Although we were there for a terrible circumstance, we had a great experience with them, they were kind and calm and explained everything clearly, even though I was going crazy. Park lane animal was my original vet but after they told me I couldn’t come in after I called 3 times and said it was an emergency. I tried Candlewood and they let me come right down. May my baby boy kitty live on through all they eyes that graze this post. He was the best cat I ever had.

The staff was great. So thankful that they could squeeze in an out of town pup who had an unexpected injury! They were willing to double book an appointment on their surgery day and my furry child Gabby and I are so grateful! She is doing much better. THANK YOU!!

Dr.Maizel has been my vet for over 8 years. He has consistently been my rock when it comes to caring for my fur babies. I have 3 dogs who have all had different issues at different times. Maizel has calmed me down on numerous occasions and am so grateful for his practice. My youngest, who has had disc disease since she was a pup is now living her best life in wheels with her brother and sister. I trusted him and you should too! Sometimes a humans need for full recovery isn’t in the animals best interest and he always has their best interest in mind. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. My happy healthy pups love him too ❤️

My sweet Rocky had a medical emergency today. I was hiking and he went into heat stroke very suddenly I drove to the first vets office I could find. An Angel must have guided me straight to Dr Maizel. He and his staff were incredible. They saved my Rocky’s life. He was blue and barely breathing when I carried him in. They quickly started an IV and gave him oxygen. They were compassionate and professional. I am so grateful for the care and kindness they gave to me and Rocky. I will be transferring my care to them if they have room for us. Eternally grateful.

Our regular vet retired and wouldn't you know it a week later our cat gets sick. We called on a Saturday morning and they fit us in. Surprisingly, we were still in their system from being a customer 30 years ago when we lived in New Milford. We were very pleased with how caring everyone was. Our cat ended up spending the weekend. I picked him up on Monday. He was relaxed and in good spirits. They even gave him a larger housing space because he is a big boy.

I am my own 501(c)(3) that has been rescuing and rehabilitating Pitbull's for 30 years. I chose CAH solely based on their willingness to help rescues. I was given so much more. Dr. Maziel was excellent and informative. My two recent girls were Spay at a later age and have been recovering quite nicely. He took very good care of us as did the entire office. I am very pleased and CAH will be Skye and Marbles regular Vet now.

Dr. Maizel has to be the best vet ever..he cares so much for the pets and is so great how he knows his stuff..he never wants to give you something unless it is needed..hu is knd and gentle with my little shih tzu..i travel quite a distance to see him..everyone is so nice and caring at candlewood animal hosiptal..i thank you all so much

Wonderful care. I've been using Candlewood Animal Hospital for 5+ years for my two rescue cats, Pip and Boo. Luckily I haven't needed them much beyond regular check-ups and shots but the few times one of my girls has needed attention the vets and staff have been incredible: kind, compassionate, friendly, and genuinely concerned. Our Boo has had a couple of emergencies and, despite being busy, CAH managed to see her straight away, and fix her up. I've also been able to get expert advice by email (at no charge) from the excellent veterinarians there. I feel lucky and hugely grateful to have such high-quality care for my girls so close by.

Having had such a negative experience at another vet office, I was hesitant, but my cat needed help so I read some reviews online and rolled the dice...this time I struck gold. A caring and knowledge vet and tech giving me honest and complete answers to questions, with a willingness to take the time to actually speak with you about your concerns instead of just going through the motions and moving on to the next billable customer.... not sure I could really ask for much more out of the experience. Dr. Maizel and team fit me in on very short notice, and my sweet pup was able to get in and out on a Friday afternoon with the medication she needed to get to feeling like herself again. The staff here was so nice - we only used them for prescriptions but they were so helpful and worked really hard to be sure we got everything we needed quickly for my 15 year old dog. I appreciated their parking lot arrangement that allowed for easy identification of your parking spot and an outdoor conference with a staff member upon arrival. It felt very covid safe. Everyone I saw bringing their pets in for plenty of time to speak with a staff member before dropping off their animal and everyone appeared very caring and attentive.
