I purchased my chihuahua a month ago. Iris was wonderful, going above and beyond to make this a posive experience. I am impressed with this pet store as it is a lot of work to care for a few pups and they have so many. They really do a great job staying on top of things. My dog tested positive for giardia at his first vet visit. I want to say, my daughter purchased a puppy from The Dog House a year ago. The dog is the center of her life, and was healthy at purchase and still is a healthy little girl. Unfortunately a sickness can occur in any animal and I am so happy The Dog House took my little pup, who was then able to be passed on to me. I love animals, and I am grateful it was me that was able to improve his life. Iris, thank you, and continue doing what you're doing. You are very good at it.

I’ve purchased two dogs from here!! Worked with Iris who was very accommodating! They are now 3 and 5 perfectly healthy beautiful sweet pups!! Don’t get the bad reviews at all!!

My mom bought a puppy. As soon as she brought puppy home ? She noticed that night something was wrong. Long story short. The next day she had to take the puppy to The Emergency Veterinary Hospital. Puppy was diagnosed with Kennel cough. Extreme kennel cough. The puppy has been having other health problems as well. Please do NOT go into this pet shop. I don’t know who’s the veterinarian who’s signing off on these animals but for sure it’s a scam to sell these poor sick animals. The workers are very rude, unprofessional, nasty attitudes once they sell you a pet. Please stay away from this horrible place. I do agree with a review. This place should be investigated along with every single employee!

*have sent 3 emails and called about my reimbursement and still have not heard back from them.I bought a golden retriever 1 week ago. Had an appointment 5 days later and my dog had an ear infection. Reached out for reimbursement on my dogs ear infection. No reply and got my fecal results today and my dog has giardia and coccidiosis. **they DO purchase dogs from puppy mills. A quick google search for the breeder of my puppy was in fact a PUPPY MILL and there's been countless articles about the breeder and his terrible treatment of dogs.

Bought a puppy from here a couple weeks ago and after her first vet visit we found out she has Giardia. Disappointing considering the price we paid and that we can’t socialize our puppy with other dogs because of the parasite until it’s gone, which could be months. This means the other puppies here very well could have Giardia also because this is where our puppy got it and it’s very contagious between dogs. Giving 4 stars because the workers are friendly and the dogs do seem happy and playful. Just unfortunate.

This place has the nicest staff ever, cozy environment, and the cutest puppies in the whole wide world! I fell in love with my doggy here, and I love love love her! It smells absolutely amazing here, and they are the cheapest pet store around. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!

Stepped up in major way, they really impressed me with how much they cared and went above and beyond to be sure our pup got the care she needed, and i would definitely recommend them!! Things happen and all you can expect as a customer is that a buisness is willing to step up and do what is needed to fix the problem once they are made aware of it and they did just that!! Edit/Update: it's been over a year and Roxanne is doing amazing smartest dog I have ever owned wanted to update with a few recent pics!!!

This is my dog Odin and I bought him back in 2017. This was my first dog and I didn’t do a lot of research and read the reviews ahead of time. The moment I brought Odin home I had a feeling something was wrong. He ended up getting shots the next day and was still very sluggish. By that night I couldn’t get him to stop vomiting and having diarrhea. I called the vet immediately and was able to bring him in. He was diagnosed with Parvo and had to stay at the vet. I called the Dog House and they said to bring Odin back in to them to see “Their” vet. Their vet obviously needs to get fired or is getting paid under the table to sign off on all this. I said absolutely not! After finally reading their terrible reviews. They said if I didn’t bring him I wouldn’t get reimbursed. When I tell you I called EVERY SINGLE state phone number I could find to get his vet bills reimbursed. Please don’t let this place think they cannot reimburse you for medical expenses! Do your research and call whoever you have to. I was not about to let this dog pass away giving it back to them. He’s now one of the biggest parts of my family. I didn’t write a review for so long because I’ve been so thankful for him being alive. I’m shocked this place is still open. It needs to get shut down.

We adopted our dog Sumo, in 2010 from here and Sumo lived a long healthy life of 13.5 years old. I read many reviews, and I cannot speak for everyone but our Sumo was amazing, smart, energetic, affectionate, and never got sick. He passed away from cancer this past June. Thank you for taking care of the dogs/puppies and providing a service for the community.

Sold me my baby "lady Bug" Iris is wonderful she helped me rescue this beautiful morkie.....Sad too say that my baby lady bug 🐞is now longer with my family. She passed away 6/29/20. We notified Iris and told her we were looking forward to rescuing another baby and Iris found this beautiful boy we named Apollo....... 3 months old Havanese and picking up right after Lady bug. Thanks again Iris you're the best.

In February I randomly went into the dog house, I was promptly greeted. I saw two boxers puppies a male and female and instantly feel in love with the female. I went back that evening with my husband and kids. We ended up putting a deposit down on the female boxer. The communication through the entire process was awesome. Erin the manager text me updates, sent me pictures and follow up on everything. I love my sweet girl so very much and I am very pleased and thankful to have her in our lives. She’s 9 months old now and every vet appointment she’s been nothing, but healthy. She’s well mannered and was easy to train!

Idk why this place gets so much hate. The woman working there provides great care for the dogs. Our family was looking for a dog for a few weeks, we would come in and see what they had for option. We finally pulled the trigger and got our boy! The woman (I believe her name was Iris) was so helpful and patient with us, she was extremely knowledgeable and even gave us her cell to call or text any time because she knew we were new dog owners, we couldn’t be happier. Don’t believe the bs reviews.

As for all the poor reviews about this and Save All Dogs I can’t even begin to understand most of them. I bought Riley my German Shepard puppy in the beginning of the summer from The Dog House, the price was just under what German Shepard puppies were going for everywhere I looked and Riley was happy and healthy. Was the lady that worked there a people person? No, but she was very helpful and nice. They are clearly severely understaffed as with thousands of business’ across the US right now. Iv now owned Riley for months with zero health or personality issues and zero complaints about either place. People be sure to understand that these places charge just the minimum to stay running and in business. They take in dogs from horrible situations and so sometimes the dogs aren’t in the best shape. Be responsible read the health bill and read the paperwork. All of the complaints I saw both business have tried to be responsible and mend.

It was our lovely first fur baby’s birthday, who we lost in Dec last year. So this year we decided to go spend some time with the fur babies at the shelter and donate 10 new puppy beds, toys and some food.We wanted to do this for the rescue shelter in this facility but since they were too busy that day that we ended up waiting in the lobby. The greedy/shameless owner of the “Dog house” stopped by telling us that the shelter people are busy so why not we donate our new beds for her puppies which she is selling for $2000. She insisted how her puppies have no bed. It melted our heart and we decided to donate the beds and toys to her.We visited again today thinking to give some more donations for the cute ignored fur babies there. Guess what! We saw all those puppies in the cage still with no beds and on the side we see the bed for sale that we donated thinking the puppies in the cage will get to use them.She also said that she will give those beds to the shelter people once they get free.It’s heart breaking that she lied to us.All the fur babies definitely look unhealthy and she is selling them for double the price.We recently got our malshipoo and maltipoo for $800 and in great health condition as per the vet.Making money is not bad but not at the cost of someone else’s emotions.I make a humble request to boycott such business who have no respect for neither humans nor fur babies.

My dog is beautiful but they don't take care of there dogs. They get them form puppy mills and there puppy's are always sick when you take them home. Mine almost died and they gave me a hard te. Said they would take her back but only give us half the money. (Would never have returned her) they also said they would self vet her. I took her to the vet the day after I got her and they said if I hadn't got her when I did she would have died

If i could leave zero stars, I would. My boyfriend and I recently bought our lab puppy from the Dog House, they said he had been checked by their vet twice and was all set, less than a week later the puppy was diagnosed with kennel cough that turned into pneumonia. Currently putting the dog through treatments, we are hoping he makes it. We then found out through several Vet visits, (and thousands of dollars) the Dog House was kicked out of the state of Mass for their inhumane care for dogs. You will without a doubt be sold a sick puppy from this establishment. DON’T adopt from here.

I bought my dog, Scrappy here a little over a year ago. I spent about $4,000 after taxes, they said he was a Pom-chi (I have the paperwork that says he’s a pom-chi as well that they gave me) and turns out he’s a chiweenie mix so that was a bit upsetting for the paying that price and not even getting the breed I paid for. My dog has had good health so far, as well as he became my best friend so I give this place 3 stars because they brought me to him.

In April of 2020 i schedule an appointment to see the pups they have available for adoption. I was greed and bring to meet a couple of them.OMG right of the back i fall in love with a Shiba Inu pup, the lady in charge explain everything about him including health problems( hip dysplasia), breed, care,etc. Took him home and he is our forever baby. He is playfull, silly, love playing catch and running around the yard. He just turn 1 year and we looking for a brother.

I bought a Cockapoo from The Dog House back in November of 2019, and she is now 4 years old and the happiest, and most beautiful dog ever. We are now considering buying a second dog, and Iris was kind enough to take our number down, to give us a call when the breed we want comes in. We have had nothing but a good experience with them. Thank you The Dog House, our Luna girl is just amazing! 🐶💖

Was here today and they had two dogs out playing. One being a dalmatian, the male worker wanted the dog to listen and he literally kicked the dog. KICKED THE DOG!!!! It wasn't hard but it was a kick nonetheless. I know it was hard enough to hurt. Poor dogs there.

We have purchased 2 pups from here. Our most recent has Giardia and had a dried snotty nose. We kept him away from our other dogs and still our oldest dog has an upper respiratory infection.The problem is with these places. So many people in and out handling the dogs. So many dirty shoes walking on the floor that transmit disease.My vet is their Vet and they are very good, but the Doghouse only has them checked once when they come in.This is it for us adopting from this place.

Great place! I got the most adorable german shepherd puppy from them. The place was great and the staff is very caring! They truly care about their animals and want them to go to a good home! If i ever were to get another pet I will come back to this place! great staff and great atmosphere

I got a dog from here and she had a parasite that took MONTHS to go away. All the dogs are also from puppy mills DONT GO HERE.I am noticing that the owner keeps responding. And yes I know my facts. People have been trying to shut you down your animals come from out of state at mills. You claim your animals go to the vet but if they did for the price of your animals they should not have all the problems I am seeing in your reviews.The place is smelly and dirty. The animals are cramped into cages with multiple puppies. No one should ever support your establishment.

Doing this again since my other review was deleted. Do not buy form here. They lie about the breeds! The owner will make it seem like I’m upset about the size of my dog which I’m not. I paid 2400 for a dog that could’ve been bought some where else for 200 bucks! That’s why I’m upset. Either we love our pup. But if you want to know what type of dog you’re buying. Don’t buy it from here or ask them for a dna test. Let’s see if this one gets to stay on for the people to see.

The dog I bought here, became relatively insane after a few months. It seems as if the conditions he was in as a very young pup created some undesirable traits in him. Lesson learned, don't buy a puppy mill dog... They provide a traceable lineage for the dog... It lead back to a puppy mill breeder in Kentucky I believe. They don't hide the dogs origins but, they don't tell you up front about it... Personally, based off the prices they charge I think they could afford better breeders with humane standards.The dog became so vicious that we had give away... Never seen anything like it. I'm sure its partially my fault as a new dog owner not being fully knowledgeable in how to raise a dog. I did go to training... Low level commands and behavioral training for his insanity. Unfortunately, it did not work...Lastly, owner can you be more respectful... Imagine you get bad PR and your response is to act like your 5... Well... Now I believe the bad PR, whether its true or false... I'm sure you're an adult... You're just like the owner of MilkCraft xD Who hurt you?Overall, not a fan...EDIT: In response to the owner: I'll check, his information about his breeder and get you the exact locale. I looked them up and they were literally cited as a puppy mill and as I stated in my review, we go obedience training but the dog overall seemed to have a flawed mental state due to early birth trauma. You can probably work on this but my assumption is you have to catch it very early on. Either way, better response but still not great...Just sharing my experence, Not concerned with a refund...-Dom

If I could leave zero stars, I would. My family purchased 3 dogs, 1 was a rescue and the other 2 came from the dog house. All three dogs were sick requiring several thousand dollars in vet bills and the possibility of our little guy having to be put to sleep. 2 of the puppies are less than 5 months old and the other just turned one. This comes at a time where we experienced a huge loss in our family and the dogs were something the kids and grandkids were extremely happy about and now we're torn. 💔 I would suggest purchasing dogs from reputable breeders.

My husband and I and his PCA went to check out some dogs at the store in Massachusetts that is now permanently closed and we looked at a pug, a chihuahua, and both were very pricey. I would not recommend them as you have to sign a waiver to look at them in a little cubby hole with hardly no room for them to Move. Also all the puppies all looked sad except when he held those 2 . I am sorry but I am not paying 2200&2700 for a puppy when I can go to a rescue and get it for less. PLEASE DON’T BUY FROM HERE, THEY ARE THE SAME PLACE BUT DIFFERENT NAME IN CONNECTICUT.
