A good place with many options and some good quality products. I like that you can find things for many types of pets/animals in one stop. They also have a decent amount of plants in the warm months.They could improve by pricing more items. Many items are not priced and don't have tags on the shelves that they are on.

Friendly staff, with a very nice selection of items. If you have Ego lawn equipment, they have technicians who can troubleshoot and repair your items. The process was super easy.

First time here looking for seedless birdseed mixture. Alas, all they had were shelled peanuts. Some of the smaller safflower bags were seedless, but no blends.Store seemed fairly organized and staff was extremely pleasant.

All in all a good experience. Our visit was a bit toward the mid season, so I wasn't expecting a lot. The staff was friendly and helpful. Most of the plants are in good health and there are even a variety of sizes for some of them which allows for multiple price points. I was pleasantly surprised at all they had. The selection of Native plants is pretty good, but I would like to see more. The inside is full of pet and bird enthusiasts supplies. I did find the prices to be high, but shopping local is important to us. We were planning an additional stop for one item that they ended up having which was lime. The gentleman that loaded our car was even kind enough to help us load the lime correctly so as to avoid a messy cleanup at home. That alone was a really nice touch.

They are dog friendly, which I love. I had my dog with me. She loves to meet new people, and stands on her hind legs to say hello. She is incredibly well mannered & trained. The girl (employee) proceeded to tell me that if I wanted my dog to behave, I needed to take control & tell her no. All my dog did was stand up, wag her tail, and smile. She did not jump, bark, pull, or misbehave in any way, and when she was done 30 seconds later, she sat at my side. Needless to say, her unwarranted "advice" drove us to leave.

Cool place to visit, small and inviting atmosphere with some wonky uneven floors. Can't say I've ever needed to buy anything here, but they have a pretty big selection of dog food, and always fun to visit with the cats.

Looking around the store, I could see they had a you covered in all you would need for gardening, decide, beautiful flowers of all kinds. I felt like I could spend hours looking at all there product choices. I highly recommend Lackeys in Colchester, CT.

Shop here for my chickens' feed, treats and hay for my goat. Great staff, especially the workers who have been there for what seems like forever. Just a great home town agriculture, dog &cat, small animal pets store.

This (and the store in Willimantic) is the only store I'll just pop into and see what they have. It's got everything you need for gardens and pets, and surprisingly the nicest decorations and gifts (especially around the holidays). My dogs absolutely love all the natural treats they sell here, and they're really cheap too! This is also the only place that I can find that sells dog beds that are a reasonable price. And on top of that the staff is always super friendly. Looking forward to stopping by as the Spring gets closer for all my gardening needs!

They have a wide variety of plants. Went there for vegetables but since I am starting late they were out of sweet peppers and some vegetable seeds. Need to shop earlier next year! Good place to shop for all things garden.

I get all my pet needs there....like to support the local business vs the chains. Team is always pleasant. Loyalty card is great and simple. For flowers and plants, get there at the beginning (Easter, spring, fall, christmas)...they are popular, have nice variety for a small outdoor space, and sell out quickly.

Wonderful selection of plants and bird food/feeders/baths. A bit pricey but well run, phenomenal staff, always clean with plenty of parking. The fish pond is a kid favorite when we visit.

I usually like to shop here because I love buying local and the staff has been friendly, however items are not always priced clearly and on multiple instances, today being the most inconvenient, I've had to either ask for the price of something because I can't find it anywhere or I've been charged more than I thought and didn't realize until it was too late. It's become too much of an inconvenience for me to continue to come back.

I've been there twice so far. I got 10 bags of mulch the first time, and 3 bags of mulch and a propane refill the second time. The service was friendly and the staff was competent. It wasn't busy either time, and there was no wait for my product.

Love Mackey's! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They have a great variety of grain-free dog foods and treats that my dogs love! I usually go in for their food and grab a bag of treats or a toy or two...and either a candle or maple syrup from a local farm. Love the plants and greenery in the spring/summer/fall and winter!
