I have been coming to this vet since January. I had originally had a great review for them five stars but that has changed. Every time I went to an appointment I would have to wait for 10 minutes in the lobby to be seen and even more time after that for the main veterinarian to see my dog. When I called to say I would be a little late they told me there was a 15 minute grace period. I had a second appointment and was sitting in standstill traffic on the highway, and I said I will be 10 minutes late and they said the grace period does not apply on this day. I will never be bringing my dog back, they are very unprofessional. For those who need to work 9 to 5 this is not the vet for you as you will be severely inconvenienced.

Goodfriends vet, Dr. Dinwoodie and staff, are caring and very responsive . I bring all my animals there and have had many emergencies and when I call them, whether getting ready to close or not open yet, they said come down now we will see you. And I am so grateful for them and their kindness. I highly recommend Goodfriends .

It pains me to write this as I was a huge fan of Goodfriends in the past. Between my father and I we bring 4 dogs and 1 cat to them for care. However, since Dr. Beebe retired from the practice, it has gone downhill in both professionalism and care as you may see in posts elsewhere.We recently brought our puppy in for a routine annual appointment. While there, we asked them to look at our dogs paw as there was a red bump and she was limping. Upon picking our dog up, we were told the doctor didn’t see anything and to just keep an eye on it. The bump and limping was clear to the human eye but, we figured as a vet, we would trust her professional judgment.Days went by and the bump got bigger and the limping got worse. We called the vet and asked to talk to the doctor and be seen again. The receptionist was unprofessional and extremely rude. Her tone of voice was very condescending and frankly, it was miserable dealing with her.One week from the day of our puppy being seen, her paw had gotten so bad that we called a new vet and made an emergency appointment as we figured Goodfriends wouldn’t give us the care our dog needed. Turns out, our dog has a severe deep skin infection on her paw that needed medical treatment. She’s now on 4 medications. Seems there truly was something going on, but the doctor didn’t spend the necessary time looking at it. This isn’t surprising though, as visits to Goodfriends are rushed and expensive.I can’t stress this enough: please think about the care you are receiving at good friends and the respect (or lack thereof) they provide you with.We have pulled all 5 animals out of this practice and moved to a new vet that provides a thorough, attentive and kind environment for animals and owners.

They are professional and always make time. We like Dr. Campbell (new to Good Friends.) We trust them with "the boys." When we first started going to them several years ago, their prices were better than most; however, they're not as reasonably priced as they used to be... but we trust Good Friends.

Best vet in the area! Look no further. Strongly recommend to anyone. Dr. Jennifer Dinwoodie went above and beyond on a Saturday (her day off nonetheless) to help us tremendously & immediately with our dog who was very sick and needed urgent care for a very bad, worsening mast cell tumor on her leg. She is incredibly professional and compassionate. We are so grateful and strongly encourage you to bring your pets here. No-brainer for us going forward.

It is expensive, like any vet, but we have found that all the doctors and staff and very kind and understanding, as well as knowledgeable and realistic. They keep track of my two dogs' history and remind us when things are due. They seem to have optimum health in mind for my furry family members.

Very overpriced. They charge you extra just to clip your dog's toenails during a yearly checkup, which I thought was excessive. They also have a policy of taking your dog in the back without you, which makes me very uncomfortable. We decided to look elsewhere.

I took my dog here since she was a pup. Since Dr. Beebe took it over it has gone down hill. He is condescending when he talks to you and the prices are ridiculous. My dog is 10 years old and I have had to pull her out. No wonder the assistant vets keep leaving. Otherwise the general staff is good. I recommend Four Paws in Mystic.

We recently moved to the area and my 14 year old cat became very ill. Dr. Dinwoodie and her staff were very kind, gentle and caring to both my cat and my husband & I. In the past my cat has been very fearful of the vet, but he remained calm because of the caring demeanor of both Dr. Dinwoodie and her assistant. The pricing was reasonable and I will definitely return to this practice. If I could give 6 stars, I would!

We took our dogs here for vaccinations. It cost ~$300 a piece. I’m used to much cheaper prices. Maybe it’s the state average? The service and staff were kind and considerate however l just can’t afford to be overcharged for care.

We took our dog Rico here and he has skin issues they got him fixed up with meds and special shampoo and the vet and all the employees were super nice

Very nice people, although any visit is expensive for us. (80 for any reason) wonderful treatment. My scaredy cat dog puts up with them, and that's saying something, as he is paralyzed by pretty much everything.

A local police chief and friend of mine asked to bring in his puppy for the doctor to take a quick look at his bleeding ear close to closing time.The doctor would not stay open 15 more minutes or even come to the phone to offer some advice.That’s not the kind of vet I want taking care of my dog.

Do not take your pet here!This place was awesome until Dr. Beebe retired and sold it. Due to the new owner's inability to read an x-ray, my cat is now in critical condition at Pieper Memorial. When I called Goodfriends to tell them they did not even care. No apology, nothing. Their only response was "ok".Do yourself and your pets a favor and go to one of the many other qualified vets in our area.

Pretty sad that this is the only vet in the state that doesn’t check for a microchip when people say the dog was abandoned. And I know for a fact the contact information is made available to the vets to contact the proper owner. I wouldn’t send your pets here. This vet will help people steal animals from their rightful owners.
