I adopted my new baby, Wesley (former name Loki). He’s a GP mix. We love him so much. Thank you Janine and Martha for making the process so easy and simple for our family. Their communication is spot on. Always available to help and answer any questions you have. We love our new pup. He’s doing so so WELL and loves our other pets. My husband and I were having a hard time finding a medium size dog from CT that was cat friendly and I’m so grateful I found this rescue. Wesley loves his new home!I highly recommend CALDR!! 🐾

I have adopted the very best little pup from Change A Life Dog Rescue. They really listened to what I was looking for in my furry friend and found a perfect match. They were thorough in their review and clearly were concerned about finding the right home but also in making sure we would be a good personality fit. The process is thorough but when I told them I might have another opportunity to meet a different pup, they accelerated my request and got it done. I get they genuinely cared for the dogs under their organization. They were very accommodating through the adoption as I was some distance from the foster. Her foster mom even met me halfway on pick-up day. Ellie is healthy and loving and has settle right in. All of which I attribute to the organization which clearly chooses the very best fosters available. Little Ellie has become like my shadow and I anticipate many great adventures together. Change a Life Dog Rescue changed my life as much as hers!

Change a Life Dog Rescue is such an amazing group of people. They care so much about the dogs they rescue and take great care on who they place them with. Their volunteers are amazing to work with. From the screening process to placement, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience when adopting my Lilo!

We got our dog, Charlie, from this rescue and he is the absolute best dog we’ve had. The only problem is when people watch him they don’t want to give him back! Janice was great to work with. Highly recommend.

I adopted my puppy Cheetah- she is a great addition and has been wonderful with my children and cats. The foster mom was easy to coordinate with and the process was thorough, as can be expected.

Woman on the phone was rude and gave attitude. Not exactly what I’m looking for when trying to rescue a dog. Doesn’t make me feel like you have any patience with animals if you can’t even handle a phone call.
