very kind and did great work of the removal of old carpet, moving of very heavy furniture and perfectly placing the new carpet in two bedrooms and walk in closets. Galaxy Carpet rocks!

Galaxy did a great job of helping me with carpet replacement. They (Spencer) gave me all the help and time I needed to make my choice and did not pressure me or tie me into deals to do more rooms than I needed. The person who installed the carpet came right on time and was polite and professional. I was very happy with the job they did and will definitely go back when I need more rooms done.

We had been shopping for an indoor/outdoor carpet for the concrete slab on my 3 season porch for over a year, we had a couple of quotes from the big box stores but never followed through with them as there were too many unanswered variables. On a whim a few Saturday's ago we stopped into Galaxy in Newington. in under an hour, we walked out with a carpet choice, an appointment for installation that Thursday and the bonus was that the price was $400+ less than the other quotes we had received! The installer arrived as promised, install went smoothly and quickly and he cleaned up after himself. He did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Galaxy.

I worked with Haris to select my carpets who was wonderful to work with so kind and helpful. The guys who installed the carpets were amazing! The two stars is for Edgar, the very hard-working one-man show, installation guy they sent to my home. He was professional, polite and went out of his way to try to make up for our salesman’s (Spencer) poor customer service. I took the day off work to be there for our delivery - they cancelled at the last moment and we rescheduled for the following day. At that point my husband could not put off a work trip another day and I had to take another day off work. We were led to believe an installation “crew” would be able to install a very large area rug at our home and put a new runner on our stairs. I got no help moving furniture to allow for the removal of the old area rug and with only one delivery guy (who showed up an hour and a half later than scheduled) I had to call Galaxy at 3:30 in the afternoon to ask if the old and very heavy carpet could be removed. I had struggled to roll it up but could do no more on my own. Spencer took my call but said that removal was not their job and was there anything else I had an issue with because he was busy and had to go. So the sale was history, he’d been paid in full so he was too busy to listen to my upset. Never again Spencer - very poor way to treat a customer. Be sure you ask several times what delivery and installation means and get them to put everything in writing. Do not trust that things that should be part of the process are included.
