I was in search of an e-bike for my wife. Bax Cycles asked about the type of rider that she was and the types of roads she wanted to ride on. They recommended a couple of different makes/models and encouraged a demo ride. They adjusted the bike to make sure it fit her correctly and was comfortable. After the demo ride, she fell in love with the Liv Rove E+ by Giant. So happy that Bax Cycle is in the Cos Cob area. It's the perfect family bike shop and can address all everyday bike needs such as fixing flats (usually right on the spot). Also a great selection of kids' bikes and mountain bikes. They also have a well-attended group ride on Thursday evenings during the spring/summer/fall.

I had a fantastic experience at Bax Cycles bike shop earlier today! The staff were incredibly patient and courteous as they helped me fix my rear brake and adjust my seat. They completed the repairs in a timely manner, which I really appreciated. The team at this bike shop clearly takes pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of service they provide. So I walked into Bax cycles the other day and was greeted by this beautiful golden blonde, didn’t catch the retrievers name, but John (owner) was super helpful. My front brake was locked up and John not only immediately fixed it, but he also taught me how to remedy the problem. No need to look anywhere else for a bike shop, I found my guy!!

Outstanding Neighborhood Bike Shop - I went to Bax Cycles today with my family to pick out a new bike for my wife. My kids are in love with the store and couldn't get enough time with Molly the store "Greeter". (She's an affectionate Golden Retriever). I had a flat tire on my Giant Road bike that John immediately repaired. My wife decided on a beautiful "Liv" bike that is designed by women and engineered for women (John was very informative). My wife and kids also each got a new helmet. Bax Cycles had a great selection with friendly and responsive service. I also brought my son's bike over to be serviced for the season, by their mechanic. I had a great experience at Bax Cycles and I'm happy to know such a great shop is in my neighborhood and close to the Mianus River Park.

My initial visit was unbelievably kind. I showed up requesting help removing my bike rack - sounds simple. The owner literally went under the car to see where the problem was, and WD-40 and an hour of prying, finally rack was removed.That was my first experience months ago and every subsequent visit has been phenomenal. Way to go Bax!

I’m a physical therapist and my patient’s walker brakes needed to be tightened. She didn’t have the tools I needed so I brought her rollator to Jon at Bax Cycles. He fixed the brakes for me while I waited! It was such a huge help so that my sweet elderly lady would be safe. Thank you so much for going above and beyond!

I am biased. Let’s start there. I have known this location and the owner for 15+ years. But I went to bike shop today and it looks fantastic. Bikes are in stock. Helmets. Check. Shoes. Check. Arriving with a flat back tire on a bicycle that appeared not to have a regular inner tube size, they looked at it immediately, went searching for it and ended up finding one in the basement, fixed it having to use some muscle power with a smile, and had me back riding my bike, great friendly service!
