I don't think that I've ever reviewed a "package" store before but this place is so much more! I had heard about it for awhile so I popped in when I was in Morris and was glad that I did!The Wise Old Dog is the Rolls Royce of all packies! Everything was impressive from the decor and layout of the building to the amazing variety of liquors. You want a Coors Light? They got you covered. What about a nice cab? Done. You also want a $300 bottle of Scotch brewed from the tears of the Loch Ness Monster herself? No problem.They had a complimentary wine tasting going on when I was there as well! What a great business to have in Morris!

Very knowledgeable staff and good selection. Specifically Wine and hard liquor, whiskeys. Local, craft and exceptional foreign brands. The man with the mustache is very kind and knowledgeable about wine and whiskeys. Sorry I don't remember his name. Closes at 8 everyday except Sunday which is 5. They also do wine tasting every Friday afternoon 4 to 6 I think .... Correct me if I'm wrong. Great selection of Rose for the summer, domestic and foreign!

Oh my, what a delightful transformation! Jacob and his team treat customers (even new ones) like old friends. Greeted with a friendly welcome and glass for tasting! The wine collection is focused on quality and affordability! Tremendous variety many unusual labels. Oh, and then there is the spirit rooms! Wide selection from affordable to pricey! Can't wait for our next visit to the area!

This is the best liquor store I have ever been to. Upon walking in you’re warmly greeted with a tasting of wine. The employees are beyond friendly and helpful, you can tell customer service is their thing. They have an amazing selection of wines and bourbon. I wish every store was like this place.

Biggest selection of wines I've seen from a liquor store. Not so much of a selection for everything else. But it had what we needed and was definitely the nicest one I've been to. Very quiet and clean.

The best wine shop in Hartford county is now also the best wine shop in Litchfield county! I've been going to WOD in West Hartford for years and I was so thrilled when I heard their plans to open a 2nd location in Morris CT. They have completely renovated a 2-story farmhouse (formerly a package store). The first floor is home to carefully selected wines and a temperature controlled fine wine room, plus a gigantic fridge for craft beers. the second floor is home to fine spirits and a lovely space for classes and events. Jacob and his team are incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about wine and spirits, but most importantly, they know how to treat their customers and cater to individual tastes. I'm so thrilled WOD is now closer to home, but my wallet might not be (ha ha :D).
