Have been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience. It was very busy tonight and this poor waitress was spread THIN. Unfortunately the waitress was too busy to notice the full plate of food i left in front of me while my son ate his pizza that we waited over 40 minutes for. His food was great, and the salad bar is always wonderful. I ordered 3 stuffed shrimp with rice pilaf. They were tough and way over done. And for some strange reason they didn't peel the shrimp, like at all. To make matters worse the stuffing had almond slices in it so even after i picked the stuffing off, i chewed guessing whether i was crunching on shrimp peels… i did not bring it up because i didn't want to wait another 40 minutes for dinner. Ive been up since 330 and worked 10 hours, all I wanted was a nice dinner with my son. I am exhausted and the last thing I wanted today was to have to hunt down the waitress to complain about the food. I left the restaurant hungry and disappointed.

Waited over 30 minutes for our orders to be taken. Then a waitress from another area took our order. Then we waited over an hour to receive our food. We were told they were behind due to 2 parties but we were not told about the parties when we made our reservations. We were hoping to miss the Mother's day rush by going out a week earlier but that was a mistake. The food was good but our mood at that point was so ruined that it ruined the food. We were seated at 3:50, our order was taken at 4:30, and we received our food at 5:30 after having to ask why our food was not out yet. Our waitress kindly gave us a free dessert but it did not make up for the long wait and disrespect of the rest of the staff. Thank you to the waitress that took care of us even though we weren't seated in her area but this restaurant needs to work on their customer service.

Food was great but we made a reservation & was shoved into a corner then forgotten until we walked up to the host station and reminded them we existed. We watches multiple tables be sat & served before our sever saw us. We watch the table next to us clean , seated then served before we saw our "server " she kept changing so I didn't know we was who 🤷🏻‍♂️ they lack team work & communication so the customer suffered but at least the food was great. We go out to enjoy our self and relax but it was nothing but being apprehensive aggravated and annoyed that we were ignored and forgotten and neglected

Decided to get a jump on Mother's day to beat the crowd. Made a reservation for 4:00, was early 10 minutes and seated. Waited almost 45 minutes with no service. Had to notify wait staff. After about another 10 minutes a waitress finally came over and took our drink and food order. Ate our plate from the salad bar. We were done with our plates from the salad bar and waited until after 5:30 for our food to get to our table. The table behind us who came in after us, got their food before us. I had to go up a 2nd time to figure out why we weren't being served. The bartender was the only one available to speak to. She tried to put blame on the fact that there were 2 large parties. The place was quiet when we were seated at 4. By the time I got to go to the salad bar it was crowded from the parties and my experience was already soured. After over an hour and a half and having to inform the staff of the situation I was told there was nothing they could do until I said I was going to post a review. Then they wanted to know what they could do to better our experience. I was not looking for a free meal, which we did not get, just a nice dinner and time with family for an early mother's day. It was my choice to go there. We were comped 1 free dessert which the waitress gave us because she felt bad so kudos to her and happy mother's day to me.

We made a reservation and arrived 10 minutes early and was seated immediately. Then proceeded to be completely ignored for the first 30 minutes. Watching others who were seated after us have thier orders taken. Ths issue continued until someone from our group went up to the hostess to inform them of our dilemma. The hostess came over and took our order and we now could go up to enjoy the salad bar. ( The main reason we go to Riverview). We finished our salads and waited over an hour. No food yet. Went up and asked to speek to the manager and was told that there is no manager and should have brought it to thier attention sooner. They were informed we did and this was a second attempt to resolve thier answer was "We have 2 big parties to take care of and there was nothing that they could do". People who were seated 45 min after us received thier food, ate, asked for thier bill all before we even was served our meal.When we were finally served we could not enjoy it due to the fact of being ignored thru out the ordeal and without a decent reply. Going out to eat isn't just for good food it is equally important for you to get good service so you can enjoy the experience. It's not cheep.

We recently started coming back to Riverview and we have had very good food & great service. We came for my oldest grandchild birthday dinner with a party of 7. The salad bar was kept very clean and well stocked. Our meals were very good and the prices are reasonable especially for a large party. 3 of us had the stuffed chicken breast (one of my favorites) one had a blt club and another had fried clam strip dinner. Im adding a photo of prime rib that I had at my previous visit and it was delicious. We will be back.

Hubby and I have eaten here on and off for 37 years. It has gone up and down through the years. In 1990 we loved it enough to have our Rehearsal Dinner here and it was amazing for 30 plus of us. I will say, it has never been terrible.  It has always been good enough to eat. No matter what. I give kudos for that, as we have had meals at other restaurants over the years that we would NOT eat. (Although, there was one incident here in the 80's when hubby asked me what was wrong with his Cole slaw. I tasted a small bite and knew the Mayo was off. We told our waitress and she said we were the third people to say that that night, lol. Wait! What!!! But, we didn't die.) Anyway, this review is for a recent visit after a few years away. First, the Salad bar was really good. Everything was fresh and cold. Not sure what the soup was. It wasn't posted anywhere. I could have asked, but took a small cup. It was ok. Still not sure what it was...Beef and lentils, maybe. I ordered the 4 piece fried chicken. I received a plate with 5 pieces. Hubby said I got a bonus, lol, but Did I??? Normally 4 piece chicken is a wing, drumstick, thigh and breast. I really only like the breast and wing. Not a huge fan of dark meat, but I will eat them. My 5 pieces included a wing, drumstick, 2 thighs and a back. I'm sorry, but to receive a back, which should be thrown away as there is 0 meat on it, is insulting.  If you do not have what a customer orders, please tell the customer so they can choose a different option.  I sure would have. Maybe my fault because I didn't ask if 4 pieces included a breast. It has for 40 years, so I assumed, my bad. I will ask next time, as it has always been my favorite meal. Hubby got Black Dragon Steak and enjoyed it. Will we return? Definitely, Yes!

I have been going to- eating at Riverview for 35+ years & have not been disappointed once!!! My personal favorites are the salad bar and soup tureen (all you can eat $10.95) for lunch & the Delmonico steak or Prime Rib or Fish & Chips (super fresh huge fish) for dinners. ALL of the food choices are excellent though & portions are very large! You more than likely have leftovers! All of the main entrees include the salad bar and soup as well which is fabulous & a guarentee to have leftovers the next day! Lol.. The prices are EXCELLENT as well! Example- My husband and I went for lunch last week (12/1/23). I ofc had the all u can eat soup and salad bar, my husband had the fish filet sandwich w/ ff & the salad bar w soup. Drinks- a can of sprite (my cheat drink when we go out lol) and 2 bottles of Budweiser our bill was $29!!! Highly recommend checking Riverview Restaurant out, you won't be disappointed! 😋 YummyOh and they do have take out which is also A++ EXCELLENT all around!

Had dinner with friends here and then later the same week, had dinner with family. Both times the food was very good. Had a pretty well stocked saladbar. The service was sufficient, like most places they seemed a bit understaffed. The servers were hardworking and proficient but a bit overwhelmed. The atmosphere was a throwback! Felt like we went right back to the 70's & 80's. There is a difference between "throwback" and "dated" and this felt to me like a throwback and I kind of appreciated that vibe. Our crew enjoyed ourselves!

The food was delicious, the people in the kitchen were super nice but unfortunately the woman at the counter who took our order wasn't even trying to hide she was aggravated about having customers. We asked for a minute to look at the menu and she completely walked away and didn't come back. My spouse and I were actually about to leave but one of the cooks told her to go to the counter and she came back looking very annoyed again... just a smile goes a long way.. her voice wasn't too friendly either. Again food was delicious though.

This is our go to restaurant . They have an AWESOME salad/Soup bar with fresh baked bread. I ALWAYS order the prime rib and my hubby usually always gets the chicken parm dinner. We are usually so full after eating our soup and salad that we end up bring our dinner ( or most of it) home for the next day. It's located about 35 40 minutes from our house but it's SSSOOOO worth the ride! You WONT be disappointed!Parking: 2 big parking lotsKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair/walker accessible. No stairs or steps.

My family has been going out to eat on Christmas Eve for over 10 years. Ever since my Dad passed away. Very good food, good prices, love the salad bar and all the offerings. Good selections on the menu,as well as the specials. The Prime Rib has always been my favorite, I I’ve had the the baked stuffed fish the past few times and have enjoyed that as well. This year the waitress asked if I wanted lobster sauce on top and I said “sure” and I was glad I did as it was very tasty. If you are in the area and find yourself hungry, drop in for a bite. You’ll be glad you did.

A lot of choice from meat to seafood, with some uncommon plates such as those stuffed shrimp. Stuffed with a homemzde crumble with seeds, those are great with the buffet of vegetables.Cosy and rustic atmosphere
