Absolutely the best ice cream in CT! My family has been to tons of ice cream places and this one is a consistent delight. The flavors are so fun and different and the texture is super creamy and silky! I love that the menu is constantly changing and always bringing us back to try what new flavors they churn up! Can’t recommend this place enough.

Average ice cream at best. Flavors are bland. Ice cream is not creamy at all, but rather tacky and gummy. Strawberry marscapone could barely taste any strawberry flavor. Bananas foster flavor did not taste like banana at all. Really disappointed and had high hopes. Shop is cute and located in a quaint downtown area of Chester. Parking is tough, and you may have to park in the public lot a few blocks away.

By far some of the best Ice Cream I've ever had the pleasure of having! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could, the staff is incredibly polite, well versed in their menu options, and super sweet! Tula, and Heidi were both wonderful when serving me. Will always stop by when I get a chance in the future, I definitely recommend the Oat Milk Latte, and Lavender ice creams!

Small little shop on the main Street.Small selection of ice cream, larger selection of non-dairy.I got a scoop of the Madagascar vanilla bean in a cup with hot fudge. My reason for the one less star is the hot fudge was watered down and did not taste like a hot fudge to me. The ice cream was good.My friend got a scoop of the non-dairy pumpkin with honey drizzle and I tried that, it was really good!!With tax it was right around $14 for both.They are cash only.

Had really high hopes for this place and it was really good. I got lemon honey, cinnamon honey, and PBJ. I added the PBJ last minute and it ended up being my favorite. It was all quality ice cream but I honestly tasted no honey in 2/2 honey flavors, hence the 4 stars. They do do flights, which is a win, and I'm not sure of the details but I saw that they collab with the brewery for a beer and ice cream flight which is awesome. The spoons were wooden but didn't have an awful taste and were very strong. $7.75 for 3 scoops and it was a very good size.

When my wife and I visited Honeycone Craft Ice Cream on it's inaugural opening day my first words to her were, "This ice cream shop reminds me of the ones in Italy." So, if you are looking for an ice cream shop to check off your bucket list then visiting Honeycone Craft Ice Cream is a must. You will not be disappointed.

Terrific, outstanding… I eat only sorbets and I discovered some new tastes, great choices of blending and fantastic “buttery” textures I have never experienced until now. I can only highly recommend to stop in the shop and try, it is worth the trip. Prices are very reasonable and the small shop is charming.

Last year when we were walking down the street in Chester a man stopped us and said, “ do yourself a favor and go to that little store ( pointing at Honeycone) to get a hot chocolate- it’s out of this world!” My bf got one, and the man was right! Zoom ahead a year or so to a cold, raw day in October ( today!) We were kinda sorta near Chester, so we made the drive. This time I indulged in the vegan pumpkin ice cream. Wowza! I have NEVER enjoyed vegan ice cream, but this mom/daughter duo have got some secret sauce goin on there. Creamy, not overly sweet and so flavorful!!There were 3 different options for vegan ice cream. How wonderful 🌱🧡Dietary restrictions: VEGAN options

First of all, let me start off by saying, wow. This ice cream is the best ice cream I’ve had all year. I got the Madagascar vanilla with hot fudge and walnuts. Unbelievably good. It is expensive, but worth every penny.

What a nice spot to stop and have some delicious ice cream. You can sit out in the sun and watch the traffic go by while enjoying your sundae or cone. Don't expect your usual ice cream flavors as they really do put the craft in craft ice cream here. Their black forest sundae was a huge hit with the family. I would definitely go back if on the area.

Cute small shop on the main street. There are only 2 small tables on the sidewalk, so expect to stand or move on. No WC. Almost no place to stand inside, counter, and fridge. Very popular place on a hot, steamy, humid, and buggy evening.Selection of very good, some interesting for sure. But the ice cream is not visible behind the counter. This takes something away from the ritual, watching the cream being scooped from a giant vat. Not here. You buy, you get, you leave. Still, no doubt, the ice cream taste and texture are excellent.The wooden spoons have a gritty rough cat-tongue sandpaper texture, which totally ruined the ice cream. Shudder licking that spoon. Small thing but not really, sadly memorable. Especially since the ice cream is frightfully expensive, 3.5$ for a single tiny scoop, no cone even. A cheap paper cup.Overall, it's not a great experience for the price they ask for.

Their ice cream is delicious! Their ice cream, sauces, sprinkles, and marshmallows are all house made. Staff is friendly and helpful. I have been to many ice cream places throughout CT, and Honeycone is definitely a favorite.

Got the Coconut Almond Chip, wife got the cinnamon honey. Both icecreams were incredibly tasty. We gout our pups some of their icecream, although they didn't say a word they sure did eat it all up! So i think they'd agree with our review.

To say I have a new addiction is an understatement. Ice cream is definately one of my weaknesses and Honey Cone knocks their flavors out of the park! I moved to Chester 3 months ago and have been there every month to try their new seasonal flavors! Some favorites: strawberry oreo, pistachio, sweet corn and bluberry, and most recently pumpkin caramel! Delicious! 10/10 recommend.

It’s one thing if it’s a regular flavor but the flavor was “Olive Oil” - you are telling me I have to commit to an overpriced scoop of ice cream without having tried it first?Looked forward to supporting this place but found that policy impractical and a little rude given the circumstances.I’ll go to scoops!

This place deserves 5 hundred stars, not just 5. The details, from every ingredient to the design of the building, are amazing. They have adventurous flavors, and many equally exciting dairy-free options as well. We loved it so much after the first day that we drove 45 minutes each way to go again the day after. This whole business is made from love, from the ground up. The place is fairly new and will undoubtedly grow to one of the top ice cream spots in CT, or anywhere!

Absolutely outstanding. This ice cream is the real deal and the flavor combos are to die for. I love that they change their flavors regularly depending on month/ season also. Service was great and it was clean. We’ve returned several times and we will keep coming back. Wonderful addition to Chester center and a great woman run local business to support 💖

Fantastic artisan flavors of ice cream in a beautiful shop. Stumbled across this ice cream shop in a picturesque downtown setting. It's in the middle of a very quaint New England style walkable downtown area with coffee shops, restaurants, a brew house and shops. Tried the following specialty flavors of ice cream and LOVED them all: Cinnamon Honey, Baklava, and Date Sesame Brittle. We'll be back soon!

What flavor combinations, it’s so hard to choose! I tried Cinnamon Honey - one of my all time favorites, Blackberry Basil- yummy, delicious blackberries with the basil coming through and Vanilla Smoke - not the marshmallow taste I was hoping for, next time I’ll get The Flight- 6 small scoops to try! Flavors change every month so you’ve got to watch for your favorites!

I visited Honeycone a few weeks ago and I haven't stopped raving about it since. I love it there. Of course their ice cream is delicious, the toppings (homemade caramel, homemade marshmallows!!!!!! and more!) are in my dreams every night, the hot chocolate (also homemade) is the best I've ever had (add one of those marshmallows!! trust me!), but there's so much more to it than that. The place itself just feels joyful. The owners/staff are delightful. The store is beautiful. Every detail of every part of the experience, from the ice cream flavors to the decor, feels so lovingly and thoughtfully selected. Honeycone is my new favorite place and I will continue to rave about it for weeks to come. Thanks for existing, Honeycone!

I’ve been in here a few times since they’ve opened. I came in on Sunday and somewhere between a spoonful of peppermint stick and morsel of pistachio ice cream, I decided this place rightfully deserves a review. The flavors are always innovative and rotating, which is refreshing to see. They not only offer ice cream, but interesting drinks and treats such as a hot apple cider float and Belgian waffles a la mode. The presentation is always beautiful with much thought put in.I spoke with one of the owners and she talked about how many of the ingredients are locally sourced. As someone who has worked in the food industry for years I’m really impressed by the attention to detail and care Honeycone puts into its offerings, keeping it local, always offering something new and innovative, and as fresh as possible!- not an easy task! This place is truly unique and a breath of fresh air. Foodies take notice- Honeycone is a must-travel-to!

Glorious! It is quite expensive for ice cream, so it's probably not the place to take 5 kids if you don't want a big bill, but I don't have kids, and their ice cream is a wonderful and unique treat so it's worth the price for me to pop in every couple weeks. The seasonal ice creams are all fantastic and unique and I want to eat all of them every month. Its probably only the cost that keeps me from visiting every couple days instead, but it's still a 5 star ice cream shop and everyone should visit at least once.
