Awesome place....incredible staff so helpful, friendly & knowledgeable! Papi got the full treatment bath, shampoo, treats & so much love. Purchased Raw chicken food, ULTRA limited feeeze dried beef liver treats, a new collar and leash. Papi loves them everything about this awesome pet store....Thanks girls!

They have everything I need for my cats.These treats were devoured by my cats. It's a nice store to browse . They have dog grooming available. They offer many pet items. The staff was fantastic!

I love this store. I consider myself (and my dogs) regular customers, probably in and out about every two to three weeks or so for food, kitty litter, and the amazing bathing service that has been the light of my stinky dog life. I saw a post from 6 months ago about staff. Yes, the 'lady with the blue hair' that guy mentioned in his post is a bit stiff. But she does say hi every time and smile! Sometimes she even forces out a chuckle at my bad jokes. The manager of this store is super nice and helpful. If I come in without my dogs, he asks how they are. He's always cheerful and laughing. And some of the later afternoon shift ladies have been fantastic, even when I've come in with a dog that just sprung out of rolling in a less-than-fresh carcass and I want to stick them in their tub. So to recap, my favorite pet store. And thank you so so much for the bathing arena. My bathroom thanks you too.

I love it here! My girl has such severe separation anxiety that she's not easy for a groomer to manage without me there. Their bathing stations are beautiful with built-in steps, are equipped with a nice blow dryer, and always have towels, aprons, and treats available! Easy, convenient, and I don't have to worry about the hair clogging my drain. The staff are all very nice, and store always looks clean! Love, love, love!

The people there are always very nice. You can always bring in your dog with you. They have bath stations, $10 for using the bath and that includes shampoo towels and a big industrial dryer. They don't do dog nail trimming or grooming here. Overall it's a great place.

A very good "pet store". I put that in quotes only because it really is so much more than a pet store. The fact that u can bring your pets there & give them a full scrub down & drying for $10 is fantastic & find everything you could possibly need! Plus they provide everything you need to get your best friend smelling nice & clean.The staff is incredibly knowledgeable as well. They have been able to provide a solution to every question that I've had pop into my head & answered questions that I didn't even think to ask! The only downside that I know of is their prices. They do tend to be more expensive then everyone else. Besides that fact though, I will be going there for the majority of my pet's needs. Definitely stop in & give them a try!

I love this place! Everyone who works here is so incredibly nice and helpful, especially if you need help bathing your dog or finding something. They saw me coming in often and buying out a type of cat food and offered to put in a special order so that there's always a case waiting for me which was so appreciated. The prices are actually very good, and the selection of stock is excellent. I always joke that I need to find a new pet store because they always have adoption events here for rescue dogs and rescue cats in the cages up front, and I have a weak spot for rescues! Twice we have walked in for some pet food and ended up leaving with 2 cats and a puppy lol! They also take donations for local rescue organizations which is awesome. Love this place!

Always always always a great experience when you walk in here! Every single individual who works at this location is amazing, always helpful, knowledgeable and cheerful. They've gotten to know our family a bit so have made some excellent recommendations over time especially when it comes to our power chewer. The bath area is always clean and well stocked. Overall a pleasant visit no matter why you are there.

The staff are very much pet people and have always been helpful with answering questions. I recently went in to find a harness upgrade for my pup. He sounded like a goose when I walked him. Not only were they able to recommend a harness that stopped applying pressure to his neck, but it also helped with his pulling. Now my dog sounds like a dog and walks like a gentleman!

I been having some difficulties with my dog being aggressive and I must have looked helpless trying to find a muzzle. She asked me what was going on and immediately found what I needed, helped me fit it on my dog and provided a contact for someone to help me. Excellent customer service!

My cats found/caught a newborn bunny, it's eyes weren't even open. After reading online a few things I needed I went to Tractor Supply with questions as to what I should do. They had no information for me at all. I then went to Petvalu, the girl I worked with was AMAZING! She was very helpful and went above and beyond to try to help me and give me the best advice possible. She even contacted a friend that was a vet tech to see if there was anything further that could be done since it was almost 9 p.m and no vets were open! I wish I got her name!

Great selection. Everything you need right in town. I like to bring my dogs to meet new people. The staff is great with my dog who barks at most people, making her settle faster.

Always go to this pet value. Their line of pet food is really high quality. The dog baths are easy and inexpensive. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

Not very friendly staff. As soon as I walked in a women standing behind the register with blue hair just stared at me blankly and then looked back down instead of greeting me or at least saying "hi". I walked around the store for a while clearly looking for something and I wasn't asked once if I needed any help. It's a shame because I was really excited when I saw Pet Valu was coming to Colchester. Even though the store itself looks nice, the staff doesn’t seem thrilled to be there or to have your business.

Went in to get small/medium crickets. They were all dead in box. If I hadn't noticed the cashier would have rung me out. When I inquired she said yes they came in the day before in the freezing cold. So they knew they were dead, still stocked them on shelf and would have sold them. Just disappointed because I usually am very pleased here.

Chelsey was there from the moment we entered until the moment we left she was helpful, polite, and a really hard worker. She was the only one there and it was busy but she was killing it. This place beats Petco ten fold. We will be back.
