Finally got a chance to visit the shop this past weekend. They have a really nice variety of soups. My husband and I tried the chicken and vegetable, which was a new offering for them. It was a deliciously and uniquely spiced, hearty tomato-based soup. (That sentence was a mouthful... So was the soup!) No shortage of chicken in the soup, either!I had also been craving pea soup, and I was lucky they had some frozen. "Sven's pea soup" was like no other pea soup I've had. As with the other soup we chose, it was hearty, and the spices were unique and delicious! They also have a really nice variety of gifts created by local artists and crafts people. I look forward to returning again soon! Thanks Rich and Alan!

Absolutely amazing experience. The moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and samples of the fresh baked cookies they were preparing. Super comforting vibe with products from numerous small businesses. Lots of variety including prepared foods, jams, canned goods, and of course plenty of spices. As we checked out, we were gifted some samples of some spiced and some more baked goods! We’ll absolutely be back soon.

What a delightful stop and if you have the means get the soup. We didn't have a place to heat up soup so they rerouted us for dinner at The Riverside Inn. Thank you so much for this recommendation. We bought some fresh honey from 320 and scooted. We will not miss you guys and will stop again someday.

Don't think of Spice 320 as a place for spices. Yes, they have those, too, but this small shop on Route 8 in Colebrook, CT is a special store with a wide variety of items for both locals and visitors. Stop by for a homemade scone, or take home soups made right in the shop! Often fruits and veggies are available from local farmers, as well as ice cream sandwiches, take-and-bake pizza and more! The shop is filled with wonderful local items as souvenirs, treats and helpful items for the traveler as well. It's worth a visit if you are in the area, or even a destination starting point in exploring Colebrook, Riverton or all the surrounding sites in this northern Litchfield County area, at the foot of the Berkshires.

First you walk in and go Wow, this place is so cool! The design and decorating alone are worth the visit. But omg it's the food that will keep you coming back, not to mention the owners who are beyond kind. So far I've had the chicken pie (yum, yum yum), the molasses crinkle cookie, to die for flavor and the soup homemade at it's best. I loved all the local artist stuff you can shop too. Did I mention the local produce and products! I had nectarines yesterday that were perfect.

This place is a gem! The spices are top notch-they’ve amassed the best spices from around the globe. Their soups and ready to heat meals are outstanding-locally sourced, delicious, and I can pronounce all the ingredients! They also offer options that are gluten and dairy free.Plus, they collaborate with other local vendors so they have new items in store-local teas, snack foods, bakeries, even adorable handmade kids’ sweaters. The owners are friendly, helpful, dedicated and live in the community so they truly care. Can’t wait to go back!

What a fun visit to a lovely store! I was immediately welcomed by Rick and then Alan came out of his kitchen to join us in a tour of the store, with Rick telling us all about the renovations he's done. Spectacular job! The store is nicely laid out with local produce and crafts. I tried peaches, nectarines, cantaloupe, tomatoes, cukes, and local cheese, all of which were very fresh and delicious. Chef Al's Mac & Cheese is perfection! OMG! The pasta is cooked perfectly; the sauce is just the right amount of cheesy and perfectly covers the pasta. True comfort food - I wish I lived closer! The scones were wonderful with fresh blueberries! I've got some lentil date soup in the freezer and I'm anxious to try that. When you're going by, or even if you need to make a bit of a trip, don't miss this delightful store. It's well worth the trip.

This is an unexpected, hidden gem that should be sought out. Wide spice selection and products from local producers to buy. Yummy food made with fresh, local ingredients. I love the Butterscotch Praline Scones which my boyfriend didn't get to try because I ate them both. Owners are wonderful so go meet them!

I’ll be honest, I was going to 5 star this place anyways. My great grandmother used to own this property, and then my grandmother took ownership. What a blast in the past. Beautifully done renovations by these two. My grandparents would love what they’ve done to the place. The second reason for my 5 star review:The Broccoli cheddar soup. My goodness that was quite possibly the best soup I’ve ever had. It had a nice punch to the middle of my tongue. Creamy, rich, made by Allen. Very nice gentleman who gave me an in-depth tour of the place.I went in because I was curious, now I’ll go in to continue supporting this business. Thanks for what you guys have done!

At my last visit I bought 2quarts of soup to take home (along with a bunch of other goodies!). Today my husband and I had the “Organic Butternut Squash &Cashew Bisque” for lunch. (The first quart of Spring Farro soup was long gone!). The vegan Bisque reheated beautifully and was the most delicious soup I’ve ever had-delicate and delicious. They don’t call it a “Chef driven Marketplace” for nothing. This guy really knows his flavors. Cheers Alan! I’ll be back for more soon.

If you miss this you are MISSING OUT. It’s not just amazing. It is a MUST. A life-changing taste will hit your palette with any of the one-of-kind soups. Alan is a world class chef who has been cooking for decades and Rick is curating an eclectic and successful marketplace for local artisans. Most importantly, the COMMUNITY vibe they are bringing to Colebrook is unmatched and this town is lucky to have them. If I lived closer, I’d be there multiple times a week no doubt! Gluten free and plant-based visitors will not be disappointed.

This is such a great place! Everything I have had so far that has come out of their kitchen is to die for! Alan and Richard are two of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. The store is so much fun…from handmade crafts from local artisans and homemade jams and of course their own wonderful soups, chicken pot pies, mac and cheese and one of my favorites, Alan’s cranberry scones! They carry every spice you would ever need. You know that recipe that calls for a spice you never heard of before? Well, they have it and they will tell you the spices history and how to use it. One of my favorite places!
