I drank a very delicious latte. I really enjoyed it, the staff were caring and sweet.I tried the healthy chocolate bar sold at the cash register. It is also very enjoyable to have it together with the book section.The only thing that disturbed me was the fact that the seating areas were separate and there were beggars coming in. They should take this into consideration!

This was such a cute place!!!! The pastries were absolutely DELICIOUS. They tasted fresh and really really good. The staff there was super nice and helpful as well! I asked for book recommendations and the lady at the cashier helped me right away. (will definitely buy those books.) Their books are also nicely organized into sections, which I also really loved, along with even a section for "staff recommendations" which I thought was a smart idea. The atmosphere was super cute and cozy. 100% recommend stopping by and having a quick pastry or food and maybe even check out some books!

I've been here quite a few times and the food has been good. My main issue has been for a place that offers oat milk beverages, they never have oatmilk😂Today? I ordered the croque madame and got charred but somehow soggy remains. Completely burnt all round, ham and cheese overcooked and the beshamel soaked through. Never again.

What a great find after visiting the art museum! Cafe and wine rack! The menu and overnight oats looked delicious, but I didn’t have a chance to try. I picked up three discount, books and a card for a friend. The crowd was very lively. Definitely a fun gem in town!

The girl behind the cashier left her shift and went one step ahead of me to the door. I had both hands full with stuffs. She didn’t even care just went straight out without holding the door. I was hit hard by the god damn door with my coffee. If you weren’t able to learn the social manner, then at least let me go first. This is beyond rude. I go here almost on a daily basis and this incident makes me decide never to spend a single dollar here again.

Good option for grab & go or quiet spot to get some work done. Very much a library vibe with laptops and sketch pads out at every table. Food was pretty good, chai was a little too sweet for me. Croque monsieur (plus eggs) was on thick sourdough with heavy amount of cheese, mushrooms, & ham. Overall I felt it could use a bit of a refresh, dirty ceiling tiles, worn furniture.

Bookstore + CafeGreat food with seating and a good selection of books! I personally really enjoyed the croissant, which I didn't ask to be toasted but it was still really fluffy. I also got a hot Chai latte. It did take a while because it looked like rush hour but it came out the right temperature. Not too sweet either!Also the Bookstore! Love the science and nature section. I spent way too long there 🤭 don't worry, I did end up buying a book.

The Chocolate Croissant was great. The Cheese Danish was superb.They are great in bakery and deserved 5 stars, until I tasted scone (apple fruit flavored). The scone was a slab of wheat flour, partially cooked. Now I am a little afraid trying out other bakery items, just to avoid experience like the scone.

Nice bookstore with a small cafe located in the first floor of the Yale British Art Gallery.Their pastries are above the average cafe, I've tried the "nest" this time and it was a nice combination and not too sweet (but definitely too big).

Purchased chia seed pudding and realized it was moldy by the time I got back to work. Unbelievably, this is the second time I’ve purchased moldy chia seed pudding from Atticus… the first was at the Orange St location about a year ago. I called to let them know and request a refund. They were unable to find my purchase, even though it had only been about 30 minutes, and apparently could not look it up using my credit card number. I was told they would do more research and call me back but was never contacted. Gross and frustrating waste of $8.

Excellent sandwiches. Staff not the friendliest. It would be nice to be treated a bit more kindly.The Bookstore side is fun-but a bit smaller than I remember. The staff on that side was nice and helpful.

So, I'm giving it 3 stars, but it's definitely not for the food and drinks. I'm rating it low due to the overall experience and the negativity I feel when visiting this place.Now, in more detail:The first time, I ordered sandwiches, a drink, and dessert for $50. I consider this a high price for such a place. I simply asked to have my sandwich heated. In response, I heard a rude reply: "We're too busy, we can't heat sandwiches." Wow, that was so unpleasant. I haven't encountered such a response in the food industry for a long time. After that, I went there two more times, and each time at the cash register, I was met with serious faces and never a single smile. It's strange, it's off-putting. I love the food at this place, but I don't understand why they aren't more welcoming to customers.

I got aa Caprese sandwich that was really delicious, as well as a Lavender Iced Latte. The coffee in itself was good but I would not have known it was lavender as I didnt taste anyIt was pretty busy and had to wait a while to find a seat but otherwise a very good spot to grab a cup and a bite!

DO NOT BOTHER. Wow. What a disappointment. The cashier was not kind or friendly. The food was flavorless. The entire experience was wholeheartedly disappointing. It’s a business. Greet your customers! Be kind. Be friendly. I wanted to enjoy this experience so much and soup to nuts it was just awful. Don’t bother going here. Supporting local businesses is so very important but this is one business that should just close up so that another business can move in. One that actually wants to make customers feel welcome.Addendum: I wish I would have read the negative reviews first. Every. Single. One. Has the same complaint. Rude staff. Flavorless food. Do the owners even care? How many of the same bad reviews does this place need to have before something is done. What a waste of time and money.

I was there for commencement weekend. I usually get an Americana but tried the lavender latte they were offering. It was delicious. I also ordered the Morning Bun. The morning bun and coffee were so good that I had that for breakfast three days in a row. The staff, while facing huge lines, moved everybody through the line with swiftness and were quite pleasant. My only regret is that i didn't bring 6 morning buns back home with me.

This was my first time back in about 10-15 years or so. Intrigued by the offering of a french toast latte that i saw online, i had to get it and the drink did not disappoint! I can’t wait until general indoor dining is safe again so i can spend some time here with a coffee and a book.My favorite food from last time i was here was the giant lemon poppy muffins - do you still have those?
