I can’t say enough good things about the people over at Life Aquatic. I get all my livestock and water for my reef tank there. The employees are friendly, very knowledgeable, and have been extremely helpful resources for my hobby. If they don’t have what you are looking for in store, they will order it for you.

Came in the store to browse…and so glad I did. Randy was so friendly, approachable andwalk around to show and teach about all the magnificent fish in his shop.Left there feeling empowered and confident about what was achieved so far with the starter tank. Purchased a small (2nd) tank and excited to come back soon to bring home a sweet puffer.He set up the tank and thoughtfully explained the process.His prices are beyond fair and you just know he cares! Wonderful experience and so glad to find him!

I don’t even know where to begin, this is the best shop ever! I have been going here for a couple of months now, I love animals especially fish, this is the place for it every one there is so incredible and awncers all my questions with a bunch of knowledge. The owner is spectacular and helps with my fish tanks, even though I am a young fish owner! I will continue to get my fish, as well as all my sea creatures equipment from here!

My husband and I stopped at the shop to explore the idea of getting a tank. Randy was so knowledgeable and so patient in answering all of our questions in regards to getting a salt tank vs a fresh water tank and also teaching us about some of the various fish we were looking into purchasing. We ended up leaving the store with our first salt water tank! Since then I have reached out to Randy with any questions and he’s always gotten back to me and even answering my early morning call while we’re were concerned about one of our fish which turned out he was just fine!

It was always my dream to have an fish tank in my office! Working with Randy was wonderful, he helped me pick a perfect tank size for my budget! It wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be. Some people think freshwater tanks are boring, but what Randy put together for me really is a little ecosystem of fish, shrimp, snails and some really great plants; not the least bit boring! Mike is the gentleman who comes to do my tank maintenance, and he is knowledgeable, friendly and full of interesting facts about marine life!

Great service. Their membership plan is very good and provides great discounts. Livestock is good quality. I do find their selection is limited but the place is nice and has a decent selection of equipment.I don't know how to reply to the owner's comment so I'm adding it here: First, love you guys. The comment about limited selection is wonky. The aesthetics in your store are great and makes it a pleasure to visit and hang around. But it takes away from the amount of livestock you can store. Pros and Cons I guess. I always go to your place first but often find you are low on livestock and end up having to come back a few times or go elsewhere to find what I want. Raising to 5 stars by the way because I do think your the best in the area. The "selection is limited" is constructive criticism.

At the sidewalk sale, I won a fish at the game they had set up. I came back later to claim it, and they were super helpful. They told me how I needed to take care of it, answered my questions about raising it, and overall was a pleasant experience. My fish is set up now, but only thanks to their impeccable customer service.

Great little place , nice selection of products . Picked up a few nice coral and some dry goods . Spoke with the owner randy for a while he’s super friendly and knowledgeable. I think it would be a great place to go if your just getting into the hobby and it’s a great place if your an experienced aquarium keeper . They have two amazing 300 gallon display tanks that I could stare at for hours .

What a great experience I just had at Life Aquatic. I've been wanting to start a planted aquarium for quite some time. I went to one other store and they were rather cold so I left. When I went to Life Aquatic, I was immediately greeted and asked if I wanted assistance. The store is spacious, beautiful, and filled with amazing variety. Randy, the owner was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He did not oversell me, which I greatly appreciated. I wanted something small and he cheerfully obliged without hesitation. He made thoughtful recommendations. Randy literally set up the entire aquarium (only 2.5 gal) while I was there complete with tank, rocks, plants, a snail and shrimp so when I went home, all I had to do was add more water plug it all in. It sits proudly on my counter and all the shrimp and snail survived. I believe Randy will be the one I turn to from now on for advice and my aquarium needs. His good service made my entry into this new hobby a joyful one. Many thanks to Randy and Life Aquatic.

Awesome shop! Just went in to check out this reefing store that is closer to us. Had a great experience there. The owner Randy was an absolute delight to work with. He answer all my questions about issues I had with my 10 gallon tank and some potential pests that I had not yet identified. I had been wanting to get a green star polyp for some time now, and he was extremely helpful with fragging a portion that I wanted to purchase. They have a great variety of LPS and leathers which is what I am most interested in. I am happy to have met Randy and am looking forward to going back again soon to add to my coral collection! Thank you for such great customer service. I will be referring all of my local reefing friends :)

We were driving to fish stores all across CT today looking for fish and corals- knowing what’s going on with Hawaii and the lack of import of yellow tangs, we did our best to seek one out. This was our first time stopping in Life Aquatic and it was due to the fact that they did have 2 yellow tangs available. As some may know, the cost of them has risen dramatically and some stores are looking to price gouge consumers- but Randy did no such thing and gave us a phenomenal deal based on what he had paid for them, not at all looking to take advantage of the current demand for these beautiful fish. Randy was super friendly and helpful, and spent at least 30 minutes trying to catch the one specific tang we wanted in his beautiful reef; even at the cost of dissembling a beautiful show tank. We couldn’t be happier and thank him and the shop very much. We will definitely make our way back there!

Randy was very nice and patient, taking time to explain various details of marine and reef aquariums to me and my wife when we visited the other day; his advice was spot-on with current research I've been looking over. The prices were a bit on the higher side but still fair when taken into consideration his location and his target clients. I also wished his selection was a bit more diverse. The new location looks good and if servicing your tank or maintenance is your deal, then he's definitely your guy. I liked that he didn't simply push us to go for higher priced options. He gave us his opinions and it seemed honest and straightforward. I can appreciate that after visiting most stores in Fairfield county and even NYC stores.

Randy has provided lots of advice and recommendations on how to maintain our 10 gallon tank. He also saved the day and let us board our two clown fish at no charge with him for several days when we lost our electricity due to the recent storm resulting from Hurricane Isaias.
