This is the best stop and shop in southeastern Connecticut by far! Not too big and not too small. Great selection of food and amazing deals. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to make your shopping experience better. This stop and shop also features a Starbucks (with amazing staff), a florist, bakery, and seafood section.

Produce at this store in Montville is horrible. Always bear shelves or crappy fruit and veggies. Got moldy strawberries tgere 2 days ago and I checked the pkg. Went to eat tgem 2 days later all full of mold. Took them back. Not fresh produce at this store. Worst stop and shop I have ever been to

It's not the worst Stop and Shop, nor is it the best. Prices are through the roof everywhere just about but it's cheaper to get eggs and produce at Walmart or Target right now if you can. Produce has also been absolutely trash lately. Half the lettuce for double the price... Great deals Stop and Shop. Just blame it on inflation...

Always clean and always presentable. The staff are always polite and expedient in their duties. The only thing I can say is that the Starbucks needs an extra employee in the morning. The morning staff are fantastic and move as fast as they can for the customers in line but observing this everyday it causes undo stress on the employee. They smile through it, but it’s there. Outside of that, excellent store and I’m very happy they’re a part of our community.

Honestly Stop & Shop has gone down hill over the last three years. The quality of their goods just sucks now. I used to be a loyal customer and I stopped going because quality of all the meats and fish is aweful. Everytime they would start to carry something good and get people hooked, it would be gone in a couple weeks. To me Stop & Shop rates just a hair above Walmart. I'd rather spend my hard earned money on something of quality. Sorry, is what it is.

One step above a state run socialist grocery store. Maybe because it doesn't turn over enough product there is no improvement in product availability. How about bringing the deli back to pre covid levels. Probably the worst run stop and shop I've ever been in. At least it is clean.

They don't carry anything I use, they never have any decent deals. The self checkout is really horrible. The employee has to reset the self checkout machine. Shop Rite is much better in my opinion. It's sad because Stop and Shop is much closer than Shop Rite.

Usually the check out is rather quick. Cashier's are mostly pleasant however I do all my own bagging and I'm disabled, older and that rates as poor service. Doesn't seem right to have to do it all, so I will start using the pick up service.

Your staff needs to be more attentive to the needs of the customer. I waited almost 10 minutes in self checkout for someone to come and do a gift card. The one that was supposed to be taking care of self checkout was running around filling online orders. The manager noticed that I was still waiting, and came to check me out. Which took less than two minutes. Everyone's time is important. I appreciate all that your employees do. Thank you

Staff in the produce department were loudly and offensively talking about my appearance. Women beware the produce staff are not afraid to talk about your body where you can hear them.

Clean store. Only needed a few items. Shelves well stocked with good variety. Prices comparable with other grocery stores. Friendly employees. Go early after shelves are replenished, but before the rest of the community arrives. 7:00am is best.

There prices are always so high, and they still don"t have an organized system for Covid. I don't enjoy shopping here, hut when I do go I'm always hoping for a better experience. They also continue to have more self service check outs open then carousel. Not cool. Some of the cashiers are nice

Clean store, easy to find items with locator cards at the end of each aisle. Plenty of self-checkout stations.

We were visiting from Pittsburgh, PA. My family all wanted lobster. I called and spoke with the gentleman in the seafood department. My Aunt informed me that they also cook the lobsters for you!!! We ordered 11 of them. They ended up sitting in the steam bags for almost 2 hours by the time we all say down to eat. I was worried that they would be cold! They were not only still hot, they were the best lobster I ever ate! They were perfect! The young man that was working in your seafood department on August 6th did an excellent job! He's a keeper! Give that young man a raise!!!

This is one of the better Stop and Shops in the state. It is always clean, the employees are usually pleasant, and its always well stocked. I've been told that the prices at this particular Stop and Shop are relatively lower than others in the state, and I've verified it's true regarding both the Colchester and Waterford stores at least.

Love the Montville stop and shop sooooo much better then the flagship s+s in norwich. Staff there are so nice and friendly they don't make you feel like it's your fault they have to work. The displays are great and they make me feel very comfortable at checkout it's stressful times rite now but i feel less stressed there. thanks Montville ct. Stop and Shop

Only 2 cashiers....and they should come up with a system that allows only people that are actually capable of self check out.....it was great in the beginning but now it's a real " SHOW " that I'm 100 percent positive that I'm not alone in saying... " I don't enjoy or want to watch . " I'd rather just leave everything I intended to buy there and drive 50 miles away from that Jerry Springer show and purchase only a couple items at each convenience store on the way....

Absolute worst floral arrangement I have ever seen. If it were possible to give zero stars that would be my true rating. Workers in the floral department were of no help at all but thankfully customer service agreed to refund our money. Definitely will not be going back to this location for flowers!

A little more expensive then the competition, but good quality most of the time. It’s unfortunate that the butcher is part time and never accessible, and the seafood doesn’t seem as fresh as ShopRite or Big Y.

Cashier kept coupons at her register for customers, store was clean, staff all friendly and welcoming to me and my little girl. We frequent this store and many employees recognize us and some even know us by name. I prefer the meat and produce selection here over other options like Super Walmart and ShopRite.

Nice and clean helpful and very orderly. Scooter was fully charged and ready to use . Location of scooters is difficult if like me are handicapt and can't walk very far. Other Stop & Shop s have them located near the entrance and make shopping a better experience
