Pharmacy closed on a Saturday! Employees stated the pharmacist couldn’t come in for unknown reasons. No backup technician was available to distribute filled prescriptions either. This is absolutely absurd. This pharmacy has flagrant disregard of regulations, should be closed and replaced by another company. This is only one of the numerous issues with this pharmacy I have experienced in a short time.

Not sure what the deal is with this place. Your prescription is ready and you get there and it’s not. So you wait on the side. Pharmacist drops a bag off at the register and the pharmacist at the register doesn’t look at it and only puts it back on shelf behind. No one says a word and you wait on the side. Line gets big so you wait in line again only to find out that was indeed your prescription. They need to find a better system. And also not sure why this place is like the DMV where they treat customers like they are idiots. If a prescription rings up as $500 or $1000 when it has been $10 for 10 years, I think we know it’s wrong. We are nice about it but we’re given an attitude.

I left this pharmacy after 7 years about a month ago because the pharmacy techs are rude. This one last time the tech went over the line by cutting me off when I said I’d wait for the prescription I needed before they closed. I was scolded about them being short staffed and nobody was there to fill it and they close in an hour. Long story short, after asking if it would be helpful if I transferred it to another CVS and was met with more rudeness she began to cry. The pharmacist had to come up to just say “no problem you can wait”.I switched to the Main Street pharmacy in Farmington but accidentally had one sent to Unionville. I went at about 1p yesterday and the entire tech staff was all new faces, but it could just be day time shirt.I hope they are finally getting it together with staffing. I will check periodically because it is so much more convenient for me. Let’s hope.

It’s kind of amusing to me to read all these bad reviews. I literally live a block away from the Unionville CVS, but I drive all the way to a Bristol CVS because the Unionville one is so bad. It’s such a hassle and stupidly miserable experience I avoid Unionville at all costs. Everything other reviewers mentioned—very poor efficiency, very long wait times, rude techs—I have experienced as well. It’s even worse that whoever manages this location must know by now how bad the reviews are, but nothing has changed. I guess they don’t care. The customer service is a reflection of that.

It bothers me to openly complain about the attitudes of most the employees at the CVS Unionville, but I must agree with the majority. The "long timers" in the pharmacy especially are miserable. They are not friendly, actually rude, sign and roll their eyes when a question is asked. And God forbid you ask for clarification for something. If you're that miserable get out. They complain that they are "short staffed"....I told the clerk they are always short staffed I appreciate that but don't take it out on a 40 year customer and others. People are picking up prescriptions which is nerve wracking enough and I will not deal with rudeness any longer. What is management doing about this? I will be changing over to a mail delivery (it must be bad for me to complain as my previous employment and present part time employment is representing workers). Customer service in the pharmacy (my personal experiences) is totally lacking.

I like this pharmacy. Cashiers may sometimes be a little abrupt. But I think it is more cultural differences than rudeness. And I love the pharmacist, the lady. Unfortunately, I don't know her name. She worked at this pharmacy since I moved to Unionville more than ten years ago. She is always nice, efficient, and prompt with answers.

My family has been filling prescriptions at this CVS since we moved to Unionville in 2001. Unfortunately, the service at this CVS has gone to hell and we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. The convenient location is no longer worth dealing with rude staff, long wait times and overall poor service. Good riddance.

There’s been so many instances of the pharmacy techs being rude and condescending. The pharmacists are great and very helpful when you get a chance to speak with them, unfortunately most of your interactions are with the techs. You feel as if you’re bothering them by picking up medication. A perfect example was when my son was 1, he was getting ear infections every month so we were always at the pharmacy. His antibiotic was a 14 day dose, but the medication expired after 10 days. The pediatrician called in 2 bottles: one for the first 10 days and one for the last 4 days. After 10 days my wife went back to get the second bottle and without checking they told her they didn’t have it and we needed to call the doctor to have them call it in. She called the doctor and was told they called in 2 initially. I went back later that day to get the 2nd bottle but was told the same thing and the tech was clearly annoyed at me for even coming back. After some back and forth of me saying I’m positive it’s here and her saying it’s not and I’m wrong, the pharmacist overhears and interjects and tells me the 2nd bottle is sitting right in the back ready to get mixed and it’s been here since the initial prescription was called in. Of course no accountability or apology from the tech for making us jump through hoops to find the missing medication sitting right next to her. Just one of unfortunately many examples of their terrible communication and customer service.

Go anywhere else. They will close the gate in your face so the entire staff can go to lunch. I arrived 2 days late for my Rx (on purpose) and they still did not have it filled, they told me "it'll be ready after the break". When told that I needed to take my medication I had a metal gate come down and they ALL went to lunch. Also the customer in front of me was told to Not use a discount coupon, even though it was valid and present. Nobody cares anymore, it's disappointing.

Pharmacy cashiers very unfriendly, borderline rude. Came here specifically to leave this review after just picking up a prescription and see that there are many other reviews saying the same. But this is not the first time I've experienced this there, and it's not limited to one cashier (though they are not all like that, I go there often and I would say 80% are not very friendly). Good to know it's not just me I guess.

I see how hard the pharmacy staff work. They are usually understaffed and very busy. They have always been nice to me and I've been patient with them. It takes 2 minutes or 20 minutes explaining things to people including the elderly. Give them a break.

WOW are the reviews of the pharmacy here bad! I have used this location for 2 years now. Ive never had any issues with the techs or staff. I always get my prescriptions refilled before hand and/or confirm its ready before I go, so when I arrive, I know its ready. I have seen several customers who are rude or who have no clue whats going on. The only "issue" I've had would be a long line or a mix up with my name (Mike vs Michael).As for the front of the store staff, they are SLOW. Have an issue at the self checkout? Forget it. I just move to the other self checkout otherwise you'll be waiting around 10 minutes.

Very rude and terrible pharmacist service !! Pharmacy cashiers are unprofessional! If I could give the staff “0,” I would!!! Rolling their eyes on costumes or yelling is not acceptable. I don't understand why management is not doing much about the issue. Why do we, as a customer have to switch the pharmacy because of their rudeness!!! Anyone from management seeing those reviews?!?!

Wish I could give no stars. After using this pharmacy almost my whole life I'll never send a script there again. Not only are they slow and take forever to fill scripts but they are straight up rude, like you are a complete inconvenience to them. Will make the longer trip to avoid this place.

Horrible every time and I keep thinking it’s the staff, must be the entire facility. Staff at pharmacy answered the phone in sing song voice as I’m trying to check the status of my prescription, asks me what time I’m coming instead of time of completion. Tell them that I can be there in 15. Says it will be ready in 15. I get there and the service worker tells me “you called?” Well it’s not ready so u can sit. What in the hell was that experience? I don’t even understand the rudeness when somebody is in massive wisdom tooth pain and is kindly approaching the desk why you would answer to customers so harshly! The only reason why they got the One star is due to the gentleman that checked us out that was super kind and respectful couldn’t get his name cause he didn’t have a name tag, but he is the only thing that’s good in that store.

I find the pharmacists and techs to be competent, professional and very helpful and friendly. My prescriptions have changed numerous times because of heart challenges, and they work well with me, explaining possible side effects and patiently answering my questions and responding to concerns. I am thankful they are there for me!

I don't understand why every interaction with cashier at this CVS is so hostile and rude. Last time cashier created argument out of nothing. Its like their job is to make customer upset. Seriously lacking customer service training. So many negative reviews.. not a a single response from CVS manager. No wonder why cashiers are so bad!

Be careful picking up your prescriptions here. At first I didn’t believe it when a couple of people shared how they got over charged on their prescriptions after they met their deductible on a facebook group page, until it happened to me. I got charged 5 times more than im supposed to be paying for my prescription after I met my deductible, i asked them why and all i got was “thats what we got after pulling it from your insurance” didnt even bother to look into it. I triple checked with my insurance and they said the pharmacy supposed to charge me that same price like the previous years, not charging the prescription 5 times more than what I’m supposed to be paying. Some one must have pulled the info incorrectly through the insurance to cause the over charge payment.Just make sure you check your prescription total, so you wont get ripped off

The pharmacist or tech Matt who checked me out at cvs in Unionville deserves a medal, a raise and could probably run a fortune 500 company. He single handedly checked out 6 waiting customers within 5 minutes. He was kind, professional, precise and efficient. He was working from 2 check out stations and everyone was amazed watching him work and help everyone. I did mention to him if he were to ever leave pharmacy, I would certainly hire him to help run my company.

This is our nearest CVS store and so go to place for all our pharmacy related need. We have been coming this CVS since last 8 years and wanted to write the review long back but was reluctant. Apart from few most of the staffs are rude here. Today finally I decided to provide my rating and comments as at Pharmacy we requested many times to update our insurance as that has been changed 6 months back, still they didn't took a moment to update and so we have to pay a lot from our pocket. Ridiculous experience at pharmacy.

Just switched away from this pharmacy. Terrible, rude customer service almost always. Today the pharmacy was closed for lunch until 2, understandable, but should be posted on their website or on the door. Meanwhile the women behind the metal gates were complaining about how much they hated working there, would quit in a minute and work at subway if they could, and were quite angry and disgusted that there were actually customers waiting to pick up their prescriptions and were dreading opening the gates. All loud enough to be sure that said customers heard them. The nerve of people needing to pick up medicine from a pharmacy when the website and door say their open! May be time to clean house.

I had disappointing experience in CVS photo. I sent my competition level photography picture to print. CVS sent the confirmation email that photo got printed and ready for pickup. I went there but employee explanation that order number was not in the system and the photo was never printed. Really!! Someone stole my beautiful nature portrait photograph from the store. Horrible experience.

My wife and I have both had horrible experiences with the pharmacy staff. The majority of them are rude and unprofessional. We were just picking up medicine, not making any crazy requests. We will not be returning to this CVS.

Rude pharmacy staff that act inconvenienced when asked a question by customers. I have never been treated so poorly for simply picking up my prescriptions. I have worked in busy pharmacies as a technician and never treated my customers poorly. I wish Walgreens was still in Unionville.

Poor ethics. When Walgreen closed next door all prescriptions were sold to this location. This is not a 'preferred' pharmacy on our plan, so they cost 10 times more than from a 'preferred' pharmacy. They held our prescriptions and would not release the refill authorizations to Wakgreens in Simsbury until we forced them to.Will never use CVS again, no matter where they are located.

Every time I come here I am blown away by how blatantly rude the pharmacy staff is! After I said hello to her twice (when she didn’t respond in any way the first time, I repeated myself, thinking she didn’t hear me), the pharmacy tech told me she’s not saying hello to customers because “she’s stressed”. Really?! WOW. This attitude is consistent every time I’ve had to use their pharmacy.
