0 stars. First I’ll own up to my mistake of the zip code issue for shipping, however they never reached out in any way to confirm if the city I entered or the zip code was right or wrong. Ordered a rope fish on 2/5/24, received it on 2/8/24 due to the zip code issue. The heat pack was ice cold, the bag had popped & leaked water everywhere & the fish was dead. I sent an unboxing video & picture of the fish as per the request for a refund or new fish instructions. They didn’t get back to me til a day later when I prompted them again. They said they would refund, I asked for a new fish where I was willing to pay shipping again (mind you next day air was something like $54.) They agreed to send a replacement that following Monday but never did due to a snow storm, told me they would ship it that Wednesday… that came & went & no answers when I would call, text or email. Finally asked for a refund & they still didn’t answer. I ended up having to dispute the transaction with my bank & won that. Won’t be doing business with this place ever again.

I had a horrible experience with this store. I wish I could give it a zero.I’ve gotten a bunny as a gift, to have a companion after I lost my dad in 2020. After having my bunny for a couple of years, I decided to get another bunny so that he wouldn’t be alone when I went to work or school. I asked many question regarding the safety of my first bunny. I asked “would a male and female bunny be safe together?” I was told. “Yes. You only have to worry about baby bunnies.” I then asked. “Is it safe for two bunnies to be together in general? Will they fight in anyway? I have a bunny and he’s very friendly, so I want to make sure that it’s safe for them to be together.” I was told “No. bunnies are very calm animals and never are violent. This breed especially is very calm and friendly out all the breed. They are safe to be together.” I went on to ask about the vaccination for the bunnies and I was told they didn’t need one. At the end I brought the bunny. Only two months later, the bunny I brought from this store killed my bunny that I was gifted years prior. I decided to confront the owner and told him what happened and he had no care at all. His first response was. “Oh wow.” in a neutral tone. He didn’t care that I lost my companion, my best friend. He said. “So, what do you want me to do? I will not take that rabbit because I’m trying to get rid of the rabbits I have.” I then tried to ask what he thought would be right in this situation and he dismissed me completely and kicked me out of the store.These workers have no care for their animals.They are ignorant about the breeds and the over knowledge of these animals. They are simply getting animals from other people and selling those same animals without the proper knowledge, and giving their customers false information about them. I do not recommend you buy anything from them. Go to a proper pet shop, where the workers and owner know about their animals and have compassion for animals. If you decided to buy from them, I truly hope you do not go through what I did. I still haven’t recovered from the loss of my best friend.

The owner is AWESOME! I live in SC and called on the phone to inquire about a Rope fish! Danny was very helpful and shipped it on Wednesday, I received it next day in the most careful of packaging! As you can see Dobby is thriving and healthy in my black water aquarium! I’m so happy with this business I’m ordering another rope fish and pretty much most all of my aquarium needs from now on.

While I had started out with a HORRIFIC experience off of the precious owners by sending me dead fish and just completely not responding to anything and then a very kind NEW owner reached out to me to let me know the circumstances and have been more than helpful, kind and making sure the order I had been waiting on forever to be filled. I can only imagine the mess the new owners have been left with but I can say that from speaking with them on the process of getting my order finally processed, they have been more than thorough and willing to help in anyway possible. For anyone out there reading the negative reviews on this place...DO NOT hold it against the new owners. I feel pretty certain they are going to bring this place to life as it should be! I am now waiting for fish to come in the mail and my children are very anxious. Thank you so much to the new owner for all your hard work and I wish you luck in cleaning up the horrible mess prior management left you. So unfair to you.

Every animal had FILTHY water. It was disgusting. These animals count on you for care. Change their water & clean their cages. The back of the store was an absolute mess & some of the tanks had dead fish in them just poisoning the water for the other fish. Fish out the dead ones! But do better by these other animals. Poor rabbits and birds are drinking filth.

Never sent a receipt, tracking on the website doesn’t work. Terrible communication. When I called they said my Green Terror would be shipped the next day and I would get an email. The next day, nothing. I called towards the end of the day to be told it was going to be pushed to the next week. Whole operation seems sketchy, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

I found WorldWide Fish & Pets online searching for an Oscar. The service was top notch. I got the Oscar the next day with overnight shipping to Alabama. He is happy in his new home. I definitely recommend this company, I will be shopping again with them.

Horrible. Dont do order online. Dont do it. You've been warned. Paid and never received confirmation and never received item. Owner never responded. Scammed.2nd review. Funny how easy to respond to a post but yet has to respond to text's, emails and phone calls in regards to orders. Still shady until proven otherwise.

Fish arrived fast and healthy. My only complaint is not much communication from the store. Good quality fish will probably order again.This first review was well over a year ago. The old owner died and the new owners aren't anywhere near as good! Little to no communication at all.. I never received a receipt, a confirmation number, and I had to beg for a tracking number. They sold me fish that they didn't have in stock so I had to wait over a week to receive my order. Unprofessional all the way around. I will NOT order again from the new owners!!

I set this tank up and put a lot of thought into what type of fish I wanted in my aquarium. I own bichirs and my goal was to find a healthy and active African Reed Fish (aka Rope Fish). This fish came in amazing health and vibrancy despite not being a colorful fish. I called and thanked them for their prompt delivery and providing me with a fish I have dreamt of keeping and caring for. I have already placed a second order to receive another Reed Fish. I highly recommend this company and encourage you to call them as the owner is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful. 5*s all the way!

This place was horrible if I could give a 0 I would. I ordered 2 fish never received them I called the place multiple time and they never picked up the phone. I email them multiple time and they never responded. I texted them and never got a response. I was charged for the fish too. Don’t waste your time on this place.

This past year I made multiple orders online to have fish shipped from me, from the new owner of Worldwide Fish and Pets. Through most of the orders a few fish would die here and there, and the owner told me that he would refund the money. After a while I went back through my credit card statements and noticed that he was more often than not, not refunding the money back on to my card. When I added up all the fish that he owed me, it came out to around 500 dollars. I told him this and he refused to refund me the money, saying that he would only give me store credit even though most of the fish I ordered were out of stock, on top of that expecting me to pay shipping.Also, when I had asked if I needed to quarantine his fish; he had said I did not need to worry about doing that. Yet on one occasion I had fish that had come in with some kind of parasite inside of all of them and then another where they had ICK, which ended up killing the other fish in the tank.

On the one hand, I successfully got a nice piece of hardscape for my aquariumOn the other hand, I walked in and a fairly large Bully XL pitbull ran to me when I walked in, unrestrained.That is not the type of dog you just have off a leash. Luckily I'm an experienced dog owner and knew how to react but you just can't have a dog like that roaming around without some type of gate or warning on the door.Owner can't allow this to continue

I ordered Fish from store. He told me that the fish is in good shape. But when I received the fish, One of the fish Pectoral fin is 75% gone. I called the store and the person spoke was very rude asking me to chop off the fish and send him back for refund where I didn't even ask him for refund. I would definitely stay away from getting fish from this store. I even sent him the video, where he said I was trying to make something up.. He pretended that he is seeing both the fins perfectly fine in the attached video. I paid over $250+ fishes and shipping. To get a rude response. This is just not right.. Don't buy it from here..

The owner is amazing at conducting business and his customer service is his top priority.I have placed online orders, as a new customer and each time him and his team go above and beyond to insure that the fish are packaged properly, so they’ll arrive alive.Fish are very HEALTHY shipping is overnight which is awesome!The phone number provided gets you in touch with the owner directly he will answer each and every time which is very cool, any question you may have he will make sure to answer very knowledgeable.As a new customer I am defiantly satisfied and will be placing future orders.The only store online that has the specific fish I was searching forOverall I give this store, the owner, and his team a 10/10 Thank you for the fish and answering all my questions. Fish are settled in happily eating and swimming in there new home.

On Wednesday, I ordered a seemingly rare fish online for in-store pick-up. The process seemed seamless and straightforward. I traveled an hour to pick-up the Bristlenose Longfin Blue-Eyed Pleco, only to arrive and find the store closed. Moreover, it appeared "abandoned." There was no signage at all in the windows. The place was in horrible disrepair, and all of the lights out. However, I could hear birds squawking. It was very strange. I took a few pictures, thinking I was going to have to leave without the fish and dispute the charge with my credit card company. Then, a young girl arrived who was a worker there. She was very much n the defensive in every regard: it was my fault that they were not open when they said they were; it was my fault for ordering online and coming to pick-up; it was my fault that they "rarely open before 11:30. It's not very organized, but what can you do?" (her words to me). Then, she called the owner on her cell phone. Someone else answered, and she asked, "well, is Peter even up yet?" It was 11:36 AM! She told me we'd have to wait for the owner to come, and it would be 15-30 minutes. She wanted to continue to argue with me, but I was not having any part of it; so, I left to go grab a bite to eat, and then return. When I did return, the owner was just arriving with--perhaps--his business partner. At first they were a bit stand-offish. The partner and the girl worker disappeared, and the owner, Peter, began to help me with my fish. He IS very knowledgable about fish, clearly. I ended up purchasing a second one, to make a pair; and he discounted the second one significantly for my inconvenience, which was very professional, and much appreciated. The pair is very active in my large goldfish aquarium. The physical store is dirty, in disrepair, and of tenuous safety standards. Also, all of the birds are out-of-cage--basically free-range in the store. There are droppings absolutely everywhere. The ceiling is missing many tiles, and appears to have significant water damage. There are huge holes in the walls. It's just definitely not a store to visit in-person; and, I suspect few people do. The aquariums are, however, in good health (or I would never have taken home fish from there); and, they are well-maintained.

I've been to all the stores in 50 mile radius and this one has the best selection and lower prices or equal to all the stores so it's really a no brainer to go here for myself.

I am disappointed to post this, but the fish I was sent were damaged and one was DOA. I tried contacting the company but received no response from my emails. I spent about $60 on these fish, I just want a refund. I sent pictures in my emails. I am willing to redact my reviews if the issue is handled.

Great store with a good selection of birds and fish + supplies. The owners are very friendly and knowlegable and clearly care about their animals. I would absolutely recommend them. They currently have a small selection of supplies for dogs and cats but will be increasing their selection in the next year.

The owner is the worst. He will short changed you and sell you sick fish. The place is super dirty inside. The three fish that I bought from him all died within 24 hours. Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with would not shop there ever again.

I've ordered fish from this place online and they arrived healthy and was packaged quite well. I decided to go to the physical store to see what they have. The owner, Peter is very knowledgeable on fish and there were fish that the store that weren't on the online page. A few dead fish in the tanks here and there but the majority of the fish looked healthy and active. They have some nice oddballs you don't usually find. Prices are okay and I would buy from this establishment again

I purchased two fire eels from this store. When they arrived in Ohio by overnight shipping one had passed away. I contacted the store and spoke with Peter who then made it his personal task to ensure it was not only replaced, but also he made sure that the replacement went down without a hitch. He spent weeks coordinating with me to ensure even through the harsh northeast US weather to make sure we could get the replacement shipped and done in the best manner. I now have two of the best fire eels I have ever seen and the quality and demeanor of these eels incomparable to any I have ever seen. Peter truly runs a great shop and his customer service untouchable. I recommend anyone looking for anything for their tanks to come here and they will definitely not be dissatisfied. I want to thank Peter for such an amazing experience!!!!!

Warranty offered is for a day and bring in water, i called to find out, we bought a beacon pleco and we drove over an hour to his store to check it out, owner says his fish don't die and how he does online orders they don't die yet when we were in store watched him with our own eyes hand scoop dead fish out of his tanks… waste of money I recommend going else where cause its not worth the loss, we never loose plecos or any of our fish for that matter we have an entire basement of fish. Lost our business we wont be returning customers as we are to the few stores we frequently shop at for fish. Our water isn’t the problem pleco survived five days bought him on monday he died on friday. Seeing the bad reviews posted here makes sense and are clearly truthful because getting in contact with the store isn't as easy as a phone call being picked up I’ve continuously called to get an answer. Customer service could be better and needs work. If he is so confident in his fish health and “he doesn't loose fish” the warranty would be a standard seven day like most stores and not a one day warranty that itself speaks volumes and should be avoided if you don't want to loose money and take a risk with loosing fish.

I ordered 25 cardinal tetras to be shipped to Richmond Va overnight. NOBODY in Richmond had any cardinal tetras. The staff was extremely responsive on the phone and through email. They shipped my fish the same day I ordered. I lost 1 fish and transit and 2 more over the course of moving them into the new tank. (within 24 hours)They sent a few extra tetras than I ordered and a week later they are all healthy and doing great! I could not be happier with my order. I will definitely be ordering from them again. I would recommend them to anyone who wants healthy fish and great customer service ( :

This is our third time ordering from them and we are so happy every time! He handles all of his animals care and are shipped very quickly. Customer service is amazing and we have had a wonderful experience! Our spotted silver dollars are happy and healthy in their new 180 gallon to grow out in. We will of course, be ordering in the future!
