Pretty solid store. Fresh food there are always fresh when I go. Prices are better than price chopper, somehow, which is ironic. Always very clean. Very niche items, randomly dispersed throughout, which is great. Decent staff, and usually well staffed. Only 3 out of 5 stars because of the following:- Self checkout? I'm not ringing out my own stuff, period, I don't work for you. Don't make me laugh. You have 500 registers. Put employees in them for God's sake, you make enough money.- That was all. Just the register situation. Goes to show how big of a problem it is since it cost you 2 stars.Overall, I'd recommend this place over any other grocery stores in a 20 mile radius, and I mean it. It is only a 3 out of 5, so what's that tell you about the other businesses around them ;)

I've been shopping here for many years. It is always a pleasant experience! I love Debbie who gives 100 percent when checking me out and is always so helpful and kind. And the young ladies in the deli too ! Even on busy days it's always a pleasant atmosphere. Best donuts at the bakery too!!

Always clean when I shop there. For the most part the Cashier's and shelf stockers are friendly and helpful! Bakery always has some yummy treats and the deli and seafood has always been fresh and delicious! The fruit is usually fresh and beautiful, much better than a few other stores!

This Big Y is big, modern and a large offering of items. It's clean and they are patient. I came in with an older woman who rummaged through her purse to find exact change while everyone waited patiently.

I love Big Y. The food is always great. Had some ready made wings and fresh fish. Everything is always fresh, even the flowers were beautiful for this time of year.

Big Y is my grocery store. I do not shop other stores. I like the local grown support. The cashiers and staff treat you like family. My only frustration right now is they are selling bio- engineered products and products that took their famous people off their brands. Where's Aunt Jemima? She was a real lady. She was very smart and talented. I taught her at the Lyman Allyn Museum. Her amazing quilt was in the Woman in art exhibit. I wish they would stand up against these issues.

Great place to shop for groceries!! Havent had any bad experience here and the people who work here are very friendly! I do think for some items they are pricey but they do offer a variety of goods here!

Decent sized store. Recently remodeled. Always clean. Prices are on the high side but that's the case pretty much everywhere. Deli and seafood is fresh and delicious. Meat department is also fresh.

Can you please teach your grinder makers how to assemble a grinder that people can actually eat instead of wear? Every time I get one, (seldomly, as I'm also at work and need to be able to eat standing up or responding to customers), it is the messiest and sloppiest grinder possible. The toppings are all smashed out, the tuna is in the wrapper more than on the bread, and the cheese is wodged on top of it all like an afterthought. It's awesome smelling like you bathed in tuna mayo for the rest of the work day. I don't know if your bread is too narrow, the method is wrong, or both, but it's really a mess. PS No one wants a BLT with the lettuce and tomatoes toasted. Put the cheese and bacon in the toaster, then add your fresh ingredients. Stop using prepackaged Italian cold cuts about to expire on the Italian combo, because they taste really gross. Y'all need to have a field trip to any other grinder shop in the area and study their methods. Always a disappointment, which is a shame, because the individual ingredients are usually pretty good.

Our family does our weekly shopping here. The store is always clean, staff is always courteous, produce is fresh, and shelves are always stocked. Parking can be a little tight at times unless you park at the far end.

This store is the only store I consistently shop at. I absolutely love all the locally grown and/or made options stocked here. Truly represent New England and the surrounding areas very well. Great sales all the time! I used to love the app, and it's still a good app. The most recent update is a little wonky and making my grocery list is a bit harder, the main reason to have the app. I'm lost without my list! Still is a functional app, and this still is by far my favorite store! Clean and super friendly staff always! Thank you!

Usually a great experience but for the past year or so, every time we come (several times a month) the product offerings and locations are completely different, or the section is just completely unstocked. It’s become quite frustrating. I have many food allergies and finding brands that I can eat is difficult. It feels like every time I find a food I can eat here, it’s been replaced the following week with a different brand that I’m allergic to.

I've reviewed Big Y previously but I must add stuffIn my last visit- OMG! Always clean but this was SUPER CLEAN. Every shelf had products lined up like little soldiers. Variety of HEALTHY foods growing.The first time staff after staffer asked me if I found what I was looking for!Prices everywhere skyrocketingI'll only buy things on sale. Seafood continues to be FRESH. but gosh. $30 for scallops I cannot afford. I won't go elsewhere. I trust food will be safe...I REALLY REALLY need Big Y to offer more NO SALTED ADDED snacks. Impossible to find.Maybe a no salt added section?????? Instead I comb the aisles and I'm tired of it!!!!Always a handicapped parking space open. Much appreciated..Always CARTS available!Nice flowers 💐 at GREAT PRICES. Quality. Cared for.I love self check out..Sometimes my shopping bags are at home. PLEASE ! Those paperbags we PAY FOR rip as soon as you pick it up. Can't we get better bags considering prices for FOOD? I'll pay $.10 a bag!Not good to get into bad mood when food falls out of ripped bags. Yes. Bring my own, but sometimes. I forget. Have mercy !

They have a sign out at the meat counter saying it's open from 8am to 9pm. This is apparently false.I got there at 7:30 and the guy behind the counter had the lights off and said they were "obviously closed"... despite product being out and visible, him being right there, and their sign saying they should be open.If you want to buy meat, do it before 7 pm, I suppose!

Always fresh dishes made here. Whether it's from pizza to sushi soup salads chicken it's all fresh. Cakes or cupcakes freshly made for an occasion. Self checkout lines. Also good deals of the week and you can earn points and coins to get free stuff or a discount on your stuff. Nice staff helpful and very clean. Good place to go if you are having a big event or even a small one. Quick service not to busy.

This location is very clean I believe the fruits and vegetables are a step up from stop&shop but as with every thing you pay more also good quality meat and fish store is always clean and the parking lot is newly paved

I love shopping here! Its become my go to when for groceries. It’s a little bit more expensive than other places, but we’ll worth it for most things. The bakery section is especially good, in my opinion.

This store is always clean and well-stocked. I get my prescriptions filled here too. The bakery and prepared foods sections are always a treat, and the vegan/vegetarian choices are better than any other store around.

Shop there all the time. The Produce is very good. I have only been disappointed in two items so far that I have purchased. There is a good selection of meats also. I would rather shop at Big Y than any other grocery store.
