Today I tried using my humana spending card at this particular store and the cashier and store supervisor didn't know how to use the card. When I explained how it had worked at the Dollar store in East Hartford the cashier told me that I was wrong and that my card isn't being accepted. She proceeded to ask me what did I want her to do about it. Now, I understand that sometimes corporate is slow at training their associates, but I explained to her how to process my card, and she refused to do so and was kinda rude about it. So I will NEVER shop at this particular Dollar general again. 😒

It's a fire hazard. Boxes and boxes all over the place. Misleading ads. I couldn't find anything because of the mess. Fire Marshall should pay them a visit also license and inspection. The staff are wonderful and kind. It's a good store to shop, but this one is a mess

I have to support this place because Im a frequent flyer i have sky miles here!!!!! Lol of course the area is what it is but they have updated the inside of the store + and increased their frozen food selections and they have an excellent app which alerts you when deals are available. And they have late hours. All of these pluses benefit the customers so i like this store. use your app you will discover hidden gemz 💎

First I would like customers to know I grew up in the area where this dollar General is located the resident's were so happy this store came to the neighborhood so when im in the area i like to go to this dollar General except for today my experience was bad the cashier had a nasty attitude because I didn't tell her before hand i need $10 in cash back like this is the first time ever at any dollar General I've gone to where i was told this.and i also was told some other information about getting cash back which seemed like bs i go to dollar General in ct and ma and i never had this problem honestly the cashier made my shopping experience bad with the attitude if you don't like your job its not my fault but when you become a cashier you have to lose the attitude for real also if there is a certain policy about giving cash back it should be posted next to the register so next time i can read it and don't even think about receiving cash back and i paid $1 to get my cash back yes i feel some type of way and i think the manager needs to know about this because i don't want to avoid this store because it supports the neighborhood but the cashier needs to be checked about her attitude.

They throw anything into their clearance section and without price tags. When you go to ring out up your in for a rude awakening because it's probably full priced even if it's been sitting in that section for month. Staff is so so, some pleasant others plain out rude. Their system is always broken or malfunctioning so come get what you need and cross your fingers that everything and everyone might work that day.

The most ghetto store ever. Stuff is all over the place. Employees were in the aisle smelling like weed and eating chicken off plates they sat on the shelves while blocking the way talking about their personal business.

Their staff is friendly but the store is always Very messy, some isle are blocked with boxes and carts, you can't even go through, sad cause I really like Dollar General.

I was there yesterday working on the remodel . The place is infested with rats and mice . Everyone who has ever bought food there should know . The remodel is one thing . The infestation is another . The place is unhealthy and no one should buy food there .

Don't ask for Cashback, just punch it in, I've called the District Manager on several occasions and they still don't honor cash back if they know you want it!!!!! Barbour St store so far, Hartford Ct
