This is what's acceptable to Save-a-lot Food Store in Hartford at 2:10 on a Monday afternoon. I went in to get some cilantro and there was non to be found. This is about what I found the last time I was there about a month ago to look for t-bones that were supposed to be on sale but the meat case was empty then too. I vowed to not go back but I tried it again since I was close by. Is this what Save-a-lot has turned into? If anyone is giving them above 3 stars, it's because it's an employee or friend/family of an employee.

Staff not very friendly in the front and the prices are OUTRAGEOUS I left almost IMMEDIATELY I now get my groceries delivered to me from Walmart and those prices don’t take advantage of people at ALL this is the only save a lot I’ve been to with these crazy prices they should be ashamed of themselves

Where's the "low prices" that are advertised? I paid the same or more than at a Walmart. Also several things I purchased were mispriced. They were stacked in one spot, off aisle shelf, with one price but rang up with a higher price. Also seems only 2 employees were there but one was on her phone sitting back by the registers with multiple people in line. It felt like a poor store in a poor area, but higher prices.

I love this place I go here for everything, the price is affordable they have new stock every week,and whenever I go in there for something, I always find it this is my go-to grocery store the only thing I don't buy here is meat,I don't trust packaged meat I like fresh meat

Takes full advantage of their position in the middle of a food desert by over pricing products (sometimes 2× more) that are already pretty over priced in other stores. For some people this store is their only option to eat a well rounded meal and this establishment makes sure they get every penny they can from their customers. Shame.

Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Shelves stacked with local and national brands. Store was very clean, aisles not crowded. I like the new look and the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables. Cashier had a horrible disposition.

My wife and I were there for a few things, The Best SaveALot Ever!.. My wife and I just looked at the Receipt, And the Cashier charged us for Frozen Fish Sticks That We didn't get, My wife will be there tomorrow, I just happen to look at the Receipt, And Look, CRAZY

I frequent this store. The prices are always affordable. You will need a quarter for a cart. You get it back if you bring the cart back.The food is usually fresh. I have not received anything with a bad expiration date.The staff are overworked but very helpful, kind and hardworking.

I have been shopping at this store since I moved to the north end 9 yrs ago the last 6 months I have gotten 10 yes 10 pkgs of rotten chicken. It is frozen when I buy it with an experation date at least 1 week out. Once it unthaws then you realize it rotten. Seriously need health dept to go in n look n let's not forget the bread that was chewed through buy a rat!!!!!!!!

I miss Save A Lot in East Hartford. I go out of town for the products and service I grew accustomed to. Staff at both locations are instant friends, on top of dedicated hard working customer service professionals. Patrons are friendly, frequently engage in conversation with one an other, something I am not experiencing at larger stores. The products are great and prices remarkable. Thank You for setting a standard in community; saving lives with your money, Save A Lot!

The store is runing under new owner and honestly In one way I like it cus of variety of Hispanic food products but they are soooooo expensive I mean it's save alot not spend alot it's a pocket ruined .

The store is Always stocked when i go! Produce always fresh the food is not expired that is NOT something you need to worry about! The meat is red and fresh. And the cashier i usually have Is so out going and you could talk to her like you've known her for years! Really nice Girl i wish i knew her name so the manager can see she's outstanding in what she does. She worked on the floor one day we stopped in and she was stocking the Freezer and dairy section on her day off. She is such a smart young woman who is such an easy person to talk to, someonewho goes over and beyond her job if i or anyone else for that matter (busy on the floor or not) asked her where something is she will drop what she's doing and walk you to the item. And a price, she'll go get that price you couldn't get the scanner to tell you. She is African American and is the nicest cashier I've met.

Save-A-Lot is my store I find things in there you don't find anywhere else I just wish it was closer to me where I could get to it easier I always have to have a ride that's my only problem with Save-A-Lot but that's the store to go to if you want different things something different they have name brands and all that too so and they got my entenmann's mini pound cakes!

Prices are sky high don't allow you to even use the restroom plus they watching you tru cameras like you"re a thief not a good vibe, half of the items you need you won't find them here it's a no go.

Reasonable prices. Convenient. Located in my neighborhood, where there are no big supermarkets. Friendly cashier. On another shopping day, left satisfied with customer service and found quality products on my grocery list at reasonable prices.💖

Sometimes it's good but then Sundays your like COME ON! Two registers open and it's the 5th of the month. Wow it's a freaking zoo waiting in line with people whom carts are full, as well as those customers who only have 1 or 2 items. Patience runs out and people get bother not a good place during these times. However on a good day you'll be in and out get cashiers.

Overall a pretty good shopping experience. As compared to other grocery stores in the Hartford area the place Is pretty clean, well stocked with the items they carry and the customer service is usually adequate.

Save a lot has been good since the beginning of the year 2022 always stock with food cashier always open they have improved a lot I wish they sold granola to have with my yogurt

Everything was clean nicely stocked and everything i went for they had!!! Its very rare to walk into a store last minute Christmas time and find EVERYTHING you went for without having to go to another store for something!! Every time i go to Save-A-Lot the shelves are stocked and the store is clean. Keep up the good work

My shopping experience "this month" at Save A Lot was fine. The store had "every thing" I was looking for. Produce, frozen foods and veggies were well stocked.

I'm glad we have at least one grocery store in the neighborhood. I'd give the meats a B+ rating. However, vegetables at the South end store, are far fresher than the northern. Frozen vegetables, a very poor selection. Do they think we don't eat vegetables? I went back to the Stop and Shop and buying their products leave me no broker than Save a Lot and I get cheap gas too. So no, Save a Lot people, the folks on the north end won't just eat any old thing.

This supermarket is just a quick drop in when you need something to prepare a cousine of your choice if you don't have the item to complete a breakfast - lunch , or dinner!!!
