I met Christina a few months ago when I visited Petco to inquire what to do with my two Angel Fish that have outgrown my 15 gallon tank. Within minutes of speaking with her I knew that she was someone who loved her job. She spoke well and took her time explain a few things to me. I purchased some new fish and I was on my way.The next trip to Petco I was looking at a few more fish but really wanted to have a bigger tank. I ended up putting up a 55 gallon that I had home. She told me exactly what to do with making sure it was clean without chemicals. She explained to me how to cycle the tank and what was involved. Again she knew what she was talking about. I followed all of her advice. I am happy to say that I have a beautiful and healthy 55 gallon tank. I made sure that this time I did everything by the rules. She explained to me that sometimes people get excited about a new tank and want to stock it with fish before its ready. The fish end up dying. I am very fortunate to have her working at the Petco in my town. Her Customer Service is EXCELLENT. You can ask her anything and if she doesn’t know she will find out and follow up with you. I would suggest that you definitely go and see her. She will guide you in the right direction. Just when I thought that customer service was nonexistent, I met Christina and she changed my mind. Thank you do much for everything. My dog even enjoys watching the fish.

I had a horrible experience the first time having my puppy groomed here, but decided to give them another chance after contacting customer service and receiving additional assistance. The customer service team was very apologetic and scheduled the new grooming appointment with Dylan. I’m so happy with the results. Dylan provided exactly what I wanted and it is so appreciated.

Made the appointment months ahead. They cancelled my appointment like hours before my appointment.It’s very annoying and disappointing that there was no options given to me. She nonchalantly said that the groomer had car problems and we have to canceled your appointment. Moreover she said it’s raining.There was no attempt to reschedule nor compensation of getting another groomer to pick up the appointment.She can’t be bothered by my response and just wanted to hang up the phone cause she doesn’t want to deal with issue.There was no empathy towards this and she should know that it takes months to book an appointment and the least she could do is give me options than saying NO to everything.It’s very disrespectful of my time and I hope people learn to be more mindful of others people time.I would never Recommend their service.No stars ⭐️ f I could rate this service at Hamden Petco

Cathy p was a terrible groomer. She was with our pup less than 30 minutes and said that our dog was giving her trouble. Sounds strange knowing our dog is curious and still when grooming has to be done. She complained to the manager when she should be apologizing to us. DONT NOT BOOK WITH CATHY P IF YOU WANT YOUR DOG TO BE GROOMED.

Dylan was great. Made my pup feel very safe and at ease, he’s a very anxious dog and he’s a squirmer. Dylan was able to ease him and trim and buff all his nails with no issues!

Front employees giving treats to dogs without owners' permission.This could go very bad very quickly.Train employees to ask before giving treats.Dogs can have bad allergic reactions just like we can. :c

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I am a first time cat mom and had no clue where to even start. I wanted to be as prepared as possible to bring her home and be comfortable. One of the employees walked me through every aisle and helped me select everything I could've needed. I was super nervous when I walked in and left feeling ready and excited to go pick up my cat. You always have Fresh Pet in stock unlike many other stores who carry the brand. I love that Oreo is continuing to get the food that he enjoys the most. We all can't control manufacturing timeliness and availability of products, but I have been very happy with how Petco has somehow kept this brand available. Keep up the great work!

Always friendly always helpful. Sage assisted me today on some shampoo and treats and explained some the differences with what I wanted and needed. Really appreciated her help and very professional. Loved seeing the north shore animal league there as well . Wish I could take all them home !

Oh boy. Went with a friend for grooming her 6 mo old puppy. You can see the clipper and scissor marks. So uneven and her poor butt is bald. This was the first time she was ever groomed. This puppy was not matted or knotted at all so not sure why she took her hair all the way down. And didn't clean her face? The 2 managers offered to help as they noticed the job that was done. Nice staff and store, but wouldn't recommend the grooming, at least on a Yorkie. I used them in the past for my husky and it was great. Maybe it depends on the breed?
