I would like to thank Colin ( Dog Trainer). We are participating in a dog training class with Colin and he has been going above and beyond helping us with our rescue dog Lavender. Colin deserves an A+ for his training and teaching skills. The staff and customers at Petco are very helpful and kind.

Went there around 4:30ish today the fish department person was the best I’ve experienced, this was my 6th store in 2 days looking for loaches and catfish and they were here! She asked if I needed help, took me right to the specific babies I mentioned and packed them up for me, she cared about the fish too very gentle when taking them out from the net, wanted to give them time to relax before bagging so they’re not so stressed, just overall so kind and helpful. Definitely coming back for future additions to my tank

I purchased two rats here about a week ago. The staff was so kind and helpful during the process. I was signed up for the vital care program and it helped tremendously! The rats are so friendly and doing great.

I went to find a few items for my grandpup who is a teacup chihuahua and about 5 lbs. When I tell you they had some nice things (a little pricey but well worth it) I will definitely go back to shop

I am a Petco Vital rewards member and frequently go to the petco in Hamden. I happened to be in Milford today & so I stopped in there. They were very understaffed which I totally understand but when I wanted to price match an item with the petco website, which I have NEVER had an issue doing at the other location, the manager rolled her eyes and claimed that “that’s not allowed in this store.” Not to mention before she even went to cash me out she was audibly sighing & annoyed when I had already waited up to 10 minutes just for her to cash me out and didn’t mind in the slightest. I understand the frustrations of working in an understaffed retail environment as I am a full time college student and work retail as well, but there is no reason to treat others unkindly especially if they are being patient.

Went to buy a new fish and ask some questions about current fish. The woman working in the fish department was so knowledgeable and helpful, as usual. Truly appreciate all the help we get from the staff in the aquatics department.

We took our 4 month old puppy to Petco yesterday for his first grooming with Laurie, who was amazing. Given that this was his first experience, we weren't sure what to expect, and she walked us through what her plan would be, while also ensuring to let us know that if he was having a hard time, she would not push him to create a negative experience. She opted to do a face, feet, and fanny cut with a bath and blow-dry, and we were SO happy with the difference. She also gave us tips to help him become more used to grooming for his next visit. Overall, a great first experience and we will be back!

TERRIBLE!!!!!!! My dog used to love going to the groomers, ever since we started going to Petco she hated it. Brought her to a new groomer's since they have awful availability here and they said my dog was fine for everything except when the razor came out. Told me that it's because the groomers at Petco allegedly mistreat the dogs when they aren't sitting still while being groomed. While this is hearsay I will never be returning to this store. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE, will NOT be brining my dog back. This place is a complete disgrace to pet owners and you should NOT bring your pet here as these groomers have no tolerance for dogs who don't sit still immediately.

Wow! I love our local petco but this one just amazed me with their aquatics section! They have a larger and more diverse selection of fish and supplies. They also set up alot of their different tanks so you can see what you're getting and make a more informed decision on your purchase. We brought him two betta fish. One to cycle a tank but unfortunately he doesn't do well with a filter so we will be back to purchase a betta tank and possibly a few tetra since everyone seems to be out of guppies.

Old photo, that Models isn’t there any more lol, but it’s nice in the Pet Co, animals seem well taken care of, every time I walk in I see a tank being cleaned because someone just bought an animal. I’ve heard good things from people who groom their dogs there and everyone there is very sweet.Decent fish selection and one of the bigger aquatic plant and coral sections I’ve seen around my area. Never felt like I couldn’t ask someone for help, there was a few times I had to really search to find someone but that’s alright it’s a big store.There is this person who works in the fish section, I wish I got his name but he was very very helpfulSo I would like to say thank you for telling me how long and expensive salt tanks are and what I would need to start one up!

I came in the other day when my daughter brought home some hermit crabs from her trip to Virginia Beach. They were in a very tight container and didn't have the appropriate things they needed to live their best life. I walked around the store and found Julianna! She was an angel in disguise. She was so knowledgeable and answered every question I had perfectly. Julianna even helped me save money by showing me which items were on sale and saved me another 20% at the register. I will choose this Petco location over all others because of her!

I have been to every Petco and PetSmart within an hour of this place, and none can compete. Here, the people know so much and there is such a massive selection. The staff is always ready and happy to help!

Dr. S. Badapoor is the worst. With 'bad' and 'poor' in his name, it makes sense. A bad attitude and a poor representation of a medical professional.Made my puppy cry and bleed then immediately became rude and aggressive when I brought it to his attention. If he's in the clinic, take your loved one elsewhere!! Hopefully Petco will not allow him to operate at there locations.

There were two men that were there, and I hate to even begin to state this. As I was walking up to the cash register, which I had my dog and a lot of stuff in my hand, not even offered to help me and the man that wasn’t the cashier walked away and rolled his eyes at me as i said good morning to both of them. on top of that when it came down to coming to the cash register, he did not read me he just started ringing. I tried speaking casually with him anything he just zero communication. Then as I was asking the total, he looked at me and pointed at the screen to tell me and wouldn’t say it to me and as I was leaving, I asked for a bag he just ended up walking away from the register and going about in store, I’d never want to say that it is a race thing however so it felt like because I was African-American I didn’t receive the help or the ones that a customer service person is supposed to provide. This is going to be my last time coming to Petco for any Petco’s and I’m canceling my vital care membership.

Very disappointed. I recently bought some betta and other fish. All died. I came back few days later to see what happened. They tested water all good. They refunded the smaller fish but told me they could not refund my betta fish which I found very odd. The lied about fish refund. They took my dead fish but did not refund my money. Bettas are not cheap. I’ll be shopping elsewhere.
