Outstanding. Here’s a little story if you have a minute. We just adopted our little guy from a rescue in Texas, they shipped him up on doggie short bus, and man was he STANKY. So naturally, we scheduled him a grooming appointment with Petco for the very next day (super accommodating, thank you Petco) we get there and I’m chit chatting with the nice lady at the check in desk, mentioning how we just adopted him. This super star lady with the up most amount of compassion, very politely explains that giving Jake ( Jake the dog, attorney at law) a bath this soon would be too traumatic, given his recent couple days. She suggested we push his grooming out a month to give him time to first settle in and we happily rescheduled our appointment. When I tell you my jaw dropped, to see a large corporate business such a Petco to put my dog’s comfort over production is a breath of fresh air. It honestly never crossed my mind that taking my newly adopted bud would be traumatic but it sure as heck makes sense and I’m so grateful for that wonderful lady.Now fast forward one month. Jake, who we now realize is crippled with separation anxiety, went for his first spa day at Petco. Naturally it was a fight getting him through the doors. And oh my goodness, when they took him back I was nearly in tears. It felt like I was sending him off to college 😂 couple hours later, I’m back to pick the stinky man up and I’m in disbelief. Not only does he look adorable in his new clean coat and little bandana but he’s happy as a clam, wagging his tail, jumping up on his groomer. I know this sounds like normal dog behavior, but Jake is very very anxious around new surroundings and strangers so to see him act like this just tugs at my heart. I don’t what kind of magic they do behind those doors but Jake is a big fan and we love the grooming team at Petco! Thank you guys!!

The groomer was great with my dogs. she was very patient and was very complimentary about their behavior. She greeted us with a smile and did an excellent job with their nails.

I had my dog groomed by Hannah in Middletown, Ct this week. She is the sweetest young lady! I have been going to her for a few years now. She treats you like a friend and cares about the dogs she grooms like they are her own!! My dog has had back two surgeries and Hannah always knows to take extra special care of him while he is with her. I will always have my dogs groomed by Hannah! She needs to be recognized for her professionalism and her expertise in grooming!!

Hannah deserves employee of the year. She is so extremely great with your customers and most importantly, their dogs. She gives five star customer service, and a fantastic grooming experience. My dog knows Hannah by name and is always ecstatic for his monthly date with her.

My dog was left there Nov 26th for a was and haircut, we picked him up and was charged $40 extra with no communication. My dog came out looking like a rat. Since then he seems scared doesn’t want to be left alone and has a bad rash! Also has marks around his neck that leads to think he was tied up too tight. NEVER AGAIN! This is not what a Bichon looks like! He has been sad since.

My little shih tzu just got the best grooming of his life with Hannah at Middletown Petco. No groomer (and most vets!) can’t get near his nails - she got them all and he let her! She has a way with dogs that’s apparent. I rebooked with her specifically for next time. I am very grateful we had her and she was amazing! Thank you!

Great stylist. He was so sweet and seemed to love dogs. The tail was a little long of a cut compared to the rest of the style and it was more expensive than a local groomers which is the reason for my score. But again, the customer service was fantastic, easy and on-time!

Hannah is amazing. Maple loves her and all the staff that comes and visits her during her visit. Maple says she loves getting her toes painted all the pretty colors!!! She loves the royal treatment like she is the bestest girl in the world and loves how fluffy she is when done.

I had an appointment for my dog to have her nails trimmed. I also had an appointment for my foster dog for the same reason. My foster is afraid of men and I told the groomer this. They were very accommodating with the male groomer taking care of my dog and the female groomer taking care of my foster dog. The female groomer was very conscientious of my foster's skittishness and was extra comforting to her. It was extremely busy as the vet was there also and that area was crowded and my foster was extremely nervous. Just as I was about to ask to make a different appointment for her, the female groomer had calmed her down and getting her nails trimmed went well. I thank them both for their caring and professionalism!!

Julie I believe her name was she has different color hair and wears glasses came here for the first time with my dog she did an exceptional awesome job on my dog's hair cut I used to go to all paws down the street they are terrible and none professional I'm done with that place and will continue to come to Petco for my dogs grooming thank u Julie and Petco ur awesome
