been going to this Petco for 20 years, specifically for fish and birds. Overall watching the store expand/improve over the years is lovely but seeing the care improve for all the pets housed here over the past few years is incredible. all birds were going crazy for fresh veggies, wooden chews, and foraging toys. and lots of healthier brands making their way onto the shelves.

Some of the people there help you find what you need and they're very nice. Went there to look for either a gecko or bearded dragon. Get all my crickets and bugs there for my bearded dragon.

I went to buy a OTC med for my dog. I found an empty shelf with a sign, but it wasn't clear exactly what product was supposed to be there. The sign did not direct me to the cashier. However I asked the cashier and showed me it was locked up behind the counter. After a little searching they came up with exactly what I was looking for. It cost about as much as I expected it to. Large store, some of the staff was helpful while others who were busy completely ignored me. I would have to assume that a pet shop employee is there more for the animals than the human customers. Close enough that I will go back if needed. Bonus, my daughter already had a Petco store account setup, just entered her phone number. Hopefully the benefits will pay off for her

Love that I can bring my puppy here as a special treat, it is nice to have a puppy welcome place. Such a large variety of options and treats. Love looking at all the cute little animals too while were there. Nice that they offer grooming too, in case when we want to get his nails clipped.

Ridiculous ordered food and treats for my dog and the food was expired And treats never came because According to the manager he stated that his store does not carry that type of brand of treats I told him it was on the website he brushed me off n just said he can give me store credit proceeds to hang up the phone instead of me getting a refund or my order tried to talk about what can resolve this problem store manager was extremely rude to me and my wife n didn’t really care about it nor seen any issue but thanks at least I know not to shop with you guys again

I made an emergency stop on my way home from vacation. All I had was a picture of what was happening with my dog and the vet was closed. The 2 associates on duty gave me different options and opinions and pointed me to what I should get and do. All within 5 minutes. Did as they said without emergency visit to the vet..Vet said they may have saved my dog's life! Thank you Petco!

My Zoë loves Hannah. She is the sweetest and it shows how much she really loves dogs.. Hint Hint the paw print tattoo kinda snitched on her. When you get a chance stop by and say hello. I bet you will get a smile.Great service and pretty talented with the grooms, too.

Spent way too much as usual. Always have the bully sticks my girl has to have. 25 for 2, and each lasts exactly 4 minutes. Oh well still a great place to shop when you need multiple item types

They always have what we are looking for, the store is kept clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.*update*We recently adopted a puppy and the Middletown Petco is her favorite place to go. She loves the entire staff, but is always especially happy to see Jill and Mike. Jill has been absolutely phenomenal with training our puppy and giving us tips and tricks to get the stubborn puppy to do what she needs to do. We actually have 2 Petcos and multiple other pet stores closer to where we love but will always go a little further for the staff in Middletown.

For the past couple of visits the Petco in Middletown has provided excellent service, including vaccinations, assisting with setup of a 10 gal aquarium supplies and fish. Thanks to a great front end and dept help!

Petco themselves seems competent enough and helpful! Beware of same day delivery though! The third party delivery drivers have failed to bring the correct order multiple times (i.e. dropped off somebody else’s order, missing items etc) and getting the correct order redelivered is a HEADACHE! Using this service when I’m sick or laid up would be great but not worth the trouble. Especially upset when purchased a xl bag of high quality dog food and received a 6lb bag of purina. All down to incompetent delivery drivers.

I have gone to this location several times and all of the employees at the Middletown location are always super helpful. Our dog (Shamus) has his nails clipped there and Julie is always great with him and does a fantastic job. We also took him for training classes with Jill and she is equally great and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this store.

Store has recently moved next to the Big Lots store. It is still in the same shopping center as it used to be but in a different store with a different layout. The store is well stocked with friendly staff, but the registers are located in the front right of the store, and are hard to find.

We travel about 45 minutes to take dog classes at this petco. There are a lot of closer options to us, but Jill, the trainer is great.We are doing level 2 classes for an adult dog. The trainer works with us where we are and knows to stop when my pooch has reached her limit.

Don't use this location for vetco. Their services are atrocious. The first time I schedule an appointment I arrived early and waited in life for 50 minutes and not get seen. The second time they canceled my appointment the day of hours before. Incompetent and unprofessional and a massive waste of your time.
