Finally got to come here with our own kyaks!! Dan is awesome, we didn't think we had cash to buy minnows and he just said make it right next time you come no problem! We are thankful for his kindness and we found some cash in the car so we were able to square away same day. Just his thoughtfulness was so great. The food is good and his prices are great. Its our favorite place to come, the lake is huge and always catch something. Dan is a great guy and the people hanging around are just as nice. Cant wait to go back soon!!

Lakeside Dan is a skilled and knowledgeable guide with a heart of gold.. recently we booked a 4-hour fishing tour of the Moodus reservoir with a group of six people and largely thanks to Dan is became one of my most memorable outdoors experiences (speaking as someone with happy memories of 50+ camping and 50+ fishing trips).. first of all the lake is extraordinarily beautiful with water so clean you can get clear views of all the lake-bed vegetation (i.e. where the bass be hiding out).. Dan showed us all the spots and taught us all the tricks for luring the fish out of those spots, and meticulously made rounds to everyone in our group to make sure everyone learned the skills they needed to capitalize on his guidance (which for me included a private lesson on the proper use of a baitcasting reel).. second of all he's full of stories and has that disarming attitude that just makes everyone feel immediately comfortable.. in the end he was so determined to stay out on the water until everyone caught a fish, that we ended up going 1.5 hours overtime at no cost.. when we got back to shore it genuinely seemed like nobody wanted it to be over.. thanks Dan for a most memorable birthday weekend!

The friendliest people, and truly fantastic fishing and scenery. So much fun to boat and kayak here. Dan also serves up the BEST food around (get the eggs and hash sandwich for breakfast and the loaded 'Spud Lunker' for lunch- trust me!)

I took my daughter there. Dan was very knowledgeable about fishing to say the least and he introduced my daughter to fishing. Rented a row boat, some bait and some poles. The lake was beautiful too!

Lake side dans a hidden gem I highly recommend stopping by they offer rental boats ,tackle ,live bait ,and also have hot dogs and burgers .
