Place is Unorganized, staff is horrible. Service is horrible. 10 - 15 to check out in average. Self checkout is always un operable.Garbage all over parking lot.Nothing in stock, if its is good luck finding it, place is chaos.Totally ghettoBetter off paying more $$ at stop n shop. So much less aggravation.

I will tell you that this place has done a total 180°turn for the better. It all starts with management and trickles down to the bottom wrung. I am truly impressed with the customer service and how clean the store amhas become. Thank you GD for doing a good job. You all deserve a raise. Larry is a very good manager!

Tried to buy 2 for $5 cereals but the register didn't take the promo. Employee/supervisor said: "That's how it is, coupons are weird sometimes. You have to get two of the same" (I've made sure I read the price/conditions in the aisle).She din't try to fix or to workaround the coupon. She was rushing changing cashiers and receiving merchandise since nearby employee was clocking out.Left the store empty handed.

Unorganized as always! I know DG are usually unorganized but this place is dark, not well lit inside and shelves are always empty and stock is just sitting there waiting to be put away. I applied for a PT position and didn't get hired. I would have had that place organized quickly! Sometimes I want to volunteer lol for the sake of faithful customers like me and many others. Staff can be rude and stuff marked on sale doesn't ring up! Then they won't even check! Sale price 3/12 packs for 9.99 came up to $18.00 and she told me it was the bottle return deposit. Lol do the math!

Prices are great on some items , but other items are way overpriced. The Hamden location on State St is always FILTHY!!!There's so many things priced wrong!!I often wonder if they have a manager in this location!!! Good as a quick run in store.

This is the most filthy store I have ever seen in my life, every isle had carts of merchandise in them, I couldn't even walk around the store. It is a safety hazard .doe's anybody in this company even care about their business?

Lol got the worst customer service today. Ordered online for the first time, went to pick it up … didn’t get all my items and felt rushed out the door. When I asked her what do I do she said IDK.. lol how do you not know when you work there? How to you not provide help in a store you work at?

At this point in time, there seems to be New Management. With this being said, the store is well stocked clean people are abiding to wearing masks and complying with other mandatory statements of government. I have found the store most delightful.

I absalutley love this store. The very first time I went into one was in chiefland Florida. I was hoping you opened here in Connecticut and you did. My husband and I go to the one in Milford or East Haven.Your employees are all very professional and great personality. I'm a manager for Cumberland Farms for 15 years. You customer service is amazing!!

Dollar General on Coe ave is what you might expect. It has some decent prices for okay quality items. There are name brand household items for fair prices. The app for dollar General would be ideal if your trying to spend the least amount of money and have the time to save your coupons. On the other hand the staff there are anything but friendly. I have bought items and was rung out 3 times for the same thing when only buying 1 item. I put back an item a couple of times and was rung out for it and paid for it anyways and didn't even get it in my bag when I got home. Now I check my receipt before I leave the store and my bags as well. Be careful when you see the coupons in their flyers and be sure to check the dates on them. You would think on Sunday flyers the coupons should be used that day but I've rung out my items and handed coupons to the cashier that couldn't take them because the coupon was only good for Wednesday til Saturday and had to go through my items to see what I needed to put back and felt a lot of pressure because I had five annoyed customers behind me due to the fact that there has never been 2 registers open all of the times I've been there.

It's a small space but it's loaded with all types of merchandise. The clerk was friendly and polite. Prices vary, it's not a 1$ store but items are affordable and the frozen foods selection is what it is.

Glad these stores have been popping up over the past few years, I'm surprised how much they actually have at times, definitely better than your average Dollar Store with quality products my only issue with this store on Chapel is multiple times the registers for accepting cards, and I'm more than one occasion the cashier had music blasting so loud while singing along he completely ignored my question oh, I'm all about music at work and having fun but if you can't here's someone it's a little too much

Under staffed but customer service was excellent. One and two person under staffed and under funded for doing two and four person operations. Franchise owners should hire more help and give them all 40hrs a week, stop abusing workers and support the people.

The manager of this place is so unprofessional...it's not that hard to have common courtesy and good customer service. I've been here multiple times when there's a huge line at the register and she won't open another, or says she is on her lunch break. 🤷🏼‍♀️
