My Mother lived 20 minutes away from me, and I had a new energetic untrained puppy at home - that could not join me at my Mothers home. At times, I had a challenging situation to say the least. *Furbabies are our children too..WHICH IS WHY.... it gives me great happiness to share my STELLAR 🐾 EXPERIENCE with The Metro Pooch Guilford - A State of the Heart Canine Enrichment Center, owned & operated by Guilford resident, Kristen Delea-Sacco. I NEVER EVER would had been able to had spent the amount of time I did with my Mother, had it not been for Kristen/MetroPooch. Kristen, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help with Pheobe..Puppy-School, Daycare, Boarding ➡️ this state of the art K9 facility was designed ground up with SAFTY & SECURITY in mind, LOVE for fur-babies, catering to each and every need... studying K9 psychology, training behaviors... leading with pack•LOVE and a gentle•lead..The high-end, super CLEAN luxury boarding suites sealed the deal for me to “try” boarding... dogs are not kept in a traditional metal crate, isolated... they are in a climate controlled room with plexiglass so they can see and hear what’s going on, listening to piped in music, dog-cams spying 😉, and let’s not forget they SOCIALIZE the majority of their stay in daycare 7-days a week, 24/7/365!!.ALL of the staff I have encountered represent high-energy dog loving staff, who KNOW + CARE FOR each of their K•9 guest. The team at MP takes great care of my pup. My dog always is happy upon arrival and departure weather she’s going in for a groom or being dropped off to play with the pack. I also appreciate that they send out communication to update their pack parents on current events that could affect availability.

We reluctantly boarded our puppy while traveling and were so happy with the whole experience. The staff at Metro Pooch helped ease Bagel (and us) in with several visits prior to our trip and gave her plenty of attention and love while we were gone - even texted pictures and videos on request! We love that Bagel got lots of social time with other dogs, too. Since our return, we've taken her back for some daycare and puppy playtime, and to our delight she was every bit as excited to be back there as the staff were to see her again!

We will never take our pup anywhere else! It’s so hard to drop your pet off and hope for the best but Metropooch completely eliminates our fears! They recognize both our dog and us every time we walk in and his excitement when we arrive is everything to us. Highly recommend to anyone!

Professional, attentive, competent, and warmhearted...only START to describe the staff and management of The Metro Pooch.We recently boarded Lily, our 2 year old Shorkie for a two night stay. We met with the staff a day before dropping her off so that they could perform and monitor a temperament test, where she would be introduced to other similarly sized dogs for two hours. She played well with the pack and came home exhausted.We dropped her off the next day and expected the feel sad about parting with our pup for the first time, but when we walked in the sounds and smells of the other dogs made her eager to get going. We never had to feel apart from our pooch as we were able to monitor her on the ODoggy app...GREAT touch. We paid for a full grooming during her stay and Lily came home looking fabulous. We highly recommend The Metro Pooch and are 100% sure that we would board her here again.

Please. How do you give something your dog loves so much a rating? Impossible. 1 million stars. They are easy to communicate with and know our dog by name. He is part of the Metro Pooch pack. He loves to board overnight and always comes back as happy as a clam.If you have a well trained dog then this is the place for you.Pros: clean, bright, location, careCons: pricey, grooming staff influxOverall, I will recommend them over to any true dog lover.

This place is amazing! First impressions make a huge difference. Just driving up to Metro Pooch I was completely blown away. The staff is beyond great. They know every dog that walks in there and the dogs were so excited to see them and be there. The atmosphere is unbelievable... I wanted to stay for a week myself. Very very neat, clean, spacious, organized and entirely catered to the pooches! 😁 The owner is awesome. Very personable and willing to go the extra mile for you and you fur babies. Nothing but great things to say. Price as far as I'm concerned is irrelevant. You get what you pay for. This place is worth every single penny! Your babies will be safe, comfortable and loved and you will have no worries at all.

Place is great. Marianne the head trainer was especially fantastic finding the charge that was first quoted was actually $120 cheaper for the 3 night stay. We were happy at the higher rate as there was a bit of anxiety during drop off and Metro Pooch stated she will need a more expensive private room, may not be allowed to socialize with other dogs. But after a bit of time, that was not the case and our little sheltie did just fine.Thank you Marianne and MP for the great stay and service.

This place is hands down the best dog boarding/day care facility I have been to. From the moment you walk in being greeted by amazing friendly staff that clearly love what they do, to pick up when that same outstanding staff wishes your pup a heartfelt goodbye. Aside from the warm people who work here the place is incredibly clean and tidy. It's nice to know they take as good care of the facility as they do my mutts!There is so much good energy in this place and both my dogs love their day care time here. Aside from the dogs getting some amazing play time when we are at work, we get tuckered out pooches at home in the evening! Can't say enough good about this place, highly recommended!

What a great doggie daycare facility! My 5 month old golden retriever LOVES going to their puppy daycare on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. So much so that he runs right in and forgets I exist when I drop him off! The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean and top notch! I highly recommend bringing your pup to Metro Pooch!

I cannot say enough good things about the Metro Pooch. I took my dog to get groomed and she is very large and a total fluff ball, so it took a while. She was perfect when I picked her up and smelled so good. I highly recommend Emmaly.

Really disappointed that after our meet and greet the trainer offered to come to our house. She charged us $150 for a 45 minute session. We had no idea how much it was as the trainer didn’t offer that prior to the visit. It showed up on our account and that’s how we found out. No way would we have agreed to that price. It’s not listed anywhere on the website

My dog loves The Metro Pooch and I love the staff for taking such good care of him. Yam was a shy and fearful dog, but attendance at doggie daycare has really helped him out of his shell. The staff greets him by name upon his arrival, even if it has been weeks since he was last there. If he stays overnight we are able to watch him via webcam and make sure he is comfortable. Very happy with their service.

We are so grateful to Metro Pooch for the excellent care they provide for our two dogs, one a lab mix and the other a terrier mix. I think one of the greatest signs of a good overnight boarding place is when the dogs come home and they act like their normal selves (albeit extra tired). The staff at Metro Pooch is always happy to give us an update on our girls, and follow our feeding guidelines and instructions for how they sleep. We couldn't be happier with the quality of care, attention to the health and wellbeing of the dogs, and warmth of the staff. Thank you!

Liked the staff I met and my puppy had a few good experiences i think, but i’m just uncomfortable leaving my dog there until the cameras are up and running. Since Metro Pooch opened in 2020 they said they were installing cameras, and they still have not.

Its comforting to know that they are safe and having a great time while I am away. Great business! and great community supporter! You're crazy to take your dog anywhere else. These people are amazing. The girls are friendly and adore my dog. I religiously check the cameras throughout the day and have never seen questionable behavior. My dog will run up to the caretakers (always two with them at all times) and they will always show affection to him.The owner is dedicated and really knows her stuff. We signed Mac up for school and learned so much. I can't give this place any higher praise. This facility is truly amazing and has made mine and my partner's life so much easier.

I have been bring my pup to Metro Pooch for 4 years. My dog LOVES this place ... about 1 mile down the road he gets very happy and "wiggly" because we are going to ""puppy camp". I love this place because the Metro Pooch team is amazing at what they do ... they are (of course) incredible with the dogs ... it is obvious that they work here because of their love for all things dogs. They are professional in every way and make you feel really comfortable as an owner leaving your dog in their care (both short term and long term ... as I have done many times) ... they pay attention to detail when it comes to your dogs special diet, meds, etc. Lastly, this team is clearly well trained in working with a pack of dogs ... they are well educated and really know about animal behavior ... this ensures that your dog is not only pampered, but safe when in their care. They stand behind their contract but don't always use good judgement when it comes to ensuring safe play for the pups whose care they are entrusted with. We witnessed their exchange with some pet owners and the owners had good points to which metro pooch kept citing their contract. They were more worried about a lawsuit than about the injury yo the pup!We will never bring our pups there again! Consider other options before using this place- even alone in an overheated parked car would be a better option!
