So far I’ve been here twice, and it’s worth the nearly half hour drive each time. I love their huge selection of pretty much everything they have to offer, and the baked goods are so good. Honestly the sweets, baked goods, and apple cider is what me back again. I will say this place can get insanely crowded, especially in warm weather, or peak seasonal/holiday time, so plan accordingly. The second time I went right when they opened, and it was only a small handful of shoppers. It’s more enjoyable when you nearly have the store to yourself.

Great family run store with other local products for sale. Honeys, jams, pies, ice cream, cider and cider doughnuts! Apple and fruit picking available in the summer as well as an ice cream bar and a corn maze in the fall. Worth a day trip to visit.

Great farm store with lots of food and pie options. The lunch sandwich choices were excellent and came with homemade chips and an apple. There's indoor and outdoor seating, in shade or sun, and a fun corn maze. Would come back here again.

Lyman Orchards Farm Store sells produce from the Lyman Orchards as well as other local producers and a nice selection of old fashioned candies, nuts and hoods. They also have perishable items like fresh pastas, cider, and pies to bake at home. There is also a small restaurant inside. This is a delightful place to visit in fall. Apples are the main fare. It is a popular destination. A trip to the Orchards for picking your own apples, the corn maze or petting zoo on select weekends would not be complete without browsing the country store.Aside from the excellent fresh produce, I also love the store for the fall country decorations. They do a lovely job making it feel welcoming and just very festive. I especially enjoyed the wagon display and the decorations around the pumpkins for sale which was outdoors. With a view to the surrounding hills in the countryside, it is a special place. A few years back they celebrated their 275th anniversary. That's older than this country, and it's been with the Lyman family something like 10 generations now. It's definitely worth a drive out, especially in the fall.(Older review from an earlier visit)Today was a winter visit to Lyman Orchards. This is typically not when you would think to visit this location. However I very much enjoy the stark vista and early signs of spring soon to follow. I love gazing out over the pond, the views of the hills at and around the orchards, and watchingbthe flocks of birds. With leaves down one can see quite a way. It was nice to notice the shop is still open. Looking forward to the warmer weather and another Lyman season!

Such a wonderful experience. We missed the picking season, but we will be back for that. We drove by all the fields and enjoyed apples, tastings, and pastry's from the store. I also learned this is the 10th oldest business in the US...and still in operation and family owned. We found out later that you can also tour the original home on the property, so we will have to go back for that.

I have grown up coming to Lyman Orchards and have always loved this place. Now that I am an adult and bring my own child, it isn't the same and it frustrates me. I used to love coming to look at all the ducks and geese on their pond, the ducks don't come anymore. I always loved their store and events and having fun participating in their activities, can't do that anymore because they are never prepared for the huge crowds that come now. Every event gets way too many people there, and makes it so no one can enjoy anything. After today's solar eclipse event I just won't even try to attend their events anymore. I didn't see anyone enjoying themselves, everyone was just waiting in lines with 50 people. The event started at 1pm. We arrived at 12:50 and there were zero cookie decorating kits left even though it wasn't even 1 yet. And you could hardly walk through the store because every open space was filled with the winding lines from their deli or their registers. Tables were full outside, nowhere to sit except the ground. So I couldn't get a kit for my daughter that they advertised, couldn't get lunch the line was 20 ppl deep at least, nowhere to sit to even eat, so I drove there to sit and stare at the sky with a crowd of people? I can stare at the sky from my own backyard. They either need to start limiting the capacity so people can actually enjoy the event and participate in the offers they describe having at the event, or expand. Was a waste of a trip and I miss the Lyman orchards it used to be. Also, I stood at the "customer service" counter for 10 min to ask if they had more cookie kits they could put out, but no one came to help me. A worker walked by twice and saw me standing there but ignored me. I finally went to the back and went almost behind the counter and asked a man sweeping where cookie kits were and he said if I can get past the line blocking the table, then there might be some left on the table near the bread. The lines were taking over the store, but no kits were left. We all went home and watched the eclipse from our own patio instead with sandwiches from a deli down the road. Lyman's hot air balloon event was a bust, their weekend food truck festival was a bust, all events I have been to recently have been a bust because they can't handle the crowd.

Had a great time here. The plain apple cider doughnuts are delicious! Took the horse drawn hay ride. Will be back for the corn maze.

Ordered the Hillhouse Roast Beef Sandwich. The most disgusting sandwich I've ever had. Bread was supposed to be seeded rye but it was marbled rye...no seeds and the crust was stale. The roast beef had so much fat on it that by the time I took all the fat off there was only enough meat for half of my sandwich. For $12.49 the meat should be way better than what it was. The potato chips were gross...super dark and saltless. Will not get sandwiches from there again. While I appreciate your response, the sandwich was as I described it. It was not eaten on premises and I certainly was not traveling all the way back.

Originally stopped just to take some pictures but strolled through the store and decided to get a sandwich. Roast beef sandwich was great. Comes with chips and an apple. Store as always was neat, well stocked, and well merchandised.

For picking fruits, there is no better place to go. The crops are lush, very close to metro areas and the staff is friendly and professional. We had an amazing time picking and eating strawberries, and before that apples. It's a great family activity and one that is tasty and experiential too ! The apple varietals orchard are open at peak maturity insuring great eating and picking experience. The orchards are kept near and clean, no swarming insects on apples.

We held our 2nd annual Mission Possible for Crohn's & Colitis event at Lyman Orchards a few weeks ago & it was amazing. The location is a perfect setting for an outdoor event & the food was delicious! The staff members are very helpful, polite & a pleasure to work with on event day and leading up to the event.

When you walk into the store it smells heavenly. I went here for lunch after picking, it was delicious and the price was good. I’m glad they had an all beef hotdog and soft serve!

Corn maze experience was amazing! $30 is worth it, I love the taste of beers! The a-MAZE-ing Beer Tasting at Lyman Orchards’ Rock and Roll 🎸 themed corn maze did not disappoint! 👏We wandered through the corn maze to sample beer from three local breweries this fall! I had such a fun time here, so many amazing things to eat and see. I was beyond excited to take home a delicious blueberry cobbler, it was all I could think about! I take a bite and it's no cobbler, it's a bland coffee cake with the smallest amount of blueberries on top. I think of they added blueberries inside it, would have been amazing. But MAYBE, don't label it as one thing when it's another. Or Google what cobbler is. Heart broken, but I can't wait to go back, but I will be examining my desserts first.

We had a fun time at the Apple Hunt. The kids got a free T-shirt, and a ton of apples. The Apple Barrel Store had a large menu for hot foods to sit in or to go. In addition, they had a large array of bakery goods and baking supplies, as well as a counter with fresh pastries. In addition, they had a coffee shop. They also had a small gift shop area. You can use your card for everything there. The food there was delicious, there is also a kids menu that includes kid favorites. I recommend the apple cider & apple cider donuts. You can eat inside or outside the Apple Barrel. They also offer seasonal Pick Your Own Apples, and have special events including mazes, pony rides, an delicious foods outdoors.

The horse rides here are awesome. The pies are obviously delicious. The gelato? Out of this world. Make sure to come early if it is a weekend of importance or they are holding an event because even though the place is huge it can fill up extremely fast!

The pick your own apple & pumpkin farms here are amazing! The apple cider doughnuts are even better!! <3 I love their market with all of their homemade pies, pastries, butters, jams, etc! A great place to visit with your children or visit with a loved one. Great photo opportunities and a place to create memories, I've gone since I was a child and continue to go every autumn if i can!

Lyman Orchards is a great place to visit, they have something for everyone, from a large pick-your own orchard for apples, berries, peaches, and more. They also have large market which carries everything from produce, to cider donuts, and fresh made sandwiches. In the fall they have a corn maze, and a lot of other family friendly attractions/events going on as well.

Happy to suggest the Perfect family day out farm. Best place for fruit picking. Beautiful & scenic farm. Don’t miss the sunset at this place. Farm charges reasonable for fruits. A big 👍

Great store. Horrible everything else. The corn maze is just a corn path. You really can't get lost. There is no challenge. It was $33 for three of us which I'm fine with if it isn't just a walking trail through corn. The lines are long. The pumpkin picking was a joke. I can't imagine they're grown there with such a small selection and such high prices. The staff consisted of primarily disinterested people that didn't seem to enjoy their work. I'll go to their well known competitor in the future.

Fun and festive place to visit. We come here a lot and usually spend half the day. Today is no different and we decided to stay and eat. Meals come w chips and of course and apple. I ordered the bean wrap. Must be a shortage on the beans. I wasn't exactly hoping for a lettuce sandwich. Food wasn't great but the place is always fun.

We enjoyed the strawberry festival this afternoon. The farm is beautiful, and the whole berry picking system seemed to flow very well while we were there. The country store is beautiful, and the different baked goods, canned items, treats, etc. all seemed to be reasonably priced! Definitely planning to come again!! 4.5 stars ;)

First time visiting this beautiful farm, store, food court and sunflower maze. Great fresh produce, jams, pies, etc. Friendly staff. Ample parking. U-pick or pre-picked fruits and vegetables seasonally available. Breakfast and lunch available for purchase with picnic tables provided to eat at. Many families were enjoying the sunflower maze.

Lyman Orchards is a local gem of Connecticut that I'm happy to live near for nearly 20 years. A nice local shop with fruits, vegetables, breads, pies, apple cider, or sandwiches, they have many things. It's on a lovely piece of property, excluding the whole orchard which is huge, and they have something going on almost year round. Side note, and it's a personal opinion, but they make the absolute best apple pie! The caramel walnut being the best of the best.

Must go! So of course the game is beautiful and the maze is amazing(2 of our friends got lost) but the food, GOODNESS! I felt like I was at the Wonka Factory! Not just pies hunny, cakes popcorns, slushed cider, fruit, signature sandwiches(the cranberry Mayo my lord), YOU NAME IT they have it and it’s amazing. The prices are so reasonable it unbelievable. I can go every weekend and wouldn’t get tired. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

This place is awesome! Fresh market, fresh pies and tons of things to do. Live music in the tents, picnics in the lawn, apple/pear picking down the road. The only thing that was sub par was the BBQ Bacon Burger for lunch and the long long line to eat. They have fresher options, which I know for next time. It was a beautiful day outside which certainly helped.

Enjoyed our visit to the sunflower maze, blueberry picking, and the store. Busy place but absolutely gorgeous. We went on the first day of the sunflower maze, so the flowers weren't at peak. Imagine another week or two with some good weather.

Lyman Orchards holds great events! Check out the Fall Corn Maze! You can volunteer to be a corn cop and help folks get out of the maze! They also have a great store with homebaked goodies, fruits, veggies, apples and more! Try some apple crisp, kettle corn or a horse drawn carriage ride. Great Family Fun
