Great local pet store. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I shop for my dog here. But you can also get cat and fish supplies. Also carry bird houses and such. In addition they have statues, herb and flower plants. Curbside pickup is also an option. I highly recommend stopping here for all your pet needs !

We stopped in while we were in the area. The store had a great selection and relatively good prices for an independent pet store. The woman who worked there that day (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) was very pleasant and knowledgeable and obviously enjoyed her work and enjoyed pets of many kinds. She was genuinely interested in hearing about our puppy and made some great recommendations.

The only place to go for pet supplies! John and Genna know their stuff and they stand behind everything they sell. They put in the hard work of researching brands and products so that you don’t have to. While you shop you can pet a sweet kitty and visit with Peaches the bird. It’s always a 10/10 experience!

I recently visited Mystic Pet Shop twice after a family friendly highly recommended them, and they are AWESOME. Super sweet, friendly, down-to-earth, and, above all else, knowledgable. My little pup is a picky eater, so we talked about what I am doing right AND wrong, the types of food he should be eating, the quantity of food he should be eating, and how to overcome the picky eating. I left the store with a bunch of samples and I am ready to get my dog on the right path! I highly recommend you all visit as well! I will make this my permanent shopping spot for my little guy! FYI- He loves the place, too!

No idea why you would shop anywhere else if you live in the Mystic area -- Genevieve and John are two of the most wonderful people I've met. I always look forward to stopping in and catching up with them. They care so deeply about their customers (human and four-legged). They carry an amazing selection of food and treats, as well as toys, frozen bones, goats milk, etc. Genevieve is so knowledgeable about pet nutrition, and I feel good knowing that anything I buy here is going to be healthy for my pets. This is a fantastic small business that I'm so happy to be able to patronize. They go above and beyond for their community! I can’t say enough positive things about the Mystic Pet Shop, but I’ll try. Jen and John carry the best quality and healthful products around. If they carry the product, they know all about it and are super happy to talk to you about it. That’s so important when it comes to pet food. They also carry great toys and healthy fun treats. Their selection is pretty big and my dogs are very happy. Of course, they are cat, fish, bird, “others” friendly too. Plus... they’re prices are excellent and they’re really nice people who support their community!

I have been using the Mystic Pet Shop for a very long time. It is the best pet store I have ever used. The owners and all employees make you feel like you are part of their family. They monitor everything they sell to make sure you are getting the best products that are made. My dog has a very shiny coat at 7 and everyone thinks she is a puppy because she is healthy. That is because Genna has made sure she is on the healthiest food and supplements available. The Mystic pet shop and my vet help me make the most important decisions in my dogs care. I love this place! They make thoughtful suggestions for dog food and treats, as well as nutrition additions for older dogs while also carrying things for my guinea pigs. To top it all off they have a great potting soil from a local farm that is amazing and my favorite type of marigolds. I love their level of customer service so this is my favorite go to for pet food!

How many wonderful things can I say about the Mystic Pet Shop? How much time do you have? My family, fur baby included, consider the shop owners, John and Genevieve, as part of our family. They care about our dog's health and well being, and have patiently answered countless questions from us about the diet that is best suited for our picky boy. They carry only the very best food and supplies for all of your critters (backyard birds, too!), and will never steer you wrong in order to make a quick buck. Gen and John are wonderful and they truly take care of my family. I LOVE how knowledgeable Gen is regarding her products and the vast array of diets she carries. They are very responsive to social media inquires which is super convenient for me when I'm looking to buy something particular for my dogs. She always knows the latest news regarding recalls/company changes and really wants to educate if that's what you're looking for. I cannot say enough good things about this locally owned business. Gen and John sell only the best, highest quality, safest American-made pet products. With the pandemic, they set up a curbside pickup system so we could all continue to take care of our fur babies, and since reopening, they have created such a safe in-store system. They still do curbside for their elderly and immune-sensitive customers. And they support and give back to the community whenever they can. Love them!!!

This is the place for pet supplies! The staff are well versed in the premium products and know the ingredients in the pet food they stock. They have an amazing selection, and are always there to help. Ever wander around the "big box" pet stores looking for help, only to find a someone who can't find what you're looking for? NOT HERE. I wasn't aware of this pet shop, but a fiend recommended them to me and my first experience was terrific.There is nothing like being known by your name, getting quality pet food at fair prices from expert people in our community.

Great inventory of high quality products for your pets and the owners are extremely knowledgeable about what they sell and can help you if have fussy eaters. This is by far the best pet store around! I have shopped the whole shoreline over the years and found this awesome shop when we moved back to Mystic and we are so glad!!!. The staff are amazing, prices are very competitive and everyone is knowledgable. Unlike big box stores.....boo! We love stopping in and always learn something from the staff. And the plus is that they carry beautiful plants and garden items. Also fresh local flowers during the week. Even if you don't have a pet, stop by and see the plants!

The owners and staff are more than knowledgeable and caring. They are extremely compassionate about what they do and it shows because there is a wide variety of foods and products for your furry family member. I will not buy dog food from the big chain companies (Purina, pedigree, etc) and Mystic pet shop always has something from a small family-owned business that my dog loves. Their knowledge in different animal foods and products is second to none and they only want to help you get what's best for you and your four-legged friend.I strongly recommend shopping here versus any of the big chain stores.
