M&H Equipment has been a great find. Both owners Patrick and Neil and two others are former John Deere store mechanics and parts experienced. To have a shop in Torrington versus going to Farmington or Cannan is a great plus. I have a compact tractor that they serviced and fixed. They mainly service commercial lawn accounts, but can certainly fix your biggest problem. On top of that they care and work with you to make you feel like a valued customer. We all know what it is like to find good businesses. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

They claimed my brand new battery that drained could not be recharged. I recharged it. It's fine. They wanted $900 to replace a blown cylinder head on a 20 horse Briggs. A $200 dollar head. One Hell of a mark up or NASA mechanic labor rates. Go to Grunders. They treat home owners well.

I called M&H a couple of weeks ago to see if they could fix my Husqvarna Rancher 455. I spoke with Aaron, told him the problem, and he said to bring it in and I could pick up in a day or two. I went in and he looked at it on the counter and called another associate over who fixed it right there on the spot. It took all of 5 minutes and it now works perfectly. I was blown away by the service, courtesy and efficiency and now know where I will go with any issue I have with any of my lawn/farm equipment. Thank you Aaron and M&H!!

I recently purchased a new redmax trimmer from M&H. Initially I loved it. After a few weeks use, the trimmer started vibrating and bogging a bit. I was understandably disappointed that a new piece of pro grade equipment was acting up so fast. I showed up late in the day on a Friday. They took it in and evaluated it on the spot. Told me they would get to the bottom of it as soon as they could. The very next day they called me and told me the trimmer had a new head and a new carb under warranty and was good to go. Has performed flawlessly since. I'm amazed at the turnaround. Will be my go to shop going forward.

I needed to have my Curtis plow worked on. Other places I called really didn't want to do the job. These guys looked at it and said no problem, we'll get her done. I have to agree with the other reviewers-probably one of the best places for customer service. Just incredible how nice and accommodating they are. I needed a quick start of my generator during a power outage, this past winter, and just asked for a tutorial on my generator yesterday, before tomorrow’s storm.Both times, they came here, asap. I have brought everything from chainsaws to tractors to M&H and they’ve always done a great job and they stand by their work. They are very knowledgeable in what they do and I’ve never had a problem with the stuff I’ve purchased from their business. Went here cause I couldn't get one of my blades off my Scag.-(Was Friction Welded) They took me right in, and the mechanic had the blade off within a minute, gave me a new nut, and off I went! Didn't even charge me. I'm a regular here, due to their service, and cause they are Local. Great guys. You won't be disappointed!
