THEY WERE JUST GREAT ALL AROUND! I had a an emergency en route and I was lucky to have them as a nearby option so I popped in. Initially I was a bit frazzled but they were calm and cool and my auto concerns were addressed with courtesy and professional response. Of course I had to wait my turn but there was free coffee and a comfortable waiting area with c. hairs, a restroom and a large TV. The text updates tracking the status and progress were a real plus. Overall the service was efficient. I left feeling confident my car issues were fixed and was back on the road promptly. I'll go again for tune ups and oil changes etc. Plus they have a long history of wonderful graphics and signage, and are a big part of American car culture! I recommend.

Excellent, cheerful service despite being the last appointment of the day! Tech staff seemed knowledgeable and capable. Performed major brake work across all four wheels in record time. So far, the car drives like a dream. Had a little hiccup with the $40 off coupon which the manager resolved promptly. I will bring my car here again if needed.

Went to get a tire fixed …they said tire was not repairable and that all my other tires were bald. Which was a flat out lie, trying to scam people apparently is how they run their business. I went to another tire shop, got the flat repaired and my other tires checked. I think it’s insane that pep boys tried to scare me into buying 4 new tires. Photo of the allegedly bald tire included

One of the worst experiences:1.Male bathroom was locked and when asked about it was told that someone was in there . Sat there for over 30 minutes only to see a MALE EMPLOYEE go into the FEMALE restroom .2. Hostile front desk person asked WHY I left another auto shop to go there . I said that they were recommended . He gave multiple reasons why I should leave : payment will take a while to go through since it’s from a third party , service may take long , approval for payment may take 72 hours . I really needed the fixture so I insisted and stayed ( In reality payment approval took about 10 minutes and I was out in about an hour and half )3.Customer service doesn’t seem to be in their vocabulary. I had to consistently go to the front desk to ask for an update.

Saved the day! Mothers Day 2024, visit Mom and mow her lawn was the plan. Flat tire on the lawn tractor on a Sunday! OMW to Tractor Supply to get a tube, maybe, hopefully if in stock. Stopped at Pep Boys and took a chance if they might be able to fix it! Sure did, just resealed the bead and pumped it up! Saved the day! And no charge! Thank You!!

I’ve always been wary of Pep Boys, in the past they’ve scared me into purchasing other services. This time though they had my car ready much faster than I expected, though I wish their tire prices were a little better. Even with a buy 3 get one free deal I paid close to $800

These guys and girls are amazing! They were able to fit me in to get my new tires same day! and they corrected the alignment that another shop messed up. The technician explained everything to me in detail. This shop knows the true meaning of customer service! Thank you!

I went there almost 2 weeks ago to diagnose my check engine light and fix any issues that would cause that to happen. The service that was provided was amazing and was very prompt within the timeframe I was given but my two biggest issues, and why I could only give 3 stars are the following:1. I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance but when I went to drop off my vehocle I was met with a confused stare because my appointment wasn't in their system amd because of that I was told I had to wait an additional hour for a tech to arrove as none were in the building.2. Within 48 hours after the appointment my check engine light came back on.I submitted their survey with the same complaints stated above and if they contact me about the issue and help me resolve it I will change my review.

I was not advised of a missing tire upon arrival. They could have contacted me about rescheduling the appointment. Arrived prior to 8:45am and the work was done just prior to 1 pm. The work was replace 4 tires, mount, balance, tpms, and an alignment.

I had a really great experience at this location. My tire light was on and the guys working were very helpful. They were all very polite and their customer service skills were great. I will be returning to this location if any other vehicle issues come up

Great experience! Took my daughter's car there after Jiffy Lube told her she needed brakes. The technician took the wheels off and came and got me. "Your brakes are fine." No charge. They could have taken me for a few hundred bucks, but they were honest and kind-hearted. Thank you, Kevin!

I had a good experience with the service advisor. She kept me informed and she was very professional. The tech was very knowledgeable and took the time to diagnose an annoying issue that I had with my car. The technical is an asset to the company.

My appointment was for 8am, four new tires to be placed and the customer service guy suggested I have my tires aligned. I was told it should take an hour and half or 2 hours, which took longer without any updates until I asked myself how much longer. Also, I noticed that they placed my spare tire in my trunk which left my trunk area filthy and never even told me. When I started to drive my vehicle on the highway (from Pep Boys) my tires indicators came on saying lower pressure in all four tires. I called and spoke with Anthony concerning this matter (after just paying over two hundred dollars) and he stated, "I can't see how that happen", "but you can bring it in so we can check it out." I would NOT recommend this Pep Boys in Manchester at all. You have young worker talking/laughing loudly in the front forgetting this is a place of business and forgetting to update me my vehicle. Poor job!

Was here for work, the service side will remain open and offer services such as tire changes and basic oils changes but the retail side of the operation is no longer available. Staff was friendly and plenty of parking spaces available. Location right off of the highway and access is relatively easy.

What a scammer,she told me my tire wasn’t repairable and that i needed to replace all tires that had plenty of thread left ,beware because last year she made me wait 1 1/2 hours just for her to tell me she didn’t have my tire size 15 minutes before closing,on my other vehicle and so had to race on a Sunday drive to west Hartford Pepboys and she was so lazy and lied and said she told them I was on my way .when I got there they said we didn’t even know you were coming. Bad Bad business with this service at your front desk

I had a problem with my splash guard that I had to take a day off from work because I felt unsafe to drive it. It was dragging on the floor, making noises. I came in the store one day and Kareem was able to do a quick fix with zip ties. I’m forever thankful!The people there are not only good to talk to, but tends to put a smile on my face by making laugh. I appreciate that too.

Originally came in to get 4 new tires and I won't even get into how many times it took to get the car's tires rebalanced and accepted the time spent as a personal loss. What's unacceptable is somehow my driver side panel by the foot pedals is missing bro. Like seriously? Customer service is a joke at PepBoys whether it's in person or over the phone. Don't waste your time with PepBoys cause they'll definitely waste yours. Never doing business with PepBoys again and everyone I know will know to stay away from PepBoys.

This place still sucks. Made appointment online to swap in my winter tires that I bought here. Also noted this in the online scheduler. Come in and I’m told they can’t do this and that they don’t care where I bought them. Pep Boys probably shouldn’t be selling products they can’t service. And Pep Customer service, stay off this review.

Completed the service requested, but never called me to give a quote or timeline like they said they would. Waited an extra day because of it and when i called to see what was going on, it took another call back to give a quote and promise time. Work completed was great however!

Schedule an appointment for four tires to be replaced at 11:00am with no alignment just the tires. By 2:00 I had wondered what was taking so long everybody who had come in after me as walk-ins had been serviced and left and I was the only one in the waiting room. When I came out to inquire the manager told me that it was going to take another hour and if I had a problem with that he could take my car off the lift and I can leave as is. I wasn't even yelling or being rude. I said to him dude I've literally been here since 11:00am and you're telling me it's going to be another hour. Then he said well how about I get two people to work on the car so we can go a little quicker for you. I said yes please cuz this is an awful long time to wait. I still ended up waiting another hour and 15 minutes. While the guy who walked in right before me got four brand new tires and an alignment and was only quoted 1 hour wait time. Can someone please tell me how that makes sense that walk-ins take priority to appointments

I want to say that the staff behind the service department were awesome they get a 5 star. They even have complementary coffee which is great, But the guy doing the work on my tires is another story within itself. He gets a 1/2star. My front driver side needed new valvestem and the rear driver side needed a plug... Here I been for 3hours and he just about completed it. I think.. I dont know what he is on. I think hes high. Now hes on a personal phone call at the service desk. His name is Chris. I use to work in a tire shop and it takes at lease 30 min to do it all.

This review is a for an alignment service to give the potential customers a fair evaluation. This location needs better customer awareness, It leaves a lot to be desired as I stood in line for approximately 7-10min and never was greeted. My biggest concern is integrity of the services being provided. My alignment service was/is a disaster. I was never provided a before and after alignment specification sheet showing what was adjusted. Even when asking the service advisor about this a sheet could not be provided. Worst yet is that there is absolutely zero change in the concerns I had for getting the alignment done in first place. Steering is crooked and pulls heavily to the right. (I’m going to reach out to corporate for refund) this location has potential however the customer advisors at this location need better training and some accountability. There was just to many times I was in the waiting room listening to the employees at the counter putting calls on speaker phone (cell phone) and hearing vulgar and inappropriate conversations. Worst part is they were on the phone with other associates to come into work due to staffing errors. So it seems the lack of professionalism is contagious among staff. Just not a great Overall experience.Follow-up (12/28/2023)- Can you make an already bad experience worse? Yes, Kareem absolutely turned a 2 star review into a 1 star let me explain: On 12/27/23 Kareem reached out to me to set up an appointment to perform a "re-do" alignment on my vehicle because of the initial complaint I had about the vehicle feeling like it never was done. I was told that the vehicles suspension components would be checked and an alignment would be performed with the technician driving it first and then again with me in the vehicle to verify completion. I agreed and set the appointment for 12/28/23. Upon my arrival i was greeted by Anthony and my keys were taken. Kareem who was present never even came out to say hi or greet me as this was a customer service repair being done. I was however greeted by the technician Farred who discovered my right rear tire was about 10psi low and insisted that that was the cause of the pull. I asked if we could go on a test drive to verify and Farred declined. So at this point I requested Kareem to speak with me as a commitment was made to me about going on a test drive afterwards. He comes out, tells his service writer to issue a refund. This is were things get spicy. I ask Kareem about the second test drive and he tells me is not happening because the alignment is perfect and the cause was the tire being low on air. hmmmm... I insist on a test drive and explain the experience i had last visit and thats were Kareems fuse decided to blow. He told me that I called him a "lier" because I said I didn't believe the alignment was performed last visit and then points to a spec sheet to show it was in the green. As a bonus he tells me he was reprimanded for his speaker phone usage. Where was this sheet last visit? anyway I immediately identify that this is a retaliatory behavior towards me as he continued to to let me know that his stance on the matter. There isn't room enough on this page to list all that was exchanged but I can assure you that this individual needs retrained. I couldn't imagine Kareem during a performance review. This guy doesn't know how to listen, know what apologizing is, diffusing difficult situations, problem solving and just being empathetic. Kareems ego will be the face of this location until change is made. My hope is that he takes these reviews and makes the necessary changes/adjustments to become a great leader. In the end i did get a refund, but i don't consider this matter resolved/closed. Id gladly pay 200 to keep this matter open and have a one on one with the general manager or owner to discuss in more specific details. Customers- Until Kareem decides to step it up and own his actions, this Manchester location is in murky waters. You may, or may not, get the the exceptional customer experience that PepBoys advertises. Good luck

They will not change your tires over to snow tires unless they’re brand new. I don’t understand how anyone would have separate snow tires with this kind of policy. Snow tire changes are 50% of my yearly maintenance, so I will not be returning to this location ever again.

My truck's alternator died while I was on the highway 5 hours from home on a Sunday. I was towed to the Manchester, CT location and the staff members were professional and helpful. They diagnosed my issue, offered me options, and performed the work that day to get me on back on the road. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

i love how fast their service was. I came here because I needed an oil change and they did it with no hesitation. The manager Kareem was very sweet and the prices were very reasonable!! i would most def come back here with any problems i have with my car I truly do love this store and greatly recommend it.

I have had bad experience at other auto shops, but not PepBoys in Manchester. Kareem has done the best work at great prices for my truck. He don't beat around the bust when it came to servicing my car. Kareem lets me to know upfront of any issues before he works on my truck. I have been coming here for a few months now and I can't think of a better place to take my truck for any repairs

Because my battery died on a Sunday I was limited to where I could take it. The battery was way overpriced & if I got one elsewhere & brought it to them they wanted to charge $149 to install the battery. The female service advisor who waited on me was very kind & helpful which I greatly appreciated!
