I’ve been bringing my boys (Chowder & Kona) here since I moved back in 2014. Sadly, this past year I lost both of them but I’ll always appreciate the dedication and caring nature everyone demonstrated anytime I would come in. They were always great about fitting me in when I wasn’t sure what was going on and I always respected and trusted Dr. Meads opinion. He always treated my boys as if they were his own and that level of comfort isn’t something I could put a dollar amount to.We still bring our cat, Muffy, to KAH and I always suggest them to family and friends.Thank you KAH staff and Drs for everything over the years.

We have been lifelong Collie owners and have had several vets before finding Killingworth Animal Hospital. Love this place and the people. Never judge you or speak a negative word to you and know how to care for our pets. We are very grateful to have been referred by a friend who takes their Collie here as well.

extremely disappointed to say the least. i’ve been going here for years and i had an emergency with my dog who had to be rushed to the hospital cause he was in cridical condition. the vet, i don’t remember the name but she was a female was not sympathetic whatsoever, wouldn’t transfer my dog to an emergency vet without $850 dollars. is it about the dog or the money. i was away and asked to come in the day i get back but no. the emergency vet didn’t do anything she didn’t know how to do, 20 minutes of cpr, absolutely devastated by this and neither vet cared about me or my dog, only the money.

My mother has been bringing all of her animals to Killingworth Animal Hospital for years. On today's visit I took her cat in for some physical issues. Can't say enough about Chris Mullen and her staff. Diagnosed and treated problems quickly and at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend Dr. Mullen, Dr. Dunn and the Killingworth Animal Hospital

I have been taking my dogs to Dr Fair for 22 years. Recently I called and needed help on a Thursday afternoon and was told to go to urgent care or I could call again the next day..the idea that they couldn't accommodate my dog when we have been long time patients its sad. They didnt even off to try to see us in the morning. I called another local vet who was also booked but when I told them why they agreed to see us in the morning and helped my best friend out. Really stinks how much it changed and the lack of personal care.I really enjoyed this office and they helped us in the past during difficult times, and while I respect Dr Fair we likely will have to go elsewhere.Compassionate was not what I met in n my call there...

A good experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Our little dog was seen on time. They listened to our dogs issue, examined him and had a solution. Our little guy is on the mend and doing better.

My cat had what turned out to be a urinary blockage and almost died (after a misdiagnosis at a different vet). We had waited five days to see if symptoms would improve but he was going unresponsive; we took him end of the day Friday and they were able to fit us in without an appointment. It turned out he was a few hours from death by septic shock. They got a catheter in him and balanced out his vitals, and we're going in for a followup in a few days. Ran about $1000, but we still have our cat. Very blessed!

I have only been to Killingworth Animal twice, but I had wonderful experiences both times! I was calling around the area regarding ferret vaccinations and the receptionists were incredibly friendly and helpful (which was a relief since the staff at another local vet's office was surprisingly curt). My fuzzy buddy, Peanut, was seen by a very sweet and funny vet (although I unfortunately didn't catch her name) and then subsequently by Dr. Fair, who was also really funny and knowledgeable. They were both gentle with Peanut while administering the vaccines and she took it like a champ. I could tell they were concerned with her well-being when they suggested I stay in the waiting area for a bit to make sure she didn't have any reactions. The receptionists were awesome and super sweet, and treated my ferret like a rock star! I'll definitely be back next time!

They take care of my two dogs and my cat. There is nowhere I’d rather take any of them. The doctors are fair and kind. No non sense but the well being of the furry friends is placed first. The staff at the front desk is pleasant and caring as well. I strongly recommend this practise.

I had used the Killingworth Animal Hospital for over 32 yearsThis past week 8-16-21 to 8-21-21 We needed a vet for our 16 year old Westie and left messages on their phone and no one called us back. When i finally got someone on the Phone on 8-21, I was told they could not see our dog and to take her some place else. We did and our Beloved Kelly passed away. I will never forgive the place where we wanted to take her to begin with. The Killingworth Animal Hospital they don't care.

I recently brought my dog in for his annual exam. I was sent home and told that my dog was too worked up to be seen. Yes, he was barking a bit and slightly growling, but he is fear aggressive and protective. He is a 35 lb dog and we have taken him to many vets, who have all been understanding of his situation and treated him with compassion and acceptance. This office makes me feel like I have a "bad dog". The other times I have brought him there they have made me muzzle him. No other vet has made me do this. I will be taking him elsewhere moving forward.

Excellent care but said my dog didn't have much time left to live. That was 4 years ago. He's still alive and well and spoiled and almost 13 years old. Will only go back for prescription food now.

My dog, Caramia, who was diagnosed with Cushings Disease 1-1/2 years ago was displaying odd behaviors. I made an appointment to go to the hospital, but my dear dog didn't want to move. Dr. Mead came to the house, evaluated her and explained her tumor in the middle of her brain was, in all likelihood, growing. His compassion for Cara as well as me was beyond helpful. She peacefully was released from this plain.Thank you Dr. Mead for helping me make a painful , but educated decision.

Dr.Mead is the best vetraniran I've ever met !He saved my dog from melanoma cancer , if he hadn't made the large margins he had taken I would have lost her . Also he vet billing is more than reasonable

Great veterinary services from doctors who really care. In particular, I have had cats treated by Dr. Fair for the last ten years, and all the cats at the car shelter I volunteer at (some 250) are seen there.

call other places and compare prices, I foolishly did not. they charge more than double what other places charge for the exact same services. they are nice, but ridiculously overpriced.
