I went to Purr-Fect Pooch without an appointment on Monday morning for an emergency embedded dew claw. Warren immediately clipped all of my dogs nails and allowed me to return with my other dog to have his nails done. It was quick and painless with no trauma. I brought Mikey back a few days later for a bath and he didn't hesitate to walk right through the door and go to Warren. I am very relieved to have found the Purr-Fect Pooch. Thanks again.

We had to take him to the vet after his nail trimming appt. First, they started shaving him without asking me or even giving a heads up, even though it was just a nail trimming appointment and I clarified that. Now his belly/genitals are red and have nicks from her haphazard shaving.She also nicked a few of his nails, one which wouldn’t stop bleeding. She apologized and pressed powder into it to stop the bleeding, and assured me it was safe. We made sure to keep him from licking his paws but he’s still had diarrhea and has been throwing up constantly since the appointment. She also said it doesn’t hurt the dog when she carelessly trims their nails until they bleed. Very unprofessional, never taking my dog here ever again.

I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. I had previously gone here without a problem. I had an appt for 10 am confirmed. I get there and she stated that she was closing and had called me. Never did I receive a call and the number she had called was a random number. The business hours are a complete mess and she made it seem as if I was wrong for arriving at my scheduled time. I won’t be going here again and I am completely disappointed in their customer service. Lastly, she asked me annoyed if I could only do Saturdays and never once apologized for the confusion. This appt. was hard to get to begin with.

DON’T BRING YOUR DOG HERE! Real story! Ordinarily I left my 5lb Yorkshire Terrier here for a grooming. I picked him up at 1:30pm today and while picking him up the folks engaged me in a conversation while I put on his harness on. For the first time he had a bow tie on intended to keep my attention away from him his neck. We got home, we took a quick walk and then entered the house. At some point my dog jumped up onto the couch and I removed the bow tie and then I saw he had a large cut on his neck not easily visible under his chin which is why I hadn’t seen it when I picked him up. It was an inch long and a quarter inch wide. See the picture attached. It could only have come from the groomers at Purr-Fect Pooch. I took him to the New Fairfield animal hospital where they cleaned the wound and glued it shut. I’m disgusted with this establishment. At Purr-Fect Pooch, they clearly should be out of business. They didn’t tell me he was hurt when I picked him up….look at the picture attached, it would be hard not to know you hurt him when it’s this clearly visible. New Fairfield Animal Hospital is now in on this and have pictures as well. When picking him up at Purr-fetch Pooch they engaged me in conversation to ensure I was focused elsewhere and didn’t see this at first. Don’t bring your dog here. Not only do they hire bad groomers but they don’t have the decency to tell you of a problem. This is a business of liars. Thankfully New Fairfield Animal Hospital treated him and both of us have photos of the treatment he received at this business. I love my buddy, treat him like my child, so I can’t believe this business’ terrible treatment of a pet in their care. Good luck if you trust this business!

This is a family owned dog grooming business in a small town that has been in business for over 20 years. This business serves small dogs, cats and occasionally large dogs and accepts walk in business for nail clippings for cats and dogs. Pricing for services is excellent and reasonable.

They are amazing! They will go above and beyond to meet your needs to make sure your animals are cared for. My dog absolutely loves the chicken treats and can't get enough of them. Highly recommend Purr-Fect Pooch. They even delivered treats to my home when I was unable to get out. The BEST!!

I have taken my Bernese Mountain Dog there for years and they always do a good job. The price has not been outrageous as some of these pet salons charge. I will admit the price does vary but Its my fault for not asking. But the dogs seem to really like the staff and they have always been helpful with questions or problems. They also sell great chicken treats which they dry themselves. I give them a two thumbs up

I have been to several groomers in the area and had to deal with cuts, pink eye and kennel cough. I have had no issues whatsoever with Purr-Fect Pooch. My Golden Doodle gets excited when we pull up to this place. The staff is great. The owner is an angel and you can see she loves her job. I highly recommend Purr-Fect Pooch.

I took my dog there several times. I complained numerous times that my dog did not come back clean. She did not feel clean, just oily like I brought here in. She did not smell fresh or like any shampoo had been used at all. I gave them 3 warnings that I was not happy and still they continued to take my dog and charge me but not washing my dog. I will never go there again.
