Have been coming here for years. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly. I purchased my dog from here a few years ago and the woman (Jen)who helped me then still helps me when I come in to buy new toys, snacks and new leashes. She always asks about my dog. It’s nice that she remembers. The manager is pretty friendly too whenever I see him.

I loved gentle jungle. All the employees were so helpful.they helped me pick out toys and all the starting items for my kitten Nobu. You can tell the kittens are well taken care of and happy!

It’s very unfortunate seeing the puppies in small cages with no blankets at least for their feet standing on wired flooring. I have a sneaking suspicion they’re from puppy mills, I saw a bunch of the same breed when I last came, some look ill too.Also most of their betta fish have fin rot unfortunately even one was dead and the staff didn’t notice till I pointed them out, goes to show how much lack of attention these guys get. They were also in tiny dirty bowls I bet the ammonia levels were spiked up bc of it. The tanks beside them were empty and filthy, I was hoping they’d at least clean them and put one betta in each tank (they can’t be together bc of aggressive behavior)The kittens looked kind of tried and perhaps ill as well? he’s got boogie eyes poor things.

I got my lil Sadie Baby from here about 2 years ago. To this day, she has been full of love ever since I first saw her. I’m extremely grateful the Gentle Jungle was able to not only provide me my best friend, but take such tremendous care of her (even getting in some playtime with her helped her open up). I couldn’t be more thankful for their tremendous work with her ❤️

I bought my daughter this lil guy from gentle jungle we bought him healthy and he remains very healthy to this day. Great customer service! Very knowledgeable staff and easy financing. I'd definitely recommend and return if we decide to add to our fur family.

Gentle Jungle is the place to go to find a new family member!! I've bought my dogs from here and the owner and staff have always been so friendly and knowledgeable. They have play rooms to meet the puppies and do a great job of teaching you how to care for a puppy at home. Their puppies are seen by a vet every week and mine have always been healthy. Would definitely recommend this place!

Love this place! They let you play with all kinds of animals here, they have the cutest puppies, kittens and ferrets. Everytime I come in here there's adorable puppies playing all around the store, they offer you treats to give the puppies, this place definitely seems to love and care for their animals <3

I went to Gentle jungle several days ago. it was a weekend, store packed, and I could only find one employee helping 5 playrooms at once. had to wait 25 minutes, yes 25 minutes, just to buy a single dog toy. animals were being pushed and hit by children and hamsters are being flung from their wheels. The one employee looked way too stressed and clearly couldnt take care of customers, nevermind the pets being abused in the store. when i was rung up i asked to speak to a manager. i was told they dont know when a manager would be on at all this week. So this one kid, maybe 20 years old, has to run the pet store by himself? i even told the kid about a rabbit i saw some 15 year olds just pick up and walk out with, he just shrugged. the owner should be disgusted with his store. no wonder everything is half off, nobody wants to support a place run so poorly, especially if animals are stolen and abused and they tell you they dont care. I am definitely calling the authorities because i dont feel bad for this store, only the animals being abused and neglected by the owner

I want to know where ALL the dogs and cats went. My husband and I came here every weekend for a month straight and they had sold maybe 2 dogs. If any. We always saw the same animals. We came to play with the cutest little cocker spaniel but it was way overpriced so we would come to see if his price dropped every weekend. Anyways. We came back and EVERY SINGLE DOG AND CAT was gone. There was ALOT. I asked where all the animals went and she said “they sold” . That’s a damn lie. You’re telling me for a month straight no animal sold becuase they’re freaking expensive. And then all of sudden every single animal was sold. Sold to who or WHERE. Because that’s bull. I really liked this place and thought they were awesome but when we came back to NO dogs or cats there at all. That’s VERY weird and suspicious. We’re talking 60 something dogs and cats.

I was with my little sister and man!The owners of this place are so out of placeThe young lady that looks older was condescending my sister. She was willing to give her the dog with like zero credit..But when we came back the older gentleman and the daughter were saying they did not want to give us the dog because of my sisters reviewThe problem was HER ATTITUDE.We understood very well what was going on. THEY need to have better customer service and decency 😐 Smh GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Tonight we brought home the cutest puppy to add to our family. He’s playful and sweet, and was so excited to meet our dogs when we got him home. Darcie and the other employees were so knowledgeable and kind. They gave us time with him without rushing us even though it was close to closing, talked with us about what he’d need and how to care for him, and made the entire experience memorable. Darcie and the rest of the staff are so personable! I can’t thank them enough!

I bought a dog from gentle jungle 20 years ago when they were in Waterbury.Daisy was a wonderful dog and gave me 16 years of wonderful memories.I just bought a Havenese puppy she is absolutely beautiful.Peter the owner cares about his animals and makes sure they all go to a good home.

On June 8th 2023 we came in feeling lost because we lost our bun of 5 years due to cancer, Her name was Esmeralda. We came to this pet store just to take a look at animals because they help me relax but sure enough saw this beautiful bunny and fell in love & came home with us that same day. We name her Samantha! She's been doing very well here at her new free roam home! This place was very helpful and knew alot so thank you gentle jungle 5/5☆

We got one puppy with them. Pomeranian3 years later we got another PomeranianWe paid 4K for a puppy and she passed away 1 year later because of poor breeding.Later on looking through the paper and doing some research I noticed that they get their puppies from puppy mill and this particular puppy mill was even on the watch list in 2018-2019.We purchased the puppy in 2021.Stay away from this place.

I came here looking for a puppy for my son, first off we weren’t greeted. I found help & the woman that helped was really nice and gave great information! However, in order for us to see one of the puppies we had to get one of the small rooms which we did and not even 5 minutes in there we were kicked out & was told we had to leave because “there’s a line”, the girl grabbed the puppy while my son was playing with him and basically kicked us out, so we immediately left, I will never return here again because of her. It’s too bad because we were looking forward to bringing a fur baby home right away!

My family and I had one of the best experiences we have ever had a any retail store at the Gentle Jungle. We have been searching for a dog while now and found one that we fell in love with.Not only did the employees treat us kindly and like a friend, they gave us (what I would consider) great advice on what to do with our new puppy. They walked us through everything, made sure we were comfortable with what we were doing and just gave us an all around great time.I would highly recommend the Gentle Jungle!

On October 2nd 2022 my partner and I decided to get a kitten. We fell I love with an all white Persian cat for the first few days he was fine until a few days later we noticed a lot of changes. 1) excessive amounts of eye discharge we know that Persians are prone to discharge however this cat had a-lot, we took him to the vet just to find out he was not dewormed (which the pet store said they did) 2) he had an ear infection, it was very un responsible from the pet store not to mention as we had mentioned to them we have 2 cats at home and could’ve potentially got sick.While the pet store did covered the FIRST visit to the vet we are still trying to figure out what’s wrong with his eyes, I tried calling the vet the pet store uses just to find additional information/medical history that can potentially help my vet figure out what’s going on but they said that the store has all that information & the store claims to have none. At this time My vet has sent me to a specialist, and we are waiting for the appointment in the mean time we use eye drops to control the redness and swelling of his eyes and hope for the best.While I do love my kitty and I will do what’s on my power to heal him & provide him with all the care he needs I regret purchasing him from a pet store that does not take care of their animals in store & also because it really does contribute to the over breeding of these poor babies. I took long to leave a review as I really wanted to see if maybe this was just an infection or something that could be cure with some antibiotics, but today in particular he had another vet visit in regards to his eyes and other concerns seeing him so down and not himself really shatters my heart he is not even 1 year old and has been to the vet more than I wanted to. To all people trying to purchase a cat I would definitely think twice before buying.I added some pictures one shows how his eyes could be when we don’t add his eye drops.

We love the staff especially Linda. The puppies are well taken care of and enjoy all the extra petting they get in the visitor corrals. It’s a wonderful place to visit!

Where are your animals?One weekend almost every cage is filled, the next all empty? Doesn’t seem right. 2 dogs left out of about 40 is weird.

I love this place. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they're always willing to let customers give the animals healthy socialization and play time. I just wish they had a better setup. I hate seeing the animals in the little cages with their paws on the metal. It looks like they're moving stores so I hope they plan to give them a more comfortable environment like they have at All Pets Club.

I financed a puppy here and I’ve only had him for about a month and had to go to the vet 3 times. My puppy had to be hospitalized and the vet bills are over $1,000. He needs more treatment that I wasn’t expecting to pay for in such a short amount of time. I tried getting a refund but they denied it to me, the manger and another older woman there were very rude. The shop owner has yet to call me for an update on this process and it’s been about 2 weeks now. Save your money and the headaches and go elsewhere.

And she wouldn't have put it down if they didn't make it seem so easy and simple.It's a long process and they still denied me...I have 700 credit but they didn't want to give me the dog because of my girls review.

Great pet store. Great selection of puppies and supplies. The owner and staff are so caring for the animals and very willing to help you and answer any questions you may have. Yes I did get a puppy from this store and I spent several hours in this store the first day cuz I was making sure I was going to get the right puppy to add to my family. Yes I went back the next day after sleeping on it and went back and got the right puppy from here. THEY ARE NOT PUSHY AND TRY TO MAKE YOU BUY A PUPPY.

I'm in love with my puppy! We had a great in-store experience with the crew and especially Tucker! Tucker was absolutely amazing. We've only had our new puppy for a few days now so I'll post an update in a couple months. So far, so good though Thank God.UPDATE:My puppy is now 8 months old and we have had him since last December ! He is healthy , happy & thriving !!!!
