First time shopping in Tri-town Foods and my last time. I was in meat section and I was unable to find ground chicken breast. I went up to the meat counter where 3 employees were standing around talking. Twice I tried to get their attention. Finally, I spoke to someone and they do not grind chicken breast for you. These employees have time to talk but not work. I ended up buying chicken because I drove up from Old Saybrook and I did not want to totally waste trip. When I went to check out lines - not one employee was at the registers. Again, employees were busy talking and I had to ask for help. There are no self serve checkout lines or I would have checked out myself. I like to support local businesses, and I am new to area, but I believe customer service is important.

I absolutely think that Tri-Town is the best market around this area. The products are of excellent quality and the store isn't overwhelming large. The staff is more than helpful, friendly, and professional. The staff are willing to help you find anything in the store. I absolutely love the ready made hot foods and the freshly chopped fresh fruit. Absolutely the best shopping experience for me. Keep up the great work that you do. Good to shop in a pinch but be careful I’ve come across a nice amount of products passed the expiration date still being sold on the shelves. Also, the smell inside is terrible and such a turn off to shop.

This place has the best meat around with competitive prices. You can usually find chicken here for around $1.00 a pound, which is almost unheard of, and it's from local farms too. If you're not sure exactly what you're looking for or how to cook it, they've got you covered for that too. Talk to any one of the butchers and they'll give you a great meal idea and some amazing recipes.

I'm only commenting on the state of the restroom, not on the grocery store as a whole. This is the most disgusting restroom I have ever seen in a grocery. The smells, the waste on the floor, the I don't know what on the walls, the graffiti, the the gross sinks and did I mention the smells? Completely unacceptable. The manager should be ashamed.

Small hometown grocer. Limited food options, BUT some very unique items.Ready made corn beef and cabbage and it is not St.Pats day? Also actual organic fresh.caught from the Sound, Scallops and white shrimp! Not a big box store quiet homey attention focus towards customer service.

Pricey but best meat locally over big chains. the deli is lousy now since the change from boarshead. Really poor quality produce. And best fresh bread around. So pick and choose like i do. They wont get my full business until they get it right.

Tri-Town is a great local market in East Lyme. They source all their food from local or domestic farms and businesses. Prices are actually pretty equivalent to Stop and Shop which is not an American owned corporation. Their one issue is the produce can age fast. Otherwise, they absolutely have the very best deli/meats in the area. The dept can accommodate you with ANYTHING you need and they have the freshest meat around. I love supporting Tri-Town fully knowing it supports our domestic farms and families. Give them a try.

This place is part Gourmet Market and part very small town IGA Market. It's a funny mix at times, but I do recommend it. They have phenomenal prepared foods, and a good sushi chef if you don't mind grocery store sushi.

Go to market for the best prices and quality of fresh seafood and fish. The quality of meats and poultry is the best on the Shoreline. Don't pass up there truck load sales. Must go if you haven't been before.

Nice produce, enjoy their bakery cookies, and their sushi. They have a good selection of meats and seafood. Also, the sushi counter has a great selection of sushi, some soysauce, and there are chop sticks there.

Clean nicely layed out store with friendly helpful staff and easy to get to right off the highway with McDonalds next door.Give the kids a quick burger and then grocery shop so there not asking for everything they see or repeating how hungry they are !
