The item that I wanted was out of stock which is not uncommon at this location. When I went to the register to purchase the alternate items that I selected, none of the registers were staffed. I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to notice that a line was forming. Once at the register, the employee spent a few minutes logging on to register.

I received an email from Petco, telling me that I can fill my dogs prescription for Bravecto Chews for dogs 22-44 lbs, 3 month supply, (one pill) for $49.69. SKU 2974221. When I went to order it, the order could not be completed. I spent an hour with Wendy, on live chat, and still could not complete the order. Very disappointed, and a huge waste of time.

I ordered the cat food online and picked it up at the store. This is a great option. Curbside pickup is also available. The person who waited on me was very pleasant and helpful.

This store charges more than the Milford Petco so I think I'll continue shopping there. However the woman who checked me out was very pleasant and professional as all Petco employees I've bought from.

Brought my mini Aussie for grooming at the Guilford petco. This was his second time ever. We had Kimberly as our groomer both times. She was great. She completely understood the needs of Echo especially when it was his first time and she was very patient and caring with him. She made him calm and comfortable and got him used to the equipment in a positive manner. She always gives him a great cut. Aussies have an undercoat that needs to be maintained a certain way to protect his coat and she always does a wonderful job. He comes out of there smelling like a vanilla milkshake Everytime. I would highly recommend Kimberly if you are bringing your pet here!

It was bad for me to get a new pet because it was permanently closed not reopened and temporarily closed and it moved to a new location and I used to work at the Middletown Petco I moved to newington

Staff Saw me wandering and asking myself questions, no one bothered to help. No one asked me questions, no one made eye contact. I finally found 1 of things I wanted, but it was labeled wrong. I bought a combo pack of mealworms for a dragon, which on the packaging said 100ct worms, but on the bin said 50ct. I was planning on coming in to tell someone, but haven't yet

My golden retriever was basically shaved down. Golden retrievers depend on long hair for temperature control. I discussed with the groomer how I wanted it cut. When I arrived to pick up my dog, she said sorry I had to cut it very short because the fur was patchy. NOT HAPPY.

My card was hacked last night at 8pm at THIS STORE! For $127.59!! I live in NC and my card was charged here in CT! I’m wondering how was my card info able to be used when my card was physically with me STATES away! This store lets fraud go on. Then i spoke to customer service who is giving me the run around about getting a refund. This company is whole scam. They let people use your information for fraudulent charges then when you request your money back they hang up on you and disrespect you.

Very friendly employees. The fish tanks were very clean along with all the other animals they sell all the cages were clean. Can be a bit pricey depending what you get. You get high quality food but you can't get regular food for your animals. Example they don't sell nine lives or friskies. They sell better quality stuff but it's more expensive

The store is located in an easy to get to area. It’s on the Boston Post Road and close to I-95. The store was well stocked and clean. Obviously it’s also dog friendly. Plenty of parking available. It’s located in a small shopping center that has a grocery store, Ulta, Michaels, Panera Bread etc.

Third shot at getting a harness for my pup. Miss lead on two at north of $40 with no returns. Third try got one. Not ready to return. I could have spent less on line with the same result. At least a shelter will benefit from the gift of harnesses.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Products are easy to find. I had a back problem and the largest sizes of the Royal Canin food are difficult for me to lift. The staff is very gracious about helping me get them to my cart and then out to my car.

As far as the website is concerned, don't bother, it's a frustrating pain.The store layout makes shopping for the little guy easy. Although there should be more of a selection of pet stairs. The manager does a great job, and it's obvious her crew respect her. The crew and grooming are always friendly, courteous, and always available.

Super easy and quick when you order online and don't have time to go to shop. The customer service was very, very good and they store employees were so professional and helpful. First time ordering or going to the Guilford CT location due to we just adopted two kittens. I told them all I will be coming back. Very clean and they observe all the covid precautions very, very well.

The store is in a convenient location. I normally love going into Petco for supplies and a positive fun experience, to buy supplies for my pets.I’m sad to say, I do not enjoy going in this one, because some of the staff are not friendly or willing to assist. The Manager is very rude and unfriendly.The store has boxes or debris of some kind that are not put away. Supplies are limited.Not a welcoming environment.

"save your time and patience" attempted to buy a set of $100 dollar clippers for my dog. The groomer was helpful in guild us in the right direction which set are reliable. Down side is we where not able make our purchase when trying to buy online to save 15% off and pick up in store while at the store. When attempting to ask the manager in charge if the check out screen was correct to submit on our phone. She stated i will be right back and continued to hang price tags and left us stand at the counter. Needles to say we left empty handed as easier to shop from home.

The ladies room was disgusting. There was long hair (some tinted purple) stuck on the walls and sink. There were balls of hair (from cleaning a hairbrush?) on the floor. Used paper towels on the floor. Other than that, the store and experience were fine.

My dog, Irie, had a grooming appointment scheduled for noon at the Guilford CT Petco location. I was told she should be ready around 4. I showed up around 430 just checking to see if she was ready and mentioned if she’s not it’s ok as I was out running errands. The woman stated she will check. As I looked over through the glass I saw another dog being groomed. The woman brought my dog over put her on the same table with the other dog. I watched the other groomer shave the stomach and back of my Dog quickly and they brought her out. I questioned why she was so choppy and not even. The hair on her snout was crooked and not even. The woman continued to talk about how cute the dog was and ignored my questions. She told me the total and I question that she stated they brushed her teeth but I did not request brushing. My dog’s tail was not groomed as there are still parts that are matted. Her face is completely uneven, her ears were not trimmed and she has a bald patch right on her Chest. I will no longer send my dog back to this location as they did a terrible job and did not acknowledge my concerns.

After being unable to get an appointment with "top notch groomers" who had no time available for my large Shiloh Shepherd with Degenerative Myelopathy, the same condition in humans is called ALS, I decided to try PetCo in Guilford. The two young ladies offered advice as well as listened to mine. Not everyone is familiar with Shiloh Shepherds, especially with DM. These two will go a long way in this field. Caring and gentle. You go girls!!!

only 1-2 employees work at once, online inventory varies from what store has. workers are nice & not their fault for staffing limitations but it kills the experience
